Falcons | Taylor Gabriel targeted eight times

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 14:02:53 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel managed four receptions for 39 yards on eight targets in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Gabriel was busy in the pass game with Mohamed Sanu on the shelf, although it was Marvin Hall with the scoring reception rather than Gabriel. He is worth a look as a WR4 or flex option in deeper PPR formats in Week 7 at New England if Sanu remains sidelined.

Falcons | Taylor Gabriel targeted five times

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 16:33:43 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel was targeted five times in the Week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills but he had zero catches.

Fantasy Tip: Matt Ryan had to look for secondary and tertiary receivers in the loss, as both Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu left early in the game due to injuries. Gabriel emerged as a valuable fantasy player last season when Jones was sidelined, and he could be useful again if Jones or Sanu missed time due to their injuries. Fortunately, the team has Week 5 to recuperate during a bye.

Falcons | Taylor Gabriel posts three receptions

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 15:38:46 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel posted three catches for 36 yards on four targets in Week 1 at Chicago.

Fantasy Tip: Gabriel did about what is expected of him from a fantasy perspective as long as Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu are healthy and on the field with him. He is only worth using in the deepest of fantasy leagues at the moment. The Falcons host the Packers in Week 2.

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 12:17:47 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel (leg) will play in the preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals Saturday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Gabriel probably will see limited snaps during the game since he has missed some practice time because of the injury. Falcons | Julio Jones, Taylor Gabriel limited

Mon, 07 Aug 2017 15:45:13 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) and WR Taylor Gabriel (leg) were limited during practice Monday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Both Jones and Gabriel are being eased back into practice but are in no danger of missing the start of the regular season. Jones is one of the most consistent receivers in the NFL and should be a No. 1 WR in all leagues. Gabriel was a factor in the Falcons passing game in 2016 and finished with 579 yards and six touchdowns. He can be seen as a No. 4 receiver in leagues with the chance to be a flex option against certain teams.

In addition to Gabriel and Roberts, WRs Reginald Davis III, Devin Fuller, Marvin Hall and Josh Magee practiced at the position Friday, July 28.

Falcons | Taylor Gabriel has leg strain

Wed, 26 Jul 2017 08:53:27 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel (leg) will be limited at the start of training camp with a strain in his lower leg. The team has a plan in place to ease him back.

Fantasy Tip: Gabriel was kept out of minicamp due to the issue, but it doesn't sound serious. He emerged as a big-play receiver last year that probably won't produce a lot of volume. Mix and match him as a WR4 in fantasy.

Tue, 13 Jun 2017 14:02:16 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel (undisclosed) did not participate in minicamp Tuesday, June 13, as he deals with an undisclosed injury.

Fantasy Tip: It doesn't appear to be too serious of an ailment for Gabriel, who was an unsung performer for the Falcons in 2016. Gabriel is mainly a deep threat who will only have real value when Julio Jones is unable to play.

Falcons | Taylor Gabriel signs RFA tender

Sat, 22 Apr 2017 15:04:55 -0700

Atlanta Falcons restricted free-agent WR Taylor Gabriel signed his one-year tender worth $2.81 million on Saturday, April 22.

Fantasy Tip: Gabriel emerged as a big-play threat last season by scoring seven times on only 39 touches, including six touchdown catches. He's likely to remain the third receiver in Atlanta again this year behind Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu, but his role shouldn't change much even with the departure of former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. He's worth a look late in drafts.
