Dolphins | Jarvis Landry limited Tuesday

Tue, 27 Sep 2016 15:04:35 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Tuesday, Sept. 27. Landry's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Fantasy Tip: It's an upgrade from yesterday when Landry didn't practice. The Denver Broncos thrashed the Cincinnati Bengals through the air in Week 3, which bodes well for Landry and the passing game on Thursday night if Landry does take the field. Assuming he's good to go, he's a PPR WR1.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) did not practice Monday, Sept. 26. Landry's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Fantasy Tip: The Denver Broncos thrashed the Cincinnati Bengals through the air in Week 3, which bodes well for Landry and the passing game on Thursday night if Landry can take the field. Assuming he's good to go, he'll be a fringe PPR WR1 for Week 4.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has huge stat line

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 19:10:17 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for a team-high 120 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a high-target fantasy receiver who is loved by his owners in formats which reward points per receptions (PPR). He isn't bad in seasonal standards leagues and DFS play, either.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has outstanding performance

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 13:44:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught 10 passes for 137 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was tied for the team lead in targets with 13 and appears to be the main option in the passing game for Miami. He should be a weekly starting candidate for owners in all leagues.

Dolphins | Seven grabs for Jarvis Landry

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 22:23:15 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for 59 yards in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks and he was targeted a team-high 10 times, twice as many as any other teammate.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is the only receiver in Miami that can be trusted from a fantasy perspective. He is a stud in PPR leagues due to his frequency of catches and high targets.

Dolphins | Jakeem Grant being groomed as returner

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 18:07:11 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant is the team's preferred choice to return kicks and punts in order to reduce the workload of WR Jarvis Landry, but Grant has to improve his ball security.

Dolphins | MIA hopes to lighten Jarvis Landry's load

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 12:16:36 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has been an effective kick and punt returner to this point of his career, but the team is hoping to have him focus solely on offense. Miami would like to see rookie WR Jakeem Grant assume both roles so Landry can focus on offense only.

Fantasy Tip: While such a move would not be pleasant news for Landry owners in leagues in which return yards are factored in, the Dolphins are smartly trying to preserve their most proven playmaker in the passing game. Landry is unlikely to match last year's 111 receptions regardless and will be asked to play more often as an outside receiver in head coach Adam Gase's offense, but he still profiles as a strong WR2 in most leagues, especially PPR.

Dolphins | Big season on tap for Jarvis Landry?

Sat, 11 Jun 2016 17:38:30 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will take his game to "another level" this season, according to head coach Adam Gase, who plans to put Landry in a position to make more big plays.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was already a borderline WR1 in PPR formats, and with Gase determined to bring out the best in him, Landry should be viewed as a WR2 candidate in all leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry working on footwork

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 18:12:35 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has been working out with Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown and New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. in order to develop the footwork and feel to play outside receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Playing on the outside more often could lead to some big plays for Landry, but he should be a solid WR2 even if he remains in the slot and a borderline WR1 in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry could still be returner

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 15:54:34 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will continue to be the team's kick returner if he is the best option for the job, according to special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.

Fantasy Tip: Landry will have a big role in the passing game in 2016, so the team is looking for other options for their kick and punt returner jobs. He recorded 110 receptions and 1,157 yards in 2015 and should be a starting player in all fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry can improve

Tue, 31 May 2016 08:28:38 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry averaged just 10.5 yards per catch last year, which was ranked 105th in the league out of qualifying receivers. Only 10 of his 110 catches (9%) went for 20 yards or more in 2015. New head coach Adam Gase will try to put Landry in a position to make more big plays this year. Landry also had just four receiving touchdowns last year despite being targeted 165 times in the red zone, which was sixth most in the league. Miami plans to keep Landry fresh by reducing his role on special teams as well. He returned 49 kickoffs and punts in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Landry broke out in his second season with 110 catches (165 targets) and 1,157 receiving yards. It'll be tough to top that in 2016, but the Dolphins should improve overall on offense and spread the ball around more under Gase. Consider Landry a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2 with much more appeal in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry probable for Week 17

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 13:34:23 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 1, and he is listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has averaged 10 targets and seven receptions per game this season, and with 104 catches for the year, he continues to show as a second-tier PPR option. FantasyScore players can turn to Landry as a viable option for Week 17, as he projects to be heavily involved in an offense trying to keep pace with New England.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry listed as limited

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 16:31:51 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) appears to have a good chance to play in Week 17 despite the injury. He has been targeted at least 10 times in 10 games this season and could be a solid starting option for owners against the New England Patriots.

