Chicago Bears LS Patrick Mannelly (knee) said his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament is going as planned at this point and expects to be ready for the start of training camp. He said he has been running and snapping but needs more reps so he can build strength in the knee.

Chicago Bears LS Patrick Mannelly (knee) said he, OT Gabe Carimi (knee) and WR Johnny Knox (back) have been rehabbing at the team's facility every day this offseason. Mannelly hopes to be snapping by the spring but is not sure if he will be medically cleared to practice.

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears C Patrick Mannelly (knee) suffered a knee injury in Week 11, and he might be lost for the season, according to a league source. FB Tyler Clutts filled in as the emergency long snapper, Mannelly's primary job. Mannelly made his team record 147th consecutive start Sunday, Nov. 20.
