Bengals | Jeremy Hill struggled after contact

Mon, 25 Jan 2016 15:41:11 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill averaged only 1.46 yards after contact this season, which ranked him behind 42 other running backs in the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: Hill saw a drop in his rushing yards this season even though he had nearly the same amount of carries as last season. He finished the regular season with 794 yards and 11 touchdowns. Hill probably will split work with Giovani Bernard again next season and could be a middle-round option.

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 16:33:17 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had 16 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 19 yards in a 24-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals have been relying heavily on Hill in Andy Dalton's absence, and if Dalton is unable to return for the playoffs, expect Hill to continue to see plenty of touches.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill scores twice

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 19:13:12 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had 19 carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-14 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: The two scores masked an otherwise poor outing as Hill once again struggled to gain many yards per carry. He has become a touchdown-dependent option at FantasyScore.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had seven carries for 16 yards and two catches for eight yards in a 33-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: After back-to-back strong outings, Hill came up small against Pittsburgh. He remains a risky option from one week to the next at FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill reports feeling fine

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 16:10:56 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the Week 12 game against the St. Louis Rams, but he said Sunday, Nov. 29, after the game that he was OK.

Fantasy Tip: Hill should be monitored during practice this week. If he cannot go, or is limited, Giovani Bernard would see even more responsibilities in the offense.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill leaves game

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 13:07:19 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) left the team's Week 12 game early because of an ankle injury.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Hill will miss any playing time. Giovani Bernard would receive a bigger role in the offense if Hill is dealing with a significant injury and should be a starting option even if Hill will be able to play.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill could disappoint Sunday

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 18:23:27 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill faces the St. Louis Rams in Week 12, and the Rams have allowed five rushing touchdowns to running backs this season.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) hasn't topped 60 rushing yards since the opener, and at this point, he is a completely touchdown-dependent option at FantasyScore. Sit him against a stingy St. Louis defensive front.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill finds end zone twice

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 22:21:19 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill carried 13 times for 45 yards and a pair of touchdown runs in the Week 11 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Hill wasn't quite back to his 2014 form, but he did run very hard and is worth using as a flex option in most fantasy formats going forward.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill stuck in neutral

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 21:37:42 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill ran seven times for just 15 yards in the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans Monday, Nov. 16. He also had three receptions for five yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hill cannot seem to get it going, and his amazing rookie season seems like a distant memory. Giovani Bernard had 13 touches to just 10 for Hill, and it appears Gio has re-taken his spot at the top of the depth chart.

Bengals | OC not satisfied with Jeremy Hill

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 09:50:47 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is averaging only 3.1 yards per carry on 74 rush attempts through six games for 232 yards, and his average is two full fewer yards per attempt than a year ago in his rookie season. "He still doesn't play like I want him to play yet, I'll be the first to tell you guys that," offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said. "I'm not going to run from that, he can't run from it either. I mean, there's another level for him and he'll get there and I believe that with my whole heart."

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has been a big fantasy disappointment as an early-round pick, but his five touchdowns have been his saving grace so far. As long as Giovanni Bernard continues to overshadow him, Hill will be a very frustrating fantasy play, especially in PPR leagues like FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill leads the backfield

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 19:52:42 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had 16 carries for 56 yards and a 13-yard touchdown catch in a 34-21 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) had twice as many carries as Giovani Bernard ($6,700, 13.6% of cap), but Bernard finished with just eight fewer yards and scored a rushing touchdown. The Bengals continue to use a committee approach in the backfield, making both players risky options at FantasyScore from one week to the next.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill still the starter

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 07:23:56 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is still the starting running back, according to offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. "Jeremy hasn't had the success that he had a year ago, and I think that's what everybody's looking for," Jackson said of his back who averaged 5.1 yards per carry last year. "But Jeremy's playing and playing well. Jeremy's still our starting tailback. Everybody has seen over the last couple games that (Giovani Bernard) has got more carries, more opportunities than Jeremy. Well, eventually that's going to flip.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) and Bernard ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) have a rough matchup against the Buffalo Bills this week. Bernard might have more upside due to his receiving ability, but the tandem doesn't have a lot of upside in the matchup on FantasyScore.

