Packers | Rookie receivers improving

Mon, 07 Jul 2014 12:46:23 -0700

Green Bay Packers WRs Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis are continuing to make strides as the offseason progresses. This progress was especially noticeable during minicamp, according to a source. However, Abbrederis said he's still getting used to knowing the play calls, when to break off routes and getting checks at the line, while Janis admits it will be tougher once training camp comes and things get more physical.

Fantasy Tip: The Packers are extremely deep at wide receiver even with the loss of James Jones. Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Jarrett Boykin lead the pack, so it will be tough for Abbrederis and Janis to become fantasy relevant this early in their careers. It's best to leave them alone on draft day in standard leagues.
