Raiders | Amari Cooper finally breaks out

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 21:16:37 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper caught 11 passes for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns during the team's Week 7 win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper's 210 yards far surpassed his total from the first six games combined (146), and the touchdowns were his first since Week 1. It was a monster game from Cooper, who was targeted a whopping 19 times, but it could've been even bigger as he again allowed a couple of catchable balls to slip through his fingers. Still, this is the type of performance fantasy owners have been waiting for from the third-year wideout. It'll be hard to keep him out of your lineup in Week 8.

Raiders | Low yardage for Amari Cooper

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 04:39:56 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper caught five of six passes for 28 yards in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper only dropped one of his passes, which is an improvement from previous yards. Still, he is a risk to play in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, what with the short week and the Chiefs coming off the loss to Pittsburgh.

Raiders | Amari Cooper practices in full

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 14:35:04 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 13, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper is expected to be in the lineup, but he has been a risky fantasy play this season due to his high number of drops and nagging injuries. He has definitely performed well below fantasy expectations to date.

Raiders | Amari Cooper limited again Thursday

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 16:14:08 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper has arguably been the biggest disappointment in all of fantasy football thus far, but it looks like he'll have another crack at turning things around on Sunday. Fortunately for him, Derek Carr appears more likely than not to return in Week 6, and a home date with the Chargers could lead to a healthy number of points on the board. Don't be surprised if he posts another dud, however, given his current knee ailment.

Raiders | Amari Cooper limited in practice

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 15:45:42 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Cooper will be good to go for Week 6 against the Chargers, but is that good? Something has been off with Cooper this season, and it's uncertain if his knee has been hindering him for longer than reported. He has had key drops at inopportune times and he just hasn't been himself so far this season.

Raiders | Amari Cooper struggles again

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 20:20:50 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper had one catch on two targets for eight yards in a 30-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper hasn't even cracked double-digit receiving yards in the last three games, and if EJ Manuel is still under center in Week 6, Cooper should probably be left on the bench.

Raiders | Amari Cooper to be more involved?

Sat, 07 Oct 2017 18:33:16 -0700

Oakland Raiders QB EJ Manuel said he is going to make an effort to make WR Amari Cooper more involved in the offense early against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper is off to a dreadful start, and having Manuel under center instead of Derek Carr could prolong his slump. Cooper should be fine in the long run, but he is a risky WR3 in Week 5.
