Seahawks | Paul Richardson reaches end zone

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 05:34:22 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson had three catches for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: He also led the team with seven targets, which might have contributed to Jimmy Graham only being looked at twice. Richardson is far too inconsistent to use against the Los Angeles Rams next week except as a weak flex play.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson leads team in win

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 19:25:31 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson finished with four receptions for 70 yards on seven targets in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson had the biggest plays in the pass offense in this 24-13 victory, and Russell Wilson looked to the wide receiver the most. The wideout is in a contract year, so he'll be trying even harder down the stretch to turn heads for that big pay day in the offseason. As such he's a solid WR4 or flex fantasy option in Week 13 and beyond.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson draws season high in targets

Mon, 20 Nov 2017 23:05:27 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson finished with five catches on eight targets for 56 yards in the team's Week 11 loss Monday, Nov. 20, versus the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: This was somewhat of an encouraging outing from Richardson, as it was the most throws he's received in a game all season, and the result was his second outing with at least five receptions. Still, he's decisively behind Jimmy Graham and Doug Baldwin on the food chain, which severely caps his ceiling as a WR3.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson expected to play

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 11:21:38 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (groin) plans to take the field Thursday, Nov. 9, but could be on a snap count, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson's name has a lot of caution tape wrapped around it tonight. It's better to keep him on the bench tonight after a short week. Doug Baldwin is an automatic start and Tyler Lockett makes for a decent flex option in standard leagues.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson down to the wire

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 09:21:46 -0800

Updating previous reports, Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (groin) is considered a game-time decision Thursday, Nov. 9, but there is optimism he plays.

Fantasy Tip: He has had a good stretch the last few games, but with a short week and his boom-or-bust nature, he's not the kind of start you want against the Arizona Cardinals this week.

FS Earl Thomas (hamstring) did not practice and is listed as doubtful. LB D.J. Alexander (ankle), WR Paul Richardson (groin), DT Sheldon Richardson (oblique) and CB Richard Sherman (Achilles') did not practice and are listed as questionable. OG Oday Aboushi (shoulder), DE Michael Bennett (heel), TE Jimmy Graham (ankle), OT Germain Ifedi (finger), CB Jeremy Lane (thigh), WR Tyler Lockett (shoulder) and RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Seahawks | Questionable tag for Paul Richardson

Wed, 08 Nov 2017 15:26:28 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson may be a game-time decision for Week 10 after missing the last two days of practice, so owners will need to check the inactive list. He has recorded three touchdowns over the last three games, but owners may want to consider other starting options because of his uncertain status.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson misses practice

Tue, 07 Nov 2017 16:43:49 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (groin) was held out of practice Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Tip: It's worrisome that Richardson couldn't practice with game day being about 48 hours away. It would be telling if he is able to practice tomorrow or not. Given the fact that he's on a short week, it's not advisable to start him if he continues to miss practice.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson cools off in Week 9

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 20:51:56 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson posted three receptions for 41 yards on his three targets in Week 9 against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: His stat line would have been even worse if not for a late 26-yard catch in the fourth quarter. Still, Richardson remains a pretty decent WR4 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 against the Cardinals on Thursday night. The Seattle offense has been pass-heavy of late.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson finds end zone twice

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 18:58:10 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson posted six receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets in Week 8 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson has been outstanding in the past two weeks, going for 166 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He has at least two receptions in each of his seven games this season, and he has found the end zone at least once in four of the past six outings. He has emerged as a dependable WR4 in most PPR formats, and if he keeps going this way he is going to be a solid standard option, too.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson, Tyler Lockett do little

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 20:37:09 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WRs Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett each had three receptions in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams, with Richardson posting 35 yards and Lockett going for 26.

Fantasy Tip: Both players are battling for targets as the No. 2 wide receiver, but neither is seizing the job. Until one emerges as the clear-cut No. 2 behind Doug Baldwin they're nothing more than WR4 or flex options in deeper fantasy leagues.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson hauls in three balls

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 21:26:17 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson posted three receptions for 65 yards on his three targets in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson's yardage total was a season high, but it was his first time in three games failing to find the end zone. He has been contributing nicely as a WR4 and he'll be a decent fantasy option in Week 5 against the Rams on the road.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson expected to go

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 14:56:08 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (finger) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 22, and he is no longer on the injury report for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson dislocated a finger, had it popped back into place, and then he scored the game-winning touchdown in Week 2. He is expected to be fine for Sunday's visit to Nashville and he remains a solid WR4 or flex fantasy play.

