Texans | Alfred Blue mostly bottled up

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 16:20:37 -0800

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue rushed 11 times for 28 yards in the regular season finale in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans. He also had three catches for 12 yards on four targets.

Fantasy Tip: Blue started for the injured Lamar Miller, but didn't do much. If he starts again in the wild-card round, Blue is only worth a look as a flex option in deeper postseason fantasy pools.

Texans | Alfred Blue's style praised

Sun, 25 Dec 2016 18:18:53 -0800

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue was praised by head coach Bill O'Brien following the Week 16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals for his physical running style and ability to wear down defenses.

Fantasy Tip: With Houston clinching a playoff spot, Blue could start again Week 17 if the Texans opt to rest Lamar Miller. Even in a starting role, Blue is no more than a flex option against a tough Tennessee run defense.

Texans | Alfred Blue runs for one TD

Sun, 25 Dec 2016 03:42:12 -0800

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown in a 12-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: With Lamar Miller sidelined due to an ankle injury, Blue was pretty effective in his place. Blue should help keep the seat warm as long as Miller is out, so he is worth safely drafting next week if Miller is injured.

Texans | Alfred Blue to start Sunday night

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 16:08:07 -0800

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue will make the start in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals with RB Lamar Miller (ankle) inactive.

Fantasy Tip: Blue will likely have help with Akeem Hunt and Jonathan Grimes also seeing touches. Blue isn't a bad low-priced DFS pick against the league's 26th-ranked rushing defense of Cincinnati.

Texans | Alfred Blue totals 17 touches

Sun, 11 Dec 2016 21:51:28 -0800

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue rushed 16 times for 55 yards in the Week 14 game against the Indianapolis Colts and he added one catch for no gain on his only target.

Fantasy Tip: Blue's rush total was his highest of the season, and he has seen a bigger role in the offense over the past five games. Despite the increase touch and yardage totals, he remains nothing more than a low-end RB3 unless Lamar Miller goes down to a long-term injury.
