Atlanta Falcons OT Jake Matthews (foot) is recovering from surgery he had this offseason and will miss most of the offseason activities. General manager Thomas Dimitroff said Matthews is healing well.

Atlanta Falcons OT Jake Matthews (ankle) is expected to play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Mike Smith said Monday, Sept. 15. Matthews was listed as a limited participant in practice, and he is expected to be a full participant Tuesday, Sept. 16. If he plays, OT Gabe Carimi would shift back to right tackle, where he was rotating with OT Lamar Holmes.