Seahawks | Seattle injury report for Week 3

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 14:49:07 -0700

Seattle Seahawks CB Neiko Thorpe (ankle) did not practice Friday, Sept. 22, and he is listed as out for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. LB D.J. Alexander (hamstring) did not practice and is considered questionable, while LB Terence Garvin (shoulder) and TE Jimmy Graham (ankle) practiced in full but are still also questionable. CB Richard Sherman (hamstring, Achilles') did not practice, but he was lifted from the injury report, while OG Luke Joeckel (knee), DE Marcus Smith (illness), LB Bobby Wagner and WR Paul Richardson (finger) all practiced fully and were also removed from the injury report.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson takes part in practice

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 17:07:28 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (finger) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson has caught six passes for 78 yards and one touchdown in the first two games of the season and could receive a few targets against the Tennessee Titans. The Seattle offense has struggled so far this season, so owners could consider benching Richardson if they have better options.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson expected to be fine

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 16:24:44 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (finger) is expected to be fine for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans, head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson suffered a dislocated finger in the Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He was able to return to the game and ended up with the game-winning touchdown grab, so it appears he'll be good to go in Week 3.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson practicing again

Wed, 16 Aug 2017 12:28:08 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (shoulder) was back in pads and participating in practice Wednesday, Aug. 16. Head coach Pete Carroll has already said Richardson will be ready for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson is an unsung commodity in the Seattle's offense. His volume won't be as high as we want it to be, but he's worth a dart throw in later rounds, primarily in standard formats.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson ready by Week 1

Tue, 15 Aug 2017 14:43:32 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (shoulder) will be good to go for Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Richardson suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 of the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson is a sneaky, under-the-radar player this year in Seattle's underappreciated passing offense. He has big-catch ability and should be free in the later rounds of drafts.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson injures shoulder

Sun, 13 Aug 2017 19:26:24 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (shoulder) exited the preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson has flashed the talent that made him a second-round pick, but durability has been a huge issue, and he's dinged up again. He has a lot of upside for a player who should be available late in drafts, but don't count on him playing the entire season.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson cements depth chart leap

Seahawks | Paul Richardson making a move

Tue, 01 Aug 2017 20:47:44 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson is running ahead of Jermaine Kearse in two-receiver sets so far at training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Lockett is still working his way back from a broken leg, but Richardson's ascension over Kearse is notable and overdue. Kearse brings very little playmaking ability to the table, while Richardson began to flash the talent that made him a second-round pick in 2014 last season. Richardson may not be ready for redraft consideration in most leagues quite yet, but he will be worth a late pick if Lockett has a setback.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson continues playoff surge

Sat, 14 Jan 2017 17:32:01 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson had four catches for a game-high 83 yards in a 36-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Saturday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson flashed some upside during the postseason, but the production came with Tyler Lockett out of action. Richardson is worth a late-round flier in drafts next year, but temper expectations.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson takes part in practice

Fri, 13 Jan 2017 14:08:25 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (foot) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 13, and is not on the injury report for the Divisional round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson was targeted four times in the Wild Card playoff game and finished the game with 48 yards and a touchdown. He should have a role in the passing game this week and could be a flex option in some leagues.

Seahawks | Full practice for Paul Richardson

Thu, 12 Jan 2017 17:14:09 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (foot) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Jan. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson had a quiet regular season, but he found the end zone in Seattle's playoff opener. With a potential shootout with Atlanta on tap in the divisional round, he could deliver as a DFS sleeper once again.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson practices Wednesday

Wed, 11 Jan 2017 16:40:18 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (foot) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson caught three passes for 48 yards and one touchdown in the Wild Card playoff game and probably will have a solid role in the passing offense against the Atlanta Falcons. Owners in fantasy leagues can consider Richardson as a flex option.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson finds the end zone

Sat, 07 Jan 2017 20:41:28 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson finished with three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown in a 26-6 win over the Detroit Lions Saturday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson had just 288 yards and one touchdown the entire regular season, so don't read too much into his stat line. He will be nothing more than a DFS lottery ticket in the divisional round.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson scores touchdown

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 17:58:59 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson posted four grabs for 42 yards and a touchdown on five targets in the Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson stepped up when Tyler Lockett went down with an ugly injury. He might be worth a look as a WR4 if your fantasy league plays into Week 17.

Seahawks | Russell Wilson working with receivers

Sun, 10 Apr 2016 11:02:04 -0700

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and WRs Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson have been working out together at the University of Southern California.

Fantasy Tip: It's always encouraging when quarterbacks and wide receivers work together during the offseason. Lockett definitely has more upside than Richardson and is one of the more promising young deep threats in the NFL. Doug Baldwin, Lockett and Jermain Kearse figure to be Seattle's top three wide receivers. It's safer to stay away from Richardson for now.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson healthy

Thu, 25 Feb 2016 16:50:09 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) is already healthy and ready to play, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Carroll said Richardson's return is a big deal to the Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson has yet to get the ball rolling in his young career, but he was injured for all of last season, save one game. He can make an impact in the NFL and in fantasy football, but he'll have to prove himself before being someone of importance to fantasy squads.

Seahawks | Paul Richardson feeling better

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 22:08:30 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) said Wednesday, Nov. 18, that he is already feeling better than what his MRI revealed earlier in the week. "He doesn't feel it and he has really good strength in his hammy, so it's a little misleading right now, we need to find out what that means," head coach Pete Carroll said.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could be an explosive downfield threat, something the Seahawks lack, if he can get on the field and stay on the field. FantasyScore owners will want to take a pass for now and wait to see how he does over the next game or two before trusting him again.
