Seahawks | Tyler Lockett bounces back

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:53:31 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett finished with six catches for 64 yards in a 12-9 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett bounced back a bit after a one-catch performance in the opener, but the Seattle offense remains out of sync overall. Lockett is worth owning in most formats, but he would be a risky start in Week 3 against the Titans.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett listed as questionable

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 14:00:20 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) practiced in full on Friday, Sept. 8, but he is still listed as questionable for Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: If Lockett is to play his impact will be felt more in the return game than on offense, where he is currently slotted as the third receiver behind Doug Baldwin and Paul Richardson.

Seahawks | Seattle's Friday injury report

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 13:59:45 -0700

Seattle Seahawks LB Michael Wilhoite (calf) was a limited participant in practice on Friday, Sept. 8, and is listed as doubtful for Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. DE Frank Clark (wrist), S Delano Hill (shoulder), WR Tyler Lockett (knee), RB Thomas Rawls (ankle), DT Jarran Reed (shoulder) and CB Richard Sherman (thigh) are each listed as questionable after going through a full practice.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett a full participant

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 18:11:26 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: There should be no concern over Lockett's availability on Sunday, but he's not exactly the most encouraging option to implement as a WR3 after a disappointing 2016. However, with Jermaine Kearse no longer in the fold, perhaps Lockett can get back on track with numbers reminiscent of his six-touchdown rookie campaign two years ago.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett practices in full

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 16:50:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett is expected to be the team's primary return man and he'll be used in the passing game, too, although he finds himself behind Paul Richardson in the battle for the No. 2 job. It's expected to be an ongoing battle, as everyone scoots up a spot following the departure of Jermaine Kearse.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett pronounces himself fit

Tue, 05 Sep 2017 17:10:12 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) is listed as Doug Baldwin's backup for the season opener against the Green Bay Packers and is listed as the primary kickoff and punt returner on the team's first official depth chart released on Tuesday, Sept. 5. "I'm ready. Last season was a freak accident. You've gotta control what you can control. … I'm just happy to be back on the field," Lockett said.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett figures to see plenty of action in three-wide sets, but this pretty much removes whatever doubt there was about Paul Richardson starting opposite Baldwin. There is significant upside to be had with Lockett, but his injury history makes him hard to trust as anything more than a WR5 for now. His return is a boon to the Seahawks D/ST unit, however.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett undergoing treatment

Mon, 28 Aug 2017 20:50:50 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) will undergo the Regenokine process as treatment for his leg injury, head coach Pete Carroll announced Monday, August 28. Carroll said he'll be back in time for the club's preseason finale Thursday, August 31, and he isn't concerned with Lockett's injury.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett appears like he'll be fine for Week 1 of the regular season, but that doesn't mean he's a lock to contribute useful fantasy production out of the gate. After registering a disappointing campaign last year with just 41 catches for 597 yards and only one touchdown, Lockett is better suited for deeper formats and can be had towards the end of drafts.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett still not playing

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 13:40:13 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) is not expected to play in Week 3 of the preseason this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett had offseason surgery on his broken leg, so the substantial break from the field isn't surprising. The third-year receiver is one of the biggest deep threats in the league when healthy, but he'll need to fend off Paul Richardson and Jermaine Kearse for significant playing time, not to mention Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham. As such, Lockett is no more than a late-round dart throw in standard leagues.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett back at practice

Fri, 04 Aug 2017 10:40:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) was spotted with a helmet on and was fielding punts in practice Friday, Aug. 4, after beginning camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett was a popular breakout candidate last season, but injuries - his own and Russell Wilson's - seemed to conspire against him throughout 2016. The third-year pro is expected to start ahead of Paul Richardson and Jermaine Kearse this season if he can get up to speed in time after undergoing offseason surgery to repair a broken leg. He's worth a flyer as a WR5 in most leagues.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett could return soon

Tue, 01 Aug 2017 13:55:26 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) could be removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list in a few days, according to head coach Pete Carroll. He participated in two workouts Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Lockett is a legitimate deep threat and one of the best return specialists in the league when he is healthy. He doesn't see many targets, but it doesn't hurt to take a chance on him as a late-round flier in standard leagues.
