Cowboys | Colombo to undergo surgery
Mon, 16 Nov 2009 12:34:13 -0800 Calvin Watkins, of ESPNDallas.com, reports Dallas Cowboys OT Marc Colombo (ankle, fibula) will undergo surgery to fix ligaments on his left ankle Monday, Nov. 16, after suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 10. He also has a fracture on his fibula near his left knee that will not require surgery. The recovery time for his fibula injury is six weeks. General manager Jerry Jones has said that Colombo will miss the rest of the year.
Cowboys | Colombo not ruling out a return in 2009
Sun, 15 Nov 2009 19:11:54 -0800 Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said OT Marc Colombo's (fibula) 2009 season is over after he suffered a broken left fibula Week 10, but Colombo is not ready to shut himself down for the year. Colombo said, "I'm mad but I'll get back on the field as soon as possible and it'll definitely be this season. We've got seven, eight weeks left in the season. I'm not a doctor but I know I'm going to go out and rehab as much as I can."