Bengals | Rough game for Jeremy Hill

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 17:08:05 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had eight carries for 13 yards and one catch for 12 yards in a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has struggled with efficiency all season, and Giovani Bernard ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) has been seeing more action as a result. Hill still has somevalue at FantasyScore because of his role as the goal-line back, but he is basically a touchdown-dependent play at this point.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill expected to play

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 13:50:47 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 9, and is listed as probable for the Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) should see his normal workload in Week 5 but likely will continue to share time with Giovani Bernard. Hill will be facing a tough Seahawks defense but could still be a starting option for owners.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill limited Thursday

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 15:49:31 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is coming off a three-touchdown game against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but his matchup with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5 isn't the most favorable. Plus, he'll still be splitting touches with Giovani Bernard. Invest in Hill at your own risk on FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill limited

Wed, 07 Oct 2015 14:13:16 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Hill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is in danger of missing the Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He received only nine carries in the last game but was able to score three touchdowns during the game. Hill likely will continue to share time with Giovani Bernard but could still be a solid starting option.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill scores three times

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 18:27:28 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had nine carries for 40 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, but he has scored five times. As long as he is receiving most of the goal-line carries, Hill will have plenty of upside at FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill sees limited snaps

Mon, 28 Sep 2015 07:35:57 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill was on the field for 26 of Cincinnati's 77 offensive snaps in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: Not encouraging. Hill's role could change with each matchup, but his Week 2 fumbles appear to have cost him significant playing time.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill expected to have old role

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 08:08:25 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is expected to receive his normal workload against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3 even though he was benched in Week 2 because of two fumbles.

Fantasy Tip: Hill's ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) workload could be affected by his ability to secure the ball, so he could be a risky option for owners. He facing a Ravens defense that has played well against the run and may not be the greatest option for owners.

Bengals | Fumbling an issue for Jeremy Hill

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 16:29:50 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill has seven fumbles in 18 career NFL games. The fact that Hill was benched in favor of RB Giovani Bernard, who ran 20 times for 123 yards in Week 2 against the San Diego Chargers, further hammered home the point for Hill. "We can't have the back fumbling the football," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "Jeremy's a talented young player and we've got to keep the football. That wasn't part of his deal last year and we can't let it creep in." Hill had five fumbles as a rookie in 2014.

Fantasy Tip: If Hill's ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) fumbling issues continue, his owners may need to start looking for alternatives. He'll likely be a contrarian play on FantasyScore in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens after Bernard ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) outperformed him in Week 2.

Bengals | HC says Jeremy Hill will be fine

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 13:13:37 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill will be fine and will earn the Bengals' trust, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis may be saying this to spark confidence in Hill, who has had his share of fumbling issues in his short career thus far. Don't overreact to Hill being benched in Week 2. He's one of the more valuable running backs in fantasy football when he's not fumbling; and he scored twice in Week 1. Start him as you normally would this week.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill benched in Week 2

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 13:32:02 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill was benched during the third quarter after losing two fumbles in Week 2's game against the San Diego Chargers. He finished the game with 39 yards on 10 carries and was replaced by RB Giovani Bernard.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) made the most of his opportunity, gaining 123 rushing yards on 20 carries and catching three passes for 16 more yards versus San Diego. It remains to be seen if Hill ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) will regain his starting job for next week's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bengals | Cincinnati has lethal RB duo

Wed, 02 Sep 2015 14:59:49 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RBs Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard both finished among the top-16 running backs in point-per-reception leagues last season.

Fantasy Tip: Hill will be the Bengals' starter, but Bernard should see his fair share of playing time, particularly on passing downs. Don't expect them both to finish in the top 16 again, but Hill and Bernard should be considered a RB1 and RB2, respectively, in PPR leagues.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill likely to see majority reps

Mon, 03 Aug 2015 22:52:41 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is likely to see a majority of the reps in the backfield over RB Giovani Bernard, according to beat writer Paul Dehner Jr.

