Eagles | Lower body injury for Jay Ajayi

Tue, 21 Aug 2018 18:45:47 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi (undisclosed) has been missing practice because of a lower body injury, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi has some time to recover from the injury before the regular season begins, so owners should monitor the situation. Ajayi will be part of a committee this season but likely will lead the team in carries. He can be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in standard leagues.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi wants to show his stuff

Sat, 28 Jul 2018 21:32:16 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi said he feels like people have forgotten about the type of running back he can be. "I'm ready to showcase again to the world who I am as a running back," Ajayi said. "Especially given the role that I should be in this year and what they're saying."

Fantasy Tip: Although he might not be the workhorse he was while with Miami, but he's primed for a bigger role than he had in his first season with the Eagles. Grab Ajayi as a low-end RB2.

Eagles | Bigger load for Jay Ajayi?

Mon, 16 Jul 2018 12:24:47 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi is expected to see more touches in 2018 as he enters a contract year. In seven games with the Eagles a year ago, Ajayi averaged 10 carries per game.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles' backfield is crowded, but Ajayi will be the main guy as long as he is healthy and producing. Corey Clement and Darren Sproles will take away a lot of his PPR value, but Ajayi is a prime low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 candidate.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi prepping for big role

Thu, 31 May 2018 18:26:09 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi said he wants to be a "workhorse" for the offense this year and show what he is capable of doing in a big role.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi isn't going to be an every-down back for the Eagles, but with LeGarrette Blount out of the mix, he could see most of the carries on early downs. He is a low-end RB2 candidate.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi played limited role in postseason

Sun, 20 May 2018 12:50:01 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi played fewer than half the team's snaps in the playoffs, according to NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.

Fantasy Tip: It's not surprising from the standpoint Ajayi arrived at midseason. It's a bit surprising from the perspective that Ajayi is clearly the Eagles' best back, but Philadelphia seems pretty content with its committee backfield approach. Even with the departure of LeGarrette Blount and an offseason to learn coach Doug Pederson's offense, the ex-Miami Dolphin is probably going to struggle seeing enough consistent playing time to be a low-end fantasy RB2.
