Texans | Arian Foster unsure of availability

Tue, 23 Sep 2014 09:32:07 -0700

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring), who is day-to-day with a hamstring injury, is unsure if he'll be able to return in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills. RB Alfred Blue replaced Foster in Week 3 and ran for 78 yards on 13 carries in the loss. Foster has 55 carries for 241 yards in two games this year.

Fantasy Tip: Foster's status will likely depend on how much he practices this week. Because of that, he could be a risky play against the Bills at FantasyScore. He'll cost you $8,100 (16.2% of cap).

Texans | Ronnie Brown to see field a lot

Sun, 21 Sep 2014 08:59:47 -0700

Houston Texans RB Ronnie Brown is expected to play a lot Sunday, Sept. 21, in the opinion of beat writer Tania Ganguli.

Fantasy Tip: Brown ($3,700; 7.4% of your cap) is a bare-minimum flex option today, but he has little upside at his advanced age. If anything, it speaks more about the team's outlook on Alfred Blue ($3,700; 7.4%). Blue probably isn't a good flier to take today.

Texans | Arian Foster inactive

Sun, 21 Sep 2014 08:28:44 -0700

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is inactive for the Week 3 game Sunday, Sept. 21. RB Alfred Blue is expected to start.

Fantasy Tip: Blue ($3,700; 7.4% of your cap) is a good flex option on FantasyScore if you want to load up on other high-priced commodities.

Sun, 21 Sep 2014 06:36:46 -0700

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is a long shot to play in Week 3 Sunday, Sept. 21. RB Alfred Blue is expected to start.

Texans | Alfred Blue sees more action

Sun, 14 Sep 2014 17:31:08 -0700

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue carried 11 times for 40 yards in the Week 2 game against the Oakland Raiders, while RB Jonathan Grimes had just three carries for nine yards. Neither player had a reception.

Fantasy Tip: Blue appears to have unofficially moved ahead of Grimes on the depth chart behind Arian Foster. However, neither is particularly useful from a fantasy perspective unless Foster goes down with a long-term injury.

Texans | O'Brien: Foster 'to play a lot'

Fri, 05 Sep 2014 08:08:26 -0700

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster will "get the bulk of the playing time" in Week 1, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. Jonathan Grimes, Alfred Blue and Ronnie Brown will be mixed in for certain situations. It'll be Foster's first game action -- regulation or exhibition -- since his season-ending back injury in 2013.

Fantasy Tip: There really isn't much of a FantasyScore discount with his $7,800 price (15.6% of your cap), but it's a decent matchup, so it's not a terrible play. How he holds up after this game may dictate his workload over the next few weeks.
