After heading to the locker room, Pritchett re-entered the game with approximately seven minutes left in the first quarter, with his right hand in a cast.

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears intend on re-signing FB Stanley Pritchett, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent March 3. We're planning on [bringing him back],'' offensive coordinator Terry Shea said. "Our fullback has got to be able to catch the football going away from the quarterback. It takes a real flexible player to do that. If he can do that, we've got ourselves a good fullback.'' The team expects to re-sign Pritchett to the veteran minimum around the start of the free agency period March 3.

The Philadelphia Eagles official site reports fullback is one position the team has no worries about. Cecil Martin has looked terrific in workouts and is making strides as an offensive weapon. Veteran Stanley Pritchett makes a valuable backup and because of his pass catching abilities, he may be utilized in the one back set. There is also competition from free agents Jamie Reader (XFL) and Brennan Ochs (USC). Both Reader and Ochs will have to impress on special teams if they have a shot at making the team.

All four missed all or parts of the team's mini-camp last month. In other injury news, DE Brandon Whiting suffered a sprained left foot this week and WR Eric McCready suffered a knee injury.

Phil Sheridan reports for the Inquirer Philadelphia Eagles LB Jeremiah Trotter, who has not yet signed his 2001 contract, reported on time for the team's weekend mini-camp. The camp is mandatory for those players under contract. RBs Duce Staley (foot) and Stanley Pritchett (leg) and OT Jon Runyan (foot) are not scheduled to take part in contact drills as they recover from their injuries. OT Tra Thomas, as previously reported, was involved in a motorcycle accident last weekend. He may be held out of mini-camp to keep the seven stitches in his leg from popping loose. DE Greg Jefferson (knee) could see some action.

The injury was originally diagnosed as a sprained left knee. RB Darnell Autry's (ankle sprain) return is questionable. RB Chris Warren has been practicing in the one-back set and will keep working on learning that formation. Reid also said rookie RB Thomas Hamner could be activated for Sunday's game. According to their official site, should the ankle injury to RB Darnell Autry keep him sidelined for this week's playoff game, the Eagles will turn to Chris Warren as the primary player in the two-back offense. If Autry doesn't play, Stanley Pritchett will be the lone back in the single-back set. Coach Andy Reid said he is not concerned about Warren's fumbles last week and that he'll look to Warren to feel more comfortable this week.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Chris Warren stated he still has a lot of football in him and he's looking forward to helping the Eagles on their playoff run. Warren said he doesn't have a lot of the offense down yet but he'll be playing mostly in two-back sets this weekend, which likely means he'll be replacing Darnell Autry on the field as Stanley Pritchett usually runs in the single-back set.

According to an article by Armando Salguero in the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have told agent Drew Rosenhaus they plan to tender some of their Free Agents represented by him. The team will make $437,000 one-year tenders to S Shawn Wooden and LB Anthony Harris. The tender gives the Dolphins the right to match any offer and receive a sixth-round draft pick from any team signing Wooden. Harris carries no compensation as he was undrafted. The team is also leaning toward $437,000 offers to FB Stanley Pritchett and DL Shane Burton. DE Daniel Stubbs, who was not taken in the expansion draft, may be traded or waived by the team before March 1st to save some salary cap room.
