Browns | Jarvis Landry officially signs extension

Sat, 14 Apr 2018 10:27:00 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry officially signed a five-year extension Friday, April 13, worth $75.5 million.

Fantasy Tip: Landy should be a big part of the passing game for the Browns this season and could work as a slot receiver most of the time. Owners in most fantasy leagues can consider Landry a low-end No. 2 or a No. 3 receiver next season.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry is close to finalizing a five-year, $75.5 million extension Thursday, April 12, which is expected to be done today. The deal will guarantee him $47 million.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is coming off a 112-987-9 season that was pretty unheralded. He hasn't gone for more than 1,157 yards in a season, which keeps him as a good WR2 in fantasy.

Browns | Cleveland set to acquire Jarvis Landry

Fri, 09 Mar 2018 13:52:53 -0800

The Cleveland Browns agreed to trade two draft picks - one in 2018 and 2019 - to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for WR Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns on Friday, March 9, according to sources. ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports the Browns are working on signing Landry to an extension.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have a ton of cap space and will not give up a first or second-round pick in this trade, so Cleveland fans should be happy. Landry gives the Browns an imposing duo if Josh Gordon can stay on the field and may end up replacing Corey Coleman, whose future with the team is reportedly uncertain. Landry's 2018 fantasy stock will depend somewhat on what Cleveland does at quarterback this offseason, but he should remain a high-volume target and top-30 fantasy wideout.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry being dealt to Cleveland

Fri, 09 Mar 2018 13:40:53 -0800

The Miami Dolphins agreed to trade WR Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for two draft picks - one in 2018 and 2019 - on Friday, March 9, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: It's another vote of confidence in DeVante Parker, who should emerge as the clear top receiving option in Miami if he can finally stay healthy. Parker has teased fantasy owners for years, but this deal gives him one more chance to prove he can be a top-20 wideout. Kenny Stills also stand to benefit as well and should be considered a low-end WR3. The move also give Jakeem Grant an opportunity to shine as well.

Browns | Jarvis Landry of interest to Browns

Thu, 08 Mar 2018 09:09:52 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has drawn trade interest from the Cleveland Browns, according to The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley. A trade is not imminent, however.

Fantasy Tip: Several teams have been linked to Landry already and he can now be traded since he has signed his franchise tender. He's the best slot receiver available this offseason and should retain low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 value in PPR formats.

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry signed his franchise tender Thursday, March 8, according to a source.

Ravens | Baltimore interested in Jarvis Landry

Sun, 04 Mar 2018 19:48:32 -0800

The Baltimore Ravens are one of at least five teams inquiring about a potential trade for Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Landry would provide a needed upgrade to the Baltimore receiving corps, and he would immediately become the go-to option. No matter where Landry ends up, he's a safe bet to deliver WR2 production in PPR formats.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry to sign tag

Sat, 03 Mar 2018 18:43:02 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has informed the team that he will be signing his franchise tag, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have told Landry that he may seek a trade, and once he signs his franchise tag, he can officially be traded. He's averaged 100 catches per year since entering the NFL, so Landry should at least be a WR2 in PPR formats no matter where he ends up playing.

Sat, 03 Mar 2018 11:16:37 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry said he likely will not play on the one-year franchise tender next season and wants a long-term deal.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has been allowed to seek a trade and likely will be moved if a team is willing to sign him to a long-term deal. He has been a solid receiver for the last several years and should be a No. 2 or No. 3 fantasy receiver in most leagues.

Sat, 03 Mar 2018 10:29:33 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is not a trade target for the New Orleans Saints even though the Saints had interest in him earlier in the week, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints are expected to look to add a receiver this offseason but have two terrific starters in Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr. Thomas should be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues next season, while Ginn can be a solid No. 3 fantasy receiver. Landry likely will be traded at some point this offseason and can be at least a No. 3 receiver no matter where he goes.

Titans | Jarvis Landry eyeing Tennessee?

Fri, 02 Mar 2018 18:11:05 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has the Tennessee Titans on his list of preferred destinations as he seeks a trade, but the Titans have not engaged the Dolphins in any trade discussions, according to an NFL source.

Fantasy Tip: With Eric Decker a pending free agent, Landry would represent a massive upgrade in the slot. He has been a reception machine since coming into the league, and Landry should be a solid WR2 in almost any offense, especially in PPR formats.

