Brad Keselowski Racing driver Ryan Blaney finished third at the 1-800 CarCash Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway Wednesday, July 23, and he took over the points lead in the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series as a result. Blaney leads Thorsport Racing driver Matt Crafton for the series lead by four points.

|Wood Brothers | Mulling options to replace Trevor Bayne|

Wood Brothers Racing co-owner Eddie Wood said some prospective drivers stopped by the team's hauler last weekend in Charlotte after the announcer driver Trevor Bayne was moving on to Roush-Fenway Racing next season. The Wood Brothers have not met with Ford Racing or sponsor Motorcraft/Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center about Bayne's replacement, but Ford is expected to have a large say in the process. Potential replacements might be Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney, who races Fords in the Nationwise Series and Camping World Trucks Series, and Roush-Fenway developmental drivers Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed.

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney is entered in the No. 12 Ford with Greg Erwin as the crew chief. Blaney will attempt to make his Sprint Cup Series debut this weekend at the 5-Hour Energy 400 at Kansas Speedway. He is attempting to join his father, Dave Blaney, as the first father and son to compete in the same Sprint Cup Series race since Atlanta in 2005.

|Team Penske | Ryan Blaney to make two starts|

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney will be scheduled to make two Sprint Cup Series starts in 2014. The Penske team also added 15 Nationwide Series races to his schedule. Blaney will be entered in the Cup races at Kansas in May and Talladega in October in the No. 12 SKF Ford Fusion.
