Raiders | Amari Cooper held to one catch

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 20:36:21 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper posted just one catch for six yards in the Week 3 game against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper and the Raiders offense was held down by a dominating Washington defense. He'll look to bounce back in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos, but that's another difficult matchup. Treat Cooper more as a WR3 for Week 4.

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 22, and was removed from the injury report heading into Week 3 against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper faces a Redskins pass defense allowing 266.5 yards per game, so there is opportunity for a big stat line. He remains a solid WR2 in all fantasy leagues for Week 3.

Raiders | Amari Cooper limited in practice again

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 16:56:28 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: This appears to simply be standard procedure for the star third-year wideout. While he's only registered nine catches for 95 yards thus far, he does have a touchdown and has also drawn 18 targets. To put that into perspective, if he maintains that pace of nine per game, he'd end up with a career high. Cooper should be a solid WR1 this week, as he has a delicious matchup on tap in Washington on Sunday night.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper has been on the injury report since the start of the season but has not missed any time and should be in uniform Week 3. Sun, 17 Sep 2017 19:19:57 -0700

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper finished with four catches on five targets for 33 yards in a 45-20 win over the New York Jets in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: This game was decided early, which likely played a role in Cooper's modest stat line. However, Michael Crabtree steady presence in the passing game could keep Cooper from being more than a WR2 this year.

Raiders | Amari Cooper is a go for Week 2

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (knee) practiced fully for a second consecutive day Friday, Sept. 15, and he was removed from the injury report for Week 2 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper opened the 2017 season with a solid performance, including a trip to the end zone while being targeted 13 times. He faces a good matchup against a middle of the road Jets pass defense which plan to work in man coverage. He should be considered a low-end WR1 or top-notch WR2 in most fantasy leagues.
