Seattle Seahawks WR Chris Matthews is seeing plenty of time with the team's top-end receiver rotation including WRs Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. Matthews looks to be building off his big performance in the Super Bowl last year. WRs Ricardo Lockette and Tyler Lockett could be fighting for a roster spot. WR Paul Richardson (knee) is on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Fantasy Tip: Matthews has some real nice big-play ability, and he'll certainly enter the season as a deep fantasy wideout sleeper. The fact that the Seahawks run the ball a lot will make it tough for Matthews to be a consistent contributor unless an injury opens up more looks for him.

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (undisclosed) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Friday, July 31.
Tue, 14 Jul 2015 12:43:44 -0700
Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (knee) could return early in training camp, but is most likely to have a delayed return, according to head coach Pete Carroll, as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Fantasy Tip: Richardson has good speed but is small in stature. He could have more opportunities in the passing game if he reaches and maintains full health, but he's still only worth drafting for wide receiver depth.
Wed, 25 Mar 2015 21:40:57 -0700
Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (knee) might not be ready for the start of the season, head coach Pete Carroll indicated Wednesday, March 25. Carroll did say Richardson's rehab was going well, but the nature of his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament means the receiver might not be ready.
Fantasy Tip: Richardson is a big target who will see his growth stunted since he is doing rehab during the offseason rather than going through the program with his teammates. It might take a while for Richardson to get on track if and when he is ready, so fantasy owners need not bother with him on draft day.

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (knee) will miss the remainder of the playoffs and could miss the start of next season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 10.
Fantasy Tip: There is no stable fantasy option among Seattle's receivers, but with Richardson sidelined, Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse could be worth a taking a chance on at FantasyScore next weekend depending on their price tags.

Mon, 22 Dec 2014 10:20:11 -0800
Seattle Seahawks TE Luke Willson and WR Paul Richardson emerged in the team's Week 16 win over the Arizona Cardinals, and Richardson may be forced to start in Week 17 with WR Jermaine Kearse (hamstring) injured. Willson posted 139 yards receiving and two touchdowns against the Cardinals.
Fantasy Tip: Both Willson and Richardson will likely be at basement level FantasyScore prices again in Week 17, making them deep sleepers yet again. The matchup against the St. Louis Rams is appealing, too, but both players remain a shot in the dark in daily games.

Seattle Seahawks OT Russell Okung (chest) has been ruled out for Week 16. C Max Unger (ankle, knee) and DE Demarcus Dobbs (ankle) are listed as doubtful. WR Chris Matthews (hamstring) and TE Tony Moeaki (shoulder) are listed as questionable, while TE Cooper Helfet (ankle), WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) and OG J.R. Sweezy (ankle) are listed as probable. Helfet, Richardson and Sweezy fully participated during practice Friday, Dec. 19, while the other players did not practice.

Sat, 25 Oct 2014 09:54:55 -0700
Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin will be the kick returner in Week 8, while WR Paul Richardson will be the punt returner. Baldwin and Richardson will replace WR Bryan Walters (concussion), who has been ruled out for the game.
Tue, 21 Oct 2014 17:22:47 -0700
Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson caught four passes on five targets for 33 yards in Week 7. Richardson was targeted just once in the team's first five games.
Fantasy Tip: It is probably no coincidence that Richardson's sudden involvement came after Percy Harvin was traded earlier in the week. The rookie has big-play speed, and while he will likely struggle to make a consistent impact, he could make a nice low-priced gamble at FantasyScore in Week 8. Richardson's $3,000 salary (6% of cap) is the minimum for the position, and the Seahawks will be facing a Carolina defense that is allowing the fourth-most points in the NFL this year.

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson has shown quickness and good passing skills during practice, and the team is looking for ways to use him, according to Pete Carroll. "He continues to show that he's really, really fast and he can get up on you and he's real comfortable catching everything that you throw at him," Carroll said. "We're real excited about Paul and hopefully we'll just keep learning him and figuring him out and figure out how to best utilize his talents. He got talents; he's really quick in and out of his breaks. I love his catching range so we'll try to figure it out but we're real excited right now."

Tue, 03 Jun 2014 16:51:09 -0700
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is impressed with the speed of the team's receiving corps, especially thanks to the addition of WR Paul Richardson, who the team drafted this year. "Yeah, our receivers right now are as fast as it gets. You've got Percy Harvin, Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse is extremely fast too. Then you add Paul Richardson who you saw today went for that deep, deep ball that I threw to him. He's looking exceptional as well. So I think our receiver group is probably one of the faster in the league right now, based on who we have."
Fantasy Tip: Don't be fooled now that Seattle has more wideout depth in 2014; the Seahawks remain a run-first squad. Richardson will have to battle for playing time behind Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin, and he probably won't have a significant enough role to be worth a draft pick this fall.