Fantasy Tip: Hill is the better fantasy option than Bernard in standard fantasy formats, while Bernard is on even footing in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). Hill wrapped up the regular season in 2014 with three 100-yard games with three rushing touchdowns, and he could emerge as a Top 5 fantasy option at his position.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill urged to embrace hype

Sat, 11 Jul 2015 18:18:02 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill has been told to embrace the hype surrounding him in 2015 by offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. "To me, if a guy wants to be great, he's got to relish that," Jackson said. "He's got to want that and then go exceed it. That would be my challenge to (Hill). I expect him to exceed whatever the expectation is about him."

Fantasy Tip: Although Giovani Bernard will have a steady role in the offense, Hill has the higher upside and should still provide RB2 value.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill wants to improve strength

Fri, 03 Jul 2015 16:54:21 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill said he wanted to build up the strength in his legs this offseason in hopes of improving his acceleration into the second level of opposing defenses. Hill said he believes he was tackled by the first defender too often last season.

Fantasy Tip: Hill will be part of a two-man committee at running back this season but should receive more carries that he did last season. He rushed for 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns last season and could be a solid No. 2 running back for owners in 2015.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill expects to share snaps

Fri, 29 May 2015 14:28:19 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill said he expects to share carries with RB Giovani Bernard this upcoming season. "Obviously there's going to be a balanced attack," Hill said. "I don't think he's got to wear either one of us out, so that way we can make it through all 16 games for a playoff push."

Fantasy Tip: Hill led the team in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in 2014 and probably will be more valuable in fantasy leagues this season. Giovani Bernard will see solid playing time and could be more of a factor in the passing game, which increases his value in point-per-reception leagues. Hill and Bernard should be selected in drafts in 2015.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill injured ankle

Mon, 05 Jan 2015 09:16:33 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) injured his ankle in the team's wild-card playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Jan. 4. Hill had 13 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals' loss eliminates Hill from FantasyScore consideration for the rest of the season. Heading into next year, Hill could be a nice RB2 target, with more value coming in standard leagues as he continues to share time with Giovani Bernard in the backfield.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill rolls up big stat line

Mon, 22 Dec 2014 21:21:57 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill carried 22 times for 147 yards and a touchdown in the Week 16 game against the Denver Broncos Monday, Dec. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Hill went over 1,000 yards, becoming the first Broncos rookie to hit the mark since Corey Dillon in 1997. Hill's 85-yard touchdown scamper in the first half likely made the difference in plenty of seasonal fantasy league championships.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill hobbles off

Mon, 22 Dec 2014 18:47:24 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (foot) left the Week 16 game against the Denver Broncos in the second quarter due to an apparent left lower leg or foot injury.

Fantasy Tip: Hill was able to make his way off under his own power, although he appeared hobbled. He is already over 100 yards rushing in the first half thanks to an 85-yard touchdown run. He has helped many fantasy owners to their championship trophy right now, even if he doesn't play another down.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill dominant in run game

Sun, 14 Dec 2014 14:03:02 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill carried 25 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns. He also added a reception for four yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hill averaged 5.9 yards per tote, while seeing a total of 26 touches. Giovani Bernard had 15 carries for 79 yards and three receptions for 24 yards. The touches weren't quite split down the middle, as the team wants to move to have a primary and secondary ball carrier. However, with a blowout score, the secondary carrier might have had a few more touches. Hill is the better option going forward in FantasyScore at this point.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill has big first half

Sun, 14 Dec 2014 11:30:13 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries in the first half of the team's Week 15 game.

