Thu, 09 Aug 2018 11:43:31 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. is not expected to play in the first preseason game Thursday, Aug. 9, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham may only see playing time in the third preseason game, but he does not want to risk things while still looking for a long-term deal. He will be one of the first receivers selected in all drafts and likely will go in the first or second round.

Giants | Odell Beckham closer to extension?

Mon, 06 Aug 2018 10:31:39 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr.'s agent has been having contract extension talks with the Giants over the last few days, and both sides are encouraged that an agreement could be reached before the start of the regular season, according to sources. The deal likely would make Beckham the highest paid receiver in the NFL.

Giants | Odell Beckham happy to be back

Sat, 04 Aug 2018 12:53:44 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) is thankful to be back on the field, and he said Saturday, Aug. 4, that his broken left ankle last season gave him a new perspective on life and football.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham had an eventful offseason, as he experienced a 10-month rehab, trade rumors and then there are contract talks and his statements about wanting to be the highest paid receiver in the game. He is scheduled to make $8.5 million this season, and he could have a giant season with money as a motivating factor. Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown is earning $17 million average per season on a four-year deal. As long as his ankle is 100 percent - and there is no reason to believe it's not - OBJ is one of the best receivers in the game. The addition of a strong run game with rookie Saquon Barkley could actually open things up for the pass game, too.

Giants | Odell Beckham contract talks open

Thu, 02 Aug 2018 05:27:40 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. opened contract talks with the team earlier this week, according to a source. His attendance to offseason workouts, organized team activities and minicamps did not go unnoticed by the organization.

Fantasy Tip: OBJ could wind up the highest-scoring player in fantasy in any given year. There is enough talent around him to keep defenses busy if Eli Manning can get him the ball. Feel secure with him as your top wideout.

Giants | Odell Beckham works from the slot

Thu, 26 Jul 2018 19:19:45 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. saw a lot of time in the slot during practice Thursday, July 26.

Fantasy Tip: Moving Beckham inside more often should lead to some more catches and more opportunities for him to make big plays after the catch. He's already a top-three fantasy option at his position, but it's encouraging to hear that the coaching staff is willing to be a little creative with how Beckham is deployed.

Giants | Odell Beckham talks to start soon

Thu, 26 Jul 2018 10:01:59 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr.'s contract negotiations will begin sooner rather than later, according to owner John Mara. Mara said he thinks Beckham is moving in the right direction and that it meant something that he was present for the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham has had his issues on and off the field, but he deserves to be one of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL. If he can focus on this year and what he does on the field, he's a top-three fantasy wide receiver candidate.

Giants | Odell Beckham Jr. looked healthy in spring

Tue, 10 Jul 2018 10:13:38 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly ran routes at full speed and "seemed to be his old self" last month at mandatory minicamp, according to teammate Eli Manning.

Fantasy Tip: The Giants still have the small matter of resolving Beckham's contract situation, as it appears the two sides could be headed toward a showdown. Assuming he is on the field and can stay healthy this season, Beckham should be drafted as a top-five receiver with the upside to lead his position in fantasy scoring.

Wed, 20 Jun 2018 19:53:13 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. could still consider a holdout if he does not receive a new contract, according to sources in Beckham's camp. Beckham has said he plans to report to training camp on time.