Dolphins | Three Miami receivers limited

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 13:03:44 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Rishard Matthews (ribs), Jarvis Landry (knee) and Kenny Stills (thigh) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Stills ($2,000, 4.0%) probably have a better chance of playing than Matthews ($2,800, 5.6%), who hasn't played in over a month. The New England Patriots are never an easy matchup, but they've been mediocre against wide receivers this year. The only one of the three worth playing on FantasyScore, though, is Landry.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry sets NFL record

Mon, 28 Dec 2015 12:18:13 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry's 188 catches through his first two seasons are the most in that span in NFL history.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has quickly turned into a PPR goldmine. He caught 84 passes in his rookie campaign last year, and followed it up with 104 catches this year with one game to play. The touchdowns could be higher -- he's only scored nine in the last two seasons combined -- but he's still a WR1 consideration in PPR leagues next year.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry reaches milestone

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 15:05:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Jarvis Landry caught seven passes for 111 yards Sunday, Dec. 27, in an 18-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He became the first Dolphins receiver in team history to amass 100 catches in a year.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Ryan Tannehill have developed a rapport with each other. He has been a good source of FantasyScore points all season despite the Dolphins' woes.

Fri, 25 Dec 2015 11:30:01 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited Friday, Dec. 25, and is probable for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is a decent WR2 option against the Indianapolis Colts on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry absent Thursday

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 15:16:24 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) put in a limited practice yesterday, so the downgrade is puzzling. He will really need to be tracked heading into the weekend. If he misses practice again this week, that's a pretty big red flag. It would be a shame if Landry were unable to play or limited at all; he has a terrific matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller limited

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 12:21:38 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (quadriceps) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Miller ($5,200, 10.4%) should still be able to take the field this weekend despite their limited statuses. Landry is a much more reliable choice than Miller, but Miller is still pretty solid when he does touch the ball. They both have a great matchup against the Colts and should be considered a WR1 and RB2 on FantasyScore, respectively.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry hauls in eight balls

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 20:29:09 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted eight receptions for 54 yards in the Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers. He was targeted 10 times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was busy, but he wasn't terribly productive, especially for those in non-PPR fantasy formats. He has been a nice option in PPR leagues all season.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry close to record

Sat, 19 Dec 2015 11:49:19 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is just two catches away from setting Miami's single-season receptions record. Former Dolphins WR O.J. McDuffie holds the record at 90 catches, set in 1998.

Fantasy Tip: Barring an early injury this weekend, Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) should easily become the Dolphins' new single-season receptions leader. He has been their most consistent player this year and has turned into a top PPR fantasy wide receiver. Consider him a low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 in PPR scoring formats like FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller probable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 13:44:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (ankle) are both listed as probable for Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers. Landry was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18, while Miller was a full participant.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) could find it tough to return value in daily formats while facing a respectable San Diego secondary on the road. Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has an excellent matchup and should be utilized often after fading with few touches in the second half in Week 14.

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 11:21:55 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was out of practice Thursday, Dec. 17, but he said he expects to play in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has a decent matchup against the San Diego Chargers and is a solid WR2 consideration on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Three Dolphins limited Wednesday

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 14:16:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Rishard Matthews (ribs) and RB Lamar Miller (ankle) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) and Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) should be fine for the game against the San Diego Chargers. The Bolts are one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL, so Miller is a must-start. Landry and Matthews ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) face a tougher matchup with the SD secondary. Matthews is still fighting his way back, so he's a very shakey daily option.

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 22:24:28 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had 11 receptions for 99 yards in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants Monday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Landry had a pretty big game, but Ryan Tannehill missed him on a potential long scoring play, and Landry was in and out of the lineup in the second half, limping badly at times.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry in, out again

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 19:37:58 -0800

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) returned to the Week 14 game against the New York Giants in the third quarter. He made a catch, but was gimpy after the reception and checked back out while grabbing at his knee or hamstring area.

Fantasy Tip: Landry appears willing to give it a go, but he is dealing with more than just a nagging injury and he might not be able to continue.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (undisclosed) left the Week 14 game against the New York Giants in the second quarter due to an undisclosed injury, and he headed off early to the locker room for further evaluation.

Fantasy Tip: The injury to Landry is uncertain, but he would be missed by fantasy owners if he cannot return. He already had seven receptions in the first half against the leaky Giants pass defense.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry good to go

Sat, 12 Dec 2015 14:09:36 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) practiced fully Saturday, Dec. 12, and he's probable for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is a solid WR2 on FantasyScore against the New York Giants.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills limited

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 14:08:09 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Kenny Stills (ankle) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has been nursing a knee injury of late, and it may have impacted his bust performance last week. But he and Stills ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should be able to play unless they suffer setbacks. The matchup against the New York Giants is a great one, too, but perhaps DeVante Parker ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has the best chance to succeed for daily gamers.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry shut down completely

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 22:54:47 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had two receptions for just five yards in the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry had an awful game Sunday, but he already has more receiving yardage than his rookie season, and he needed just 184 yards for his first 1,000-yard game. He also needs just one more score to tie his five touchdowns from 2014. He remains a solid WR2/3 or flex options in FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Probable status for Jarvis Landry

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 13:56:23 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 4, and is probable to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) carried his fantasy owners to glory last week and has the potential to do it again against the Ravens, who allow 42.3 PPR fantasy points to receivers per game this year. That's the fourth-worst mark in the NFL.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills limited

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 15:39:19 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Kenny Stills (ankle) were limited participants in practice Thursday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) should yet again be a slam dunk on FantasyScore against a bad Baltimore Ravens pass defense, especially with Rishard Matthews likely out. Stills ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should see a healthy amount of targets, too, which would make him worth a look as a deep sleeper.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry does some drills