Fantasy Tip: Hill has been sharing work with Giovani Bernard but has received 16 carries as opposed to Bernard's six. Hill could be an attractive option on FantasyScore as long as he receives a majority of the carries during games.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill the better second-half back

Thu, 11 Dec 2014 18:03:34 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is averaging 4.8 yards per carry in the second half of games this year, and RB Giovani Bernard is averaging 2.8 yards per carry in the second half of games.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is set to start for the Bengals in Week 15, and his tendency to improve in the second half of games makes him an intriguing play at FantasyScore in what will likely be an expanded role.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill to start in Week 15

Thu, 11 Dec 2014 11:44:33 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill will be the starting running back over RB Giovani Bernard for the team's Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals have used a tandem approach with Hill and Bernard otherwise, with the two backs often alternating series. Bernard's snap counts have been near equal to Hill's in the last three weeks after returning from injury. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson favors a one-back system. "I'm used to having one guy kind of dominate some carries because, in order for backs to be really good, they've got to get lathered up to play," Jackson said. "You've got to get a feel for the game."

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,300) is the team leader in rushing this year with Bernard missing some time to injury earlier this year. Hill now becomes a much safer play at FantasyScore for his price against the Cleveland Browns, while you should look to avoid Bernard ($5,900) at a slightly higher price.

Bengals | Cincy RBs likely 50-50 again

Sun, 07 Dec 2014 09:20:23 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RBs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill are likely to have a 50-50 split again in Week 14 Sunday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard's ($6,900; 13.8% of your cap) salary is still quite prohibitive on FantasyScore. Hill ($5,300; 10.6%) is at a better price point, but we'd probably look elsewhere.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill ripped by OC

Mon, 01 Dec 2014 20:01:05 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill criticized the team's game plan against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13, and offensive coordinator Hue Jackson responded by saying Hill needs to block better and break more tackles.

Fantasy Tip: Hill and Giovani Bernard split snaps just about 50-50 in Week 13, but it will be interesting to see if Hill loses any touches after taking a shot at the play calling.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill forecasted for more

Fri, 21 Nov 2014 07:00:40 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill will be the leader in a 65-35 split of the carries with RB Giovani Bernard in Week 12, in the opinion of beat writer Paul Dehner Jr.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($5,800; 11.6% of your cap) is a solid play this week on FantasyScore as a flex option. Bernard ($6,800; 13.6%) should be avoided until he becomes a bigger part of the offense.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill has earned more plays

Wed, 19 Nov 2014 22:05:12 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is likely to get a bulk of the carries in Week 12 against the Houston Texans, according to beat writer Geoff Hobson, despite the return of RB Giovani Bernard (clavicle, hip). Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson indicated Wednesday, Nov. 19, that Bernard will be eased back into the process.

Fantasy Tip: If you're trying to decide between Bernard and Hill for FantasyScore purposes, Hill is the better play at $5,800 (or 11.6 percent of the cap). He is cheap than Bernard ($6,800 or 13.6 percent of the cap), and he is expected to see more touches.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard may be out longer

Thu, 06 Nov 2014 11:34:50 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (hip), who won't play in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns Thursday, Nov. 6, could be out longer. RB Jeremy Hill will continue to be involved when Bernard returns, as well.

Fantasy Tip: Plan to be without Bernard ($6,900) for some time. Hill ($5,700), who was a great option at FantasyScore last weekend, should carry that momentum with him against the Browns on a short week. The Browns have been generous to the running back position for much of the year.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (hip) has zero chance of losing his starting job after RB Jeremy Hill's big game in Week 9, according to beat writer Coley Harvey.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill strong in first start

Sun, 02 Nov 2014 16:35:06 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill made his first NFL start in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars with RB Giovani Bernard (hip, shoulder) inactive. He ran for a career-high 154 yards with a pair of touchdowns. "Soaking it all in, man," Hill said. "You never know when you're going to get another opportunity like that. It's the opportunity of a lifetime."

