Blue Jays | Jose Reyes out of lineup

Sun, 26 Apr 2015 07:24:59 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes is out of the lineup Sunday, April 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays. Reyes is presumably just getting a day of rest. 2B Devon Travis will move up to the leadoff spot.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) remains a strong value play on FantasyScore and is a near must-start. Travis extended his hit-streak to 11 games Saturday and he will be a strong option again, even against Rays righty Chris Archer.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of your cap) has been a monster with a .386-5-16 line during the first couple of weeks of the season. At this price, he's a must-start on FantasyScore.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis back with bang

Wed, 22 Apr 2015 22:27:45 -0700

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (ribs) returned to the lineup Wednesday, April 22, against the Baltimore Orioles and he had three hits, including the go-ahead home run.

Fantasy Tip: Travis has four homers to pull into a three-way lead with more heralded sluggers Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion. At $2,800 (or 5.6% of cap) he is a solid source of power at a cheap price.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis returns to lineup

Wed, 22 Apr 2015 13:30:55 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (ribs) is starting at second base and batting second against the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday, April 22. Travis has been sidelined since suffering a rib contusion Sunday, April 19.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is outperforming expectations early in 2015, and he stands to be a great value play for FantasyScore players again Wednesday. Before suffering the injury Sunday, he was riding a seven-game hitting streak with five runs, two home runs, nine RBI with a .379 batting average (11-for-29). Travis is worth owning in the majority of seasonal leagues, too.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis not playing Tuesday

Tue, 21 Apr 2015 14:19:36 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (ribs) is not in the starting lineup again Tuesday, April 21. 2B Ryan Goins is starting at the keystone and hitting ninth in the batting order against Baltimore Orioles SP Bud Norris.

Fantasy Tip: Travis is fine and should return to the lineup Wednesday. Goins ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is a light-hitting infield option at FantasyScore that should probably be avoided, especially while hitting at the bottom of the lineup. When Travis returns, he may not be hitting at the leadoff spot with Jose Reyes (rib) avoiding the DL. However, he's been hot and remains a solid second base option for daily gamers.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (ribs) suffered a left rib contusion on Sunday, April 19.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) could be out for a few games if the contusion is severe enough, so keep an eye on his status for future games before de-activating him from your lineup.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis leading off

Fri, 17 Apr 2015 11:04:39 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis is hitting leadoff against Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran Friday, April 17, with SS Jose Reyes (rib) out.

Fantasy Tip: With Reyes out this weekend at least and likely to head to the disabled list, Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) should benefit by moving up to leadoff in his absence. The rookie second baseman is off to a fine start, too, hitting .371 (13-for-35) with two home runs and 10 RBI. He gains more FantasyScore intrigue in the short term atop Toronto's dangerous lineup.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis could lead off

Thu, 16 Apr 2015 20:42:05 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis is an option to hit lead off while SS Jose Reyes (rib) is out with an injury, according to manager John Gibbons.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is off to a strong start despite batting at the bottom of the order, hitting .343 with two home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBIs. If he is moved to the top of the lineup, he would become a must-start bargain option at FantasyScore.

Blue Jays | Devon Travis wins 2B job

Fri, 27 Mar 2015 04:52:13 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis has won the second base job and will be one of the team's Opening Day middle infielders.

Fantasy Tip: Travis could be worth a late-round flier in some fantasy drafts, but not much is known yet about what Travis can do. Still, he won the 2B job so the team does have some confidence in him.
