The Minnesota Twins signed SS Nick Gordon, the fifth overall pick in this year's draft, to his rookie deal Monday, June 9. He'll start his career with rookie-level Elizabethton June 19. Gordon is the son of former RP Tom Gordon and the brother of Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Dee Gordon. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The Minnesota Twins selected Olympia High School SS Nick Gordon with the fifth overall pick in the MLB Draft Thursday, June 5.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon is the son of former reliever Tom Gordon and the brother of current Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Dee Gordon. The bloodlines are clearly there. Gordon is expected to fill out his frame and eventually hit for gap power.
