Giants | Two Giants out of the lineup

Tue, 26 Jul 2016 16:19:00 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Jarrett Parker and 3B Conor Gillaspie are not in the starting lineup against Cincinnati Reds SP Cody Reed Tuesday, July 26. OF Mac Williamson will start in right field and is batting third. 2B Ramiro Pena will start at third base, while 2B Grant Green will start at second base and is batting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Williamson is hitting .293 with four home runs and 11 RBI this month and can be an attractive option for owners in daily fantasy leagues. Grant is hitting .300 in his limited playing time this season but is still not a great fantasy option.

Fantasy Tip: Williamson has recorded at least one hit in five of his last seven games and has three home runs and seven RBI during that span. He can be a sleeper option for owners in daily fantasy leagues, and owners in deeper mixed leagues could consider him if he continues to see solid playing time.

Giants | Mac Williamson starting Saturday

Sat, 23 Jul 2016 10:27:25 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson is starting in right field and batting eighth against New York Yankees SP Ivan Nova Saturday, July 23.

Fantasy Tip: Williamson only brings a .237 average into today's contest, but he has played well during the Giants' road trip so far. He has a long ball and four runs batted in in his last two games, including a pinch-hit RBi double last night. Williamson is worth a look as a cheap outfield play in daily contests.

Giants | Jarrett Parker, Mac Williamson starting

Tue, 19 Jul 2016 11:35:25 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Jarrett Parker is serving as the designated hitter and batting sixth against Boston Red Sox SP Rick Porcello Tuesday, July 19, and OF Mac Williamson is in right field and hitting eighth. OF Gregor Blanco receives the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Parker shouldn't be dismissed as a sleeper in daily games, as he has some pop with five home runs and 11 RBI in 100 at-bats. Williamson is hitting just .225 (16-for-71) with four long balls and nine RBI and is more of a deep sleeper tonight in DFS.

Giants | Gregor Blanco remains sidelined

Wed, 06 Jul 2016 16:43:54 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Gregor Blanco (knee) remains out of the starting lineup Wednesday, July 6. OFs Mac Williamson and Jarrett Parker continue to start in the outfield against Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa.

Fantasy Tip: You could certainly do much worse with sleeper picks in daily setups than Williamson and Parker. Both have potential to bring value against De La Rosa. Parker has more of a power profile but has struggled against lefties (.100). Williamson is more of a deep sleeper with his .224 average and three home runs and eight RBI in 25 games.

SS Ruben Tejada will start at third base and is batting first. 2B Grant Green will start at second base and is batting second. OF Mac Williamson will start in right field and is batting sixth. C Trevor Brown will start at catcher and is batting eight. C Buster Posey will start at first base, while 1B Brandon Belt will start in left field.

Fantasy Tip: Tejada, Green, Williamson and Brown are not strong fantasy options and owners should be able to find better options to use.

Giants | Mac Williamson logs three hits, HR

Thu, 23 Jun 2016 15:25:32 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson recorded the first three-hit day of his career Thursday, June 23, opposite the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 3-for-4 on the day, including blasting his second home run of the season, finishing with one run scored and two RBI.

Fantasy Tip: In a rarity, Williamson got to hit in the No. 3 hole and the second-year outfielder responded with the best game of his still-young career. At the same time, he had three hits all month entering this afternoon's affair, so owners shouldn't be rushing to the waiver wire after this one performance. For the year, Williamson has a .243/.317/.432 line in limited action.
