New England Patriots CB Malcolm Butler and the New Orleans Saints are getting closer to an agreement, as the "parameters" of a deal are "mostly" in place. There's just "some quibbling" over guaranteed money, and once the two sides agree to terms, the Patriots will have the option of matching the offer or letting him go to New Orleans at the cost of the Saints' first-round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. They can also work out a trade, which would be contingent on Butler signing the contract New England tendered to him before free agency.
