Falcons | Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman to be held out

Tue, 21 Aug 2018 20:34:23 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones and RB Devonta Freeman will not play in either of the last two preseason games, according to head coach Dan Quinn. Quinn said he did not want either to play in the preseason because of their injury histories.

Fantasy Tip: Freeman and Jones will be ready for the start of the regular season and both will be popular fantasy options in all leagues. Jones will be a No. 1 receiver and likely will be selected in one of the first few rounds of drafts, while Freeman can be a No. 2 fantasy running back.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman running smarter

Sun, 10 Jun 2018 20:41:35 -0700

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman has been working with running backs coach Bernie Parmalee on "getting skinny" when he finishes runs to help reduce the hits he takes and stay healthier over the course of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Freeman battled multiple injuries last year, but he still managed more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage and scored eight times. Those numbers should increase if he can stay on the field for 16 games, and Freeman remains a low-end RB1.