Bears | Bears a potential suitor for Jarvis Landry

Thu, 01 Mar 2018 20:57:10 -0800

Updating previous reports, the Chicago Bears are among the teams that have emerged as a possible landing spot for Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry.

Fantasy Tip: If the Kirk Cousins drama is the top storyline of the offseason, the pursuit of Landry might be right behind it. After all, the former LSU star holds the NFL record for most receptions (400) over a player's first four seasons in the league and has the ability to single-handily reinvigorate an offense. If he were to end up in Chicago, recording another 100-catch, 1,000-yard season would be very possible, as he'd far and away be the club's No. 1 option in the passing game.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry allowed to seek trade

Thu, 01 Mar 2018 18:10:55 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has received permission from the Dolphins to seek and facilitate a trade, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Landry will be playing with a new team next season, but the Dolphins will need to complete the trade. Landry has been a solid receiver of the last several years and could start for a team if he is traded. He can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver in 2018.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry's agent and the Dolphins will meet Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the NFL combine to discuss his future, according to sources. Several sources believe Landry will be traded this offseason after receiving the franchise tag last week.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is one of the most intriguing names to keep tabs on during free agency. Teams rumored to be interested in trading for Landry include the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans. The shifty receiver is most valuable in PPR leagues where he is a perennial WR1.

Fri, 23 Feb 2018 18:36:53 -0800

The Tennessee Titans could trade for Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry looking for lucrative deal

Wed, 21 Feb 2018 14:19:27 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is believed to be looking for a contract similar to the four-year, $58 million contract Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams recently signed. The Dolphins have offered Landry a contract worth around $13 million per season, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have placed the franchise tag on Landry but may look to trade him at some point. Landry has been a solid receiver over the last several years and can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver next season even if he is traded.

Dolphins | Miami looking to trade Jarvis Landry?

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 20:04:17 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry received the non-exclusive franchise tag Tuesday, Feb. 20 - the first day teams could assign the franchise tag to players - which is being interpreted as a desire by the Dolphins to trade him, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: This seems like a likely scenario considering Miami has had over a year to sign Landry to a long-term deal and not been overly aggressive in doing so. A trade would probably be the best thing for Landry, who is coming off a season in which he led the league with 112 catches and caught a career-high nine touchdowns but did so averaging a meager 8.8 yards per reception. Look for the trade talk to heat up at the NFL Combine at the end of next week.

Dolphins | Miami places franchise tag on Jarvis Landry

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 17:20:06 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry received the non-exclusive franchise tag Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Fantasy Tip: The non-exclusive franchise tag means Landry will have the opportunity to negotiate with other teams and sign an offer sheet, but Miami has the right to match any offer or receive two first-round picks as compensation if it chooses not to match. This move goes against the year-long rhetoric that the Dolphins were willing to let Landry walk and build around DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills. Regardless of what happens moving forward, Landry has proven himself to be a capable fantasy WR2 at the very least.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr formed a connection with Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry at the Pro Bowl, and Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com believes head coach Jon Gruden could push the front office to pursue Landry.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry contract talks going slowly

Thu, 25 Jan 2018 11:31:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry said contract negotiations are moving along, but slowly. Landry said he's not worried about the negotiation process and will let it take care of itself, adding that he would love to stay with the Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is headed for a big payday either way and could be one of the top 5-10 paid wide receivers in the NFL when all is said and done. The reliable pass-catcher will be a solid PPR WR1 candidate wherever he suits up.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry may have price range

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 12:53:31 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has a better chance of being re-signed if his asking price is around $11-12 million per year. If the asking price is more around $14-15 million then he could very well be on a different team next season, in the opinion of The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Fantasy Tip: The latter price range would make Landry one of the top 5-7 paid wide receivers in the NFL. In a relatively shallow wide receiver market Landry will be offered a significant chunk of dough. Either way, He's a PPR WR1 candidate again this year, as mentioned earlier.

Dolphins | Miami mum on Jarvis Landry

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 12:00:17 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry is set to hit the free-agent market this offseason. The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero pointed out that the Dolphins have not once said they would like to re-sign Landry. Last year Miami repeatedly declared they wanted to bring back WR Kenny Stills when he was a free agent.

Fantasy Tip: Not much should be read into this, but Landry is one of the top free-agent wide receivers on the market and the Dolphins' most consistent pass-catcher by a wide margin. No matter where he plays in 2018, Landry has WR1 upside with more value in PPR leagues.

