New York Giants rookie RB Andre Williams needs to prove that he is valuable in the passing game, both as a receiver and pass blocker, before he will see significant playing time. "I have the pass protection down to a good degree," Williams said. "I think the thing they look for, first and foremost, is just making sure the running back knows who he has in protection. The technique can always be worked on." Williams saw time with the first-team in the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 3, because the team wants to see if he can be brought along quickly to contribute immediately.
Fantasy Tip: Williams could easily earn the backup role to Rashad Jennings if he proves he can handle passing situations early in the year. Peyton Hillis is listed as the backup for now, but Williams clearly has more upside as the handcuff to Jennings.

New York Giants RB Peyton Hillis has moved up to the No. 2 RB on the team's depth chart with RB Andre Williams as the No. 3 RB.
Fantasy Tip: If Williams continues to play like he did in the team's first preseason game, he will move up the depth chart and his fantasy football value will continue to rise.

New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) has been shut down by team doctors because of the neck injury he suffered last week, according to a source. It is believed the injury could be career ending.
Fantasy Tip: Rashad Jennings likely will be the team's starting running back with Wilson not being able to compete for the job. Jennings should be considered a low-end No. 2 or No. 3 running back in most leagues. Andre Williams could become more valuable with this news and should be seen as a No. 4 running back.

New York Giants RB Peyton Hillis handled the bulk of the repetitions with the second-team offense Thursday, July 31. RB Michael Cox is also in the mix. RB Andre Williams continued to receive most of the goal line carries.
Fantasy Tip: Whoever wins the backup spot has RB5 value.

New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) "needs a miracle" from his surgeon's evaluation to be able to continue his playing career, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Wilson had some value as a RB4 or RB5. However, his career, and obviously his fantasy prospects for 2014, are in serious doubt. Andre Williams, Peyton Hillis or Michael Cox could elevate to RB5 status.

New York Giants RBs Rashad Jennings, David Wilson and Andre Williams could be used in a three-man rotation this season to keep Jennings fresh.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings will be the lead back with Wilson in to change the pace. Williams could be the goal line back. Jennings is a decent RB3 with Wilson an RB4. Williams could be a decent flier as an RB5 with upside in TD-only leagues.

New York Giants RB Andre Williams served as the team's goal-line back Tuesday, July 22.
Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Williams becomes the next Brandon Jacobs for the Giants, but as long as he is receiving regular touches around the goal line, he is relevant for fantasy purposes. He will likely be a touchdown-dependent option, but he is still worth grabbing late in drafts to provide some depth at the RB spot.

New York Giants RB Andre Williams could unseat RB Peyton Hillis as the power back by the start of the year and become a part of a three-man rotation with RB Rashad Jennings and RB David Wilson, according to Giants.com writers John Schmeelk and Dan Salomone.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is the favorite to be the featured back, but with Wilson's injury history, there is a chance Williams could carve out a worthwhile role in the offense. He probably isn't worth drafting at this point, but he is worth keeping an eye on to see how his role develops.

New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) met with doctors Wednesday, June 4, and will do so again in July. He expects to be cleared for full contact in camp.
Fantasy Tip: Wilson will compete not only with his own health but also Rashad Jennings and rookie Andre Williams in this new offense. Wilson is still a notable late-rounds selection in most fantasy drafts.

New York Giants RB Andre Williams said he is unsure if the Giants will use a three-headed monster at running back with him, RB Rashad Jennings and RB David Wilson. "I can't really say they're going to build that three-headed monster," said Williams. "I'm not really too sure yet. I'm just getting here and learning as much as I can. I think each running back brings a lot of different specialties, and I'm just excited to see what we'll be able to do once we're out on the field."
