Vikings | Stefon Diggs unsure of status

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 10:07:47 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) said his status for this weekend is up in the air at this point, adding that his 2016 groin injury was more severe than his current groin issue.

Fantasy Tip: Do the Vikings want to rest their star receiver another week to get him back to full health or are they willing to take a chance on aggravating Diggs' injury? If Diggs does play, he'd be facing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL in the Baltimore Ravens. Prospects are bleak for Diggs this week.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs does not practice Wednesday

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 11:27:45 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) did not practice again Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Diggs was unable to practice all of last week and isn't getting off to a great start this week. With Michael Floyd (calf) also not practicing Wednesday, Adam Thielen could repeat his 13 targets from a week ago versus the Baltimore Ravens. If Diggs and Floyd cannot go in Week 7, it would also likely push 2016 first-round draft pick Laquon Treadwell into the starting lineup.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs ruled out

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 11:13:53 -0700

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) will not play in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers due to groin injury.

Fantasy Tip: As expected. Adam Thielen owners figure to benefit the most from this news. Although Green Bay's defense has improved since late last season, Thielen ripped the Packers for 12 catches, 202 yards and two touchdowns the last time he saw them. Michael Floyd could be also a bit of a wild-card with Diggs out, although he is only worth a speculative add at this point.

Vikings | No practice Friday for Stefon Diggs

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 09:47:04 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 13, for the third straight day.

Fantasy Tip: Diggs reportedly intends to play, but owners should make other plans, if for no other reason than he has established a reputation for being unable to perform well when dealing with injury. Adam Thielen figures to see the biggest bump in targets should Diggs sit, while Kyle Rudolph would also be a reasonable TE1 play against the Green Bay Packers. Michael Floyd might even worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs doesn't practice

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 11:37:47 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Diggs has already said he plans on playing, but not only may he not be 100%, his ceiling lowers a bit with Case Keenum manning the offense. Diggs should still be started if he plays, but expectations should be tempered.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs planning on playing

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 20:24:51 -0700

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) said that he plans to play in the team's Week 6 game Sunday, Oct. 15, versus the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: He may be gearing up to play in this Sunday's big NFC North rivalry game, but that doesn't mean he'll be at 100 percent, as he missed practice on Wednesday and will be coming off a short week. After Diggs' disappointing one-catch effort on Monday, it's apparent he may not be the safe WR2 option that he normally is, especially with Sam Bradford (knee) back on the sidelines. Owners should be monitoring his health leading up to the weekend.