Fantasy Tip: Hill made a lot of FantasyScore owners smile. It's uncertain if he'll make another start in Week 10, but Bernard has a short turnaround to get ready for the Cleveland Browns Thursday, Nov. 6. If Hill makes a second straight start, he will be a decent play against the Browns.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill probable to return

Sun, 02 Nov 2014 11:16:28 -0800

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (knee) is considered probable to return to the team's Week 9 game after missing time with a knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Hill should be fine after hurting his knee during the game. Hill likely will receive most of the work at running back and should continue to start as long as Giovani Bernard is out.

Sun, 02 Nov 2014 11:08:07 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (knee) limped off the field after suffering a knee injury in the team's Week 9 game.

Fantasy Tip: Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead likely will share work at running back while Hill is sidelined. The severity of Hill's injury is not known, so owners will need to watch for an update in the near future.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill to start in Week 9

Fri, 31 Oct 2014 11:14:15 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill will start in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars with RB Giovani Bernard (hip) ruled out. The team is also unsure if Bernard will be able to play in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns Thursday, Nov. 6, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. Hill has 195 yards and three touchdowns on 50 carries this year. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson is confident that Hill can carry the load with Bernard out. RBs Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead will also see repetitions.

Fantasy Tip: Hill is an excellent purchase this weekend against Jacksonville for just $3,700 (7.4% of cap). Peerman and Burkhead likely won't see enough work to justify their placement in any fantasy lineups.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard-Jeremy Hill tandem impressing

Thu, 18 Sep 2014 11:11:48 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RBs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill have formed an impressive backfield tandem under offensive coordinator Hue Jackson so far after two games. Bernard is on pace for 328 carries and Hill is on pace for 152. Bernard and Hill combined for 164 yards on 42 carries in the Week 2 win over the Atlanta Falcons. "Both guys are showing they can not only run it, but they also have the ability to catch it and they not only can catch it, but they can make runs after the catch. Their creativity is a key factor in what's been going on. When you have weapons where anytime a guy can get the ball and they can take it to the house, it makes you feel good," former running backs coach Jim Anderson said.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard and Hill could both have big days again in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans defense. Bernard is the lead back and will cost more at FantasyScore ($7,900; 15.8% of cap), which will make Hill ($5,500) more of a bargain most weeks.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill finding stride

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 20:05:04 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is on pace for a total of 152 carries, while RB Giovani Bernard is on pace for 328 carries. The most runs in franchise history by two backs is 405, set in 2000. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson isn't outing any particular numbers out there for carries, and said it goes from series to series who will see the ball. He said that is why he calls plays from the sidelines, so he can sense the ebb and flow of the game.

Fantasy Tip: Hill has emerged as a solid low-end RB2 or flex play in weekly leagues, and he is a solid mid-level option in FantasyScore daily play as well. While he sees a fraction of the carries as Bernard, he also turns in great production when given the chance.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill sees limited work

Mon, 08 Sep 2014 08:50:21 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill only played 10 offensive snaps in Week 1. RB Giovani Bernard played 57 snaps in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Hill was expected to be used more and could be in the future. However, he's a questionable flex option at this point. Bernard is a mid-to-low RB1 option at the right price on FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill improving run style

Thu, 04 Sep 2014 20:43:59 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill said he has learned to be more patient and to run lower to the ground in order to avoid big hits and remain fresh late in games. "That's why you can't let guys just get clean, flush shots on you," Hill said. "You have to deliver the blow to them before they do it to you."

Fantasy Tip: He will split carries with Giovani Bernard, but Hill has established himself as the team's power back and should receive a bulk of the caries around the goal line. At his $4,300 salary (8.6% of cap), Hill offers a lot of upside for the price, and the money you save can be used to load up your roster at other positions.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard to be fed more

Thu, 04 Sep 2014 07:18:29 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard will likely see more touches than RB Jeremy Hill in Week 1, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: The fact that this question was even asked bodes well for Hill. Bernard checks in at $6,700 on FantasyScore as a weak RB1 this weekend in Baltimore. Hill is priced at $4,300, and he is an interesting flex option for bargain shoppers this week.