Ravens | BAL could renew Jarvis Landry interest

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 07:03:34 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry could strike renewed interest from the Baltimore Ravens, who inquired about his availability last offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Landry posted career highs with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns but a career-low 8.8 yards per catch as he had just 987 receiving yards. Landry should be a WR2 in next year's drafts regardless of the jersey he dons.

Dolphins | No hometown discount for Jarvis Landry

Wed, 17 Jan 2018 20:51:17 -0800

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry does not plan on taking any sort of hometown discount, according to his agent, Damarius Bilbo. "Absolutely not," said Bilbo when asked about the issue. "This may be Jarvis' first and last time to set himself up and his family up. He needs to strike and strike while the iron is hot." Bilbo also mentioned that he is waiting on the Dolphins to respond to his contract proposal.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is looking to garner big money, and rightfully so after yet another productive season in his fourth year with the Dolphins. Although he finished short of the 1,000-yard plateau for the first time since his rookie campaign, Landry did manage to record career bests with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns. He also continued his iron man streak, having played in all 64 games since being drafted. The 25-year-old will enter next year as a WR2 with a high ceiling.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry seeking Davante Adams money

Wed, 17 Jan 2018 08:26:14 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry is believed to be seeking a contract similar to the one Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams received. Adams signed a four-year, $58 million deal with $32 million guaranteed.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was really underrated this season and was overshadowed by DeVante Parker's potential breakout that never came. Landry posted career highs with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns but a career-low 8.8 yards per catch as he had just 987 receiving yards. Landry should be a WR2 in next year's drafts.

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry said he is encouraged by negotiations regarding a new contract and wants to remain in Miami. He added, however, that he wants what he deserves as far as a contract is concerned.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is already one of the best wide receivers in franchise history. He's posted a career-high eight touchdowns this season to go along with 103 catches. He'll be a low-end PPR1 to high-end PPR2 target wherever he's playing next year.

And that's after losing Ryan Tannehill, the team's starter, in the preseason.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry scores twice Monday night

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 21:05:29 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry recorded eight grabs for 46 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 14 triumph Monday, Dec. 11, against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: This is basically Landry's prototypical performance in a nutshell: a lot of catches, not a ton of yards and maybe at least one score. Miraculously, despite his massive number of targets per week, Landry still hasn't had a 100-yard game yet this year, but his owners certainly don't mind his output this week, as it was his first multi-touchdown effort of the campaign. Landry is unquestionably one of the strongest options in PPR formats regardless.

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 16:40:11 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry managed eight receptions for 70 yards on nine targets in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a catch machine. Yes, he didn't get into the end zone, and his yardage total wasn't anything to jump up and down about, but he's up to 75 receptions through 11 games while snagging at least five catches in each outing. He is a PPR fantasy stud, even if his three-game touchdown streak was snapped.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry racked up six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 11 receptions in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did lose a fumble in this one.

Fantasy Tip: Sure, Kenny Stills outshined him in yardage and production in this one, but Landry has now visited the end zone in three straight games, and six of his past seven outings while posting five catches or more in each contest this season. He is a fantastic fantasy option, particularly in PPR leagues. The Dolphins meet the Patriots in Week 12 on the road.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, whose current contract expires at the end of this season, is believed to be seeking a five-year deal worth at least $65 million. If the Dolphins decide to use the franchise tag to keep him, he will earn $16 million in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Although the Dolphins value the 24-year-old Landry's skills, it is uncertain if they are willing to pay such a hefty price for his services. He has 61 receptions for 472 yards and five touchdowns through nine games this year and should be viewed as a high-end WR2 in PPR fantasy formats.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (chest) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Nov. 15. The Dolphins did not actually practice; this status is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: While Landry does not eat up yardage, he does lead the NFL in catches (61). Assuming he is active, Landry possess low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 PPR value in a great matchup versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry logs fifth TD in last six

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 22:11:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry scored for the fifth time in his last six games in the team's Week 10 loss Monday, Nov. 13, against the Carolina Panthers, as he finished with five catches on 10 targets for 42 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Once again, Landry proved he's as steady as they get, as he's recorded five or more receptions in all of Miami's nine games this season. Furthermore, he's garnered 10 or more targets in all but two of them. The LSU product just continues to deliver and can safely be plugged in on an every-week basis.
