Ravens | Terrance West to miss more time

Sat, 14 Oct 2017 18:25:23 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) is expected to be sidelined beyond Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: With West out of action, Javorius Allen and Alex Collins should both see an uptick in playing time. Allen's role in the passing game makes him the stronger option overall, and he is worth starting as a low-end RB2 or flex option against the Chicago Bears in Week 6.

Ravens | Terrance West ruled out

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 12:14:45 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 13, and has been ruled out for Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Alex Collins and Javorius Allen likely will share work at running back this week with West sidelined. Both players have played well over the last few weeks and can be at least a flex option in most leagues. Allen could be a low-end No. 2 running back in point-per-reception leagues because of his role in the passing game.

Ravens | Terrance West a no-go for Week 6

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 12:13:10 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: West was fully expected to miss multiple weeks and has fallen to third on the depth chart anyway, so his absence isn't a big deal for the Ravens or fantasy owners in general. Javorius Allen should carry the bulk of the load, while Alex Collins figures to log roughly 10 to 12 carries should Ravens establish an early lead and milk the clock as they are expected to do against a banged-up Bears' defense.

Ravens | Terrance West does not practice Friday

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 09:19:30 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 13, for the third straight day.

Fantasy Tip: West will almost certainly not play in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears, although it appears he has already fallen to third on the depth chart anyway. Javorius Allen will again be expected to carry the bulk of the load, while Alex Collins figures to log roughly 10 to 12 carries should Ravens establish an early lead and milk the clock as they are expected to do against a banged-up Bears' defense.

Ravens | Terrance West misses another practice

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 10:30:28 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) was not present for practice Thursday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: West will indubitably be sidelined for this weekend's contest. Javorius "Buck" Allen and Alex Collins will comprise a two-headed backfield, but Allen is the back to start, particularly in PPR formats. On the season, he is averaging 13 PPR points per game.

Ravens | No practice for Terrance West

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 11:30:55 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Fantasy Tip: West was expected to miss "some time" with his injury, so this should not come as a shock. However, Alex Collins and Buck Allen have taken control over the Ravens' backfield for now, so owners can take this opportunity to part ways with West if they haven't done so already.

Ravens | Terrance West expected to miss 'some time'

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 11:52:40 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) received good news from his MRI on Monday, Oct. 9. Although he is expected to miss some time, he is not facing an extended absence, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Tip: Buck Allen and Alex Collins have taken over the Baltimore backfield for now, so West would probably be advised to make sure he is 100 percent before returning. Even with the running back landscape being what it is in fantasy, West is probably safe to drop in most leagues.

Ravens | Terrance West leaves with calf injury

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 15:47:09 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) left the Week 5 game against the Oakland Raiders due to a calf injury and he was unable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Buck Allen and Alex Collins handled the carries into the second half for the Ravens. West has fallen out of favor in recent weeks, and an injury won't help him get back into the mix. He can safely be dropped if you need the roster spot.
