The San Diego Union-Tribune's Tom Krasovic thinks Watt made the most progress of the team's draft picks. Watt was praised by general manager Tom Telesco for his football smarts.

San Diego Chargers OG Chris Watt, who had never played center in college, was snapping balls in 11-on-11 drills in organized team activities Monday, June 2. He also worked at both right guard, and he's improved his shotgun snaps in the last two weeks with help from offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris. The Chargers may be looking for a long-term candidate at center with Cs Nick Hardwick and Richard Ohrnberger in their contract years.