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 16:25:03 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) had a monster game in Week 12 and should be able to carry that momentum into a solid performance against an exploitable Baltimore Ravens secondary. Landry is an even stronger play with Rishard Matthews (ribs) injured.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry busy in Week 12

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 16:38:43 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry finished with 13 catches on 16 targets for 165 yards and a touchdown in a 38-20 loss to New York Jets in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Landry had season highs in catches, targets and yards, and while this may end up being his best game of the year, he should remain a steady option in PPR formats.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews active

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 08:56:37 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Rishard Matthews (illness) are both officially active for Week 12's game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: This may be a somewhat favorable matchup for both receivers, since Darrelle Revis (concussion) is not active for the Jets this week. Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) should be viewed as a low-end WR1, while Matthews ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) merits consideration as a flex player in FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews to play

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 07:00:54 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Rishard Matthews (illness) are both expected to play in Week 12's game against the New York Jets, according to multiple sources. They had both been listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is considered a low-end WR1 in FantasyScore this week, since he will be facing a Jets team that will be without Darrelle Revis. However, he may see fewer snaps than normal since he missed two practices. Matthews ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) caught only one pass for 15 yards in Week 11's game versus the Cowboys but had at least three receptions in each of his previous five contests.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry questionable

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 13:17:33 -0800

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is still expected to play, but he may not be used as much as if he was fully healthy. After all, he missed two practices this week. Nonetheless, if he plays, he's still a good start as he is Miami's most consistent wide receiver and the Jets will be without Darrelle Revis.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) sat out of practice Friday, Nov. 27, to be ready for Week 12 Sunday, Nov. 29, according to head coach Dan Campbell.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) faces a New York Jets team that is likely to be without Darrelle Revis (concussion). Landry is a low-end WR1 option on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry sits out of practice

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 14:35:30 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 25, but head coach Dan Campbell said Landry was just being rested. Landry has 63 catches for 651 yards with five touchdowns this year.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) should be fine to play in Week 12 against the New York Jets unless he suffers some sort of setback. It looks like Darrelle Revis may miss this matchup, and the Jets have been a top-five matchup for receivers in the last five weeks. Don't overlook Landry when looking for a safe wideout play on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry could burn Dallas

Sat, 21 Nov 2015 18:14:29 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry faces the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11, and the Cowboys have allowed the most yards, the third-most receptions and the third-most touchdowns to opposing No. 1 receivers this year.

Fantasy Tip: While he doesn't have the highest ceiling, Landry ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) has been one the steadiest receivers all season. He should remain a reliable addition to lineups at FantasyScore in Week 11.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry busy in Week 9

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 15:30:04 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught 11 passes for 69 yards at the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: The high volume of receptions is awesome to see, but a 6.3 yards-per-reception average isn't so much. PPR owners will be pleased, and standard owners will be irked by what could have been. He's clearly a much better option in setups that reward receptions.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry could struggle Sunday

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 18:53:52 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry faces the Tennessee Titans in Week 6, and the Titans are allowing the fewest receptions and fewest receiving yards per game in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has been targeted at least 10 times in every game, but he struggled last time out against the New York Jets, and he draws another tough matchup this weekend. With his upside likely capped, money could be better spent elsewhere at FantasyScore.

Titans | Kendall Wright could be busy Sunday

Sat, 10 Oct 2015 18:45:53 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright faces the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, and the Bills have struggled against slot receivers, allowing a combined 24 catches for 205 yards and three touchdowns to New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry and New York Giants WR Dwayne Harris the last three games.

Fantasy Tip: Wright ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has been solid in two of Tennessee's three games this year, and for the price, he is worth taking a chance on at FantasyScore in Week 5 against a beatable Buffalo secondary.

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 18:09:01 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had four receptions for 40 yards in the Week 4 game against the New York Jets in London, and he was targeted a game-high 12 times. Landry also led the team in rushing with two carries for 29 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) is a dynamic FantasyScore option, and a stud in PPR leagues. The team tried to get him the ball frequently but the Jets defense was interrupting that all day long. The Dolphins have a bye in Week 5.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry could struggle Sunday

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 19:19:19 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry faces the New York Jets in Week 4, and he could be matched up against CB Darrelle Revis.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets have made it tough on opponents to throw the ball in general, and with Landry ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) likely to be covered by Revis, it is best to avoid him at FantasyScore.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had a team-high eight catches on 12 targets for 53 yards and returned a punt for a touchdown in a 17-10 win over the Washington Redskins Sunday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Although Landry ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) wasn't able to do much with his eight catches, it seems safe to confirm that he is the go-to option in the Miami passing game. He should be a reliable option at FantasyScore most weeks.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry faces a Washington Redskins defense in Week 1 that allowed the most passing touchdowns and most yards per pass attempt in the NFL in 2014.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is expected to be the top target in Miami's passing game, and he should find plenty of openings in Washington's porous secondary. He could be a steal at FantasyScore at his current price.
