Dolphins | Jarvis Landry finds end zone

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 17:38:11 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry racked up six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 11 receptions in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did lose a fumble in this one.

Fantasy Tip: Sure, Kenny Stills outshined him in yardage and production in this one, but Landry has now visited the end zone in three straight games, and six of his past seven outings while posting five catches or more in each contest this season. He is a fantastic fantasy option, particularly in PPR leagues. The Dolphins meet the Patriots in Week 12 on the road.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry seeking long-term deal

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 08:04:27 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, whose current contract expires at the end of this season, is believed to be seeking a five-year deal worth at least $65 million. If the Dolphins decide to use the franchise tag to keep him, he will earn $16 million in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Although the Dolphins value the 24-year-old Landry's skills, it is uncertain if they are willing to pay such a hefty price for his services. He has 61 receptions for 472 yards and five touchdowns through nine games this year and should be viewed as a high-end WR2 in PPR fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Landry should be in uniform in Week 11 as long as he does not suffer a setback over the next few days. Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has limited practice

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 12:30:16 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (chest) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Nov. 15. The Dolphins did not actually practice; this status is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: While Landry does not eat up yardage, he does lead the NFL in catches (61). Assuming he is active, Landry possess low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 PPR value in a great matchup versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry logs fifth TD in last six

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 22:11:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry scored for the fifth time in his last six games in the team's Week 10 loss Monday, Nov. 13, against the Carolina Panthers, as he finished with five catches on 10 targets for 42 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Once again, Landry proved he's as steady as they get, as he's recorded five or more receptions in all of Miami's nine games this season. Furthermore, he's garnered 10 or more targets in all but two of them. The LSU product just continues to deliver and can safely be plugged in on an every-week basis.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry finds end zone

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 05:41:28 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had six grabs for 32 yards and a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders Sunday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Tip: He now has four scores in the last five games, but the team really spread the ball around in Week 9. That'll hurt his WR3 luster moving forward.

Dolphins | Miami to face decimated secondary

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 11:00:15 -0700

Miami Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills will head into Week 9 in a favorable spot as the Oakland Raiders ruled out CBs David Amerson (foot), Gareon Conley (shin) and Demetrius McCray (knee) on Friday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Parker has been out since Week 5 with an ankle injury and Miami is coming off a dismal showing against the Baltimore Ravens last week, but neither party could ask for much more than to face a secondary that will likely be trotting out Sean Smith and T.J. Carrie as its starting corners. This should be a get-right matchup for the Dolphins' passing game, so don't hesitate using Parker, Landry and Stills in Week 9.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry viewed as cornerstone?

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 19:21:27 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is part of the team's long-term plans, according to head coach Adam Gase. "We have a vision for what we want that wide receivers room to look like and we expect him to be a huge part of that," Gase said.

Fantasy Tip: While he won't post huge yardage totals in Miami's struggling offense, Landry is one of busiest receivers in the NFL and is on pace for 114 receptions. He will be a WR2 in PPR formats against the Oakland Raiders in Week 9.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry not being traded

Tue, 31 Oct 2017 12:37:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will not be traded prior to the deadline Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Rumors are not uncommon on the day of any trade deadline. Landry was one of the bigger names involved in those rumors today. He's staying put in Miami and will see Jay Cutler return under center this week. That can only be good after Matt Moore's disastrous performance last week. Landry remains a solid PPR WR2 even in Miami's subpar offense.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry finds no room

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 21:24:23 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had five receptions for 33 yards during the team's 40-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Oct. 26. He was targeted a team-high 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: It was a long night for Landry, who saw his personal three-game touchdown streak snapped while matching or setting seasonal lows in catches and yardage. He and the Dolphins offense will have 10 days to lick their wounds before a Sunday night meeting with the Oakland Raiders, the Fins' second of three consecutive primetime games.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry close to history

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 12:13:25 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry needs 10 more catches to become the NFL's all-time leader in most catches in a player's first four years. He currently has 333 career receptions.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a catch machine and the absence of DeVante Parker the last couple games has only helped his quest to make history. Landry has tallied 15 catches in that span and has scored in each of his last three outings. He's a WR2 PPR play tonight with added value if Parker sits again.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry posts 93 yards, TD

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 18:26:08 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry racked up seven receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown in the Week 7 game against the New York Jets on a game-high 11 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Landry didn't seem to skip a beat with Jay Cutler departing early and being replaced by Matt Moore. Some teams have a backup replace an injured starter and there is a transition period. If Moore gets the nod in Week 8 against the Ravens on Thursday the transition should be seamless.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry rests his knee

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 14:08:20 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: The severity of Landry's knee, presumably soreness since there haven't been any other official reports, is uncertain. Wait to see how he is listed Thursday and Friday before plugging him into your lineup for Week 7. He has two touchdowns over his past two games, and he is an obvious must-start in PPR fantasy formats when healthy. He has six grabs for 48 yards on seven targets in the first meeting with the Jets back in Week 3.

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 13:56:22 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted eight receptions for a team-high 62 yards and one touchdowns in the Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was targeted a game-high 14 times, as he is Jay Cutler definitely jelled nicely together in this one. Landry, who continues to be a stud in PPR formats, will look to carry over the momentum into Week 7 when the Jets pay a visit.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry finished with five catches on 10 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in a 16-10 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: No other player saw more than four targets, and with DeVante Parker leaving with an ankle injury, Landry's heavy workload should continue. Don't expect many big games, but he can be counted on as a WR3 in PPR formats.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught six passes for 40 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:08:38 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, but is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was able to play with the injury last week and should be active again in Week 3. He was targeted often in Week 2 and should be used as a possession receiver again against the New York Jets. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver in point-per-reception leagues and can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in standard leagues.

Dolphins | No practice Wednesday for Jarvis Landry

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 11:40:30 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (undisclosed) sat out of practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Landry appeared on the injury report late last week with a knee issue before piling up 13 catches for 78 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers. There's no way of knowing at the moment whether or not Landry is just getting some more rest, dealing with some soreness in the knee or something completely different. For now, owners should expect him to play in Week 3 against the New York Jets, although owners should not expect another 15 targets from him.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught 13 passes on 15 targets for 78 yards in a 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: While it's only one game, it looks like Landry is going to remain a popular target out of the slot now that Jay Cutler is the quarterback. He should be no worse than a WR3 against the Jets in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Landry should be on the field against the Los Angeles Chargers, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. Landry can be a No. 3 receiver in point-per-reception leagues because he will be a possession receiver in the offense.

Landry has been a good possession receiver for the Dolphins over the last few years and can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver if he plays against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Dolphins | No chance Jarvis Landry is traded

Mon, 28 Aug 2017 09:15:13 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry was informed by head coach Adam Gase that there is no chance the team trades him.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has been solid in PPR leagues, but DeVante Parker looks primed for a breakout. Landry does have the contract year luster, but if Parker stays healthy, there may not be enough love mailed to Landry. He's a WR2 in PPR formats.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry on the block?

Sun, 27 Aug 2017 12:20:28 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry may be available via trade, as the team will "seriously" listen to offers, according to The Ringer's Michael Lombardi.

Fantasy Tip: This likely comes as little surprise to anyone who has closely followed the Dolphins this offseason, as the hype surrounding DeVante Parker has been consistent, while the team reportedly did not even try to extend Landry entering the final year of his contract. If he remains in Miami in 2017, he may be hard-pressed to be much more than a volume-dependent WR3.

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 19:35:58 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught two passes for 49 yards in the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Aug. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ranked in the top 10 in receptions (94) and receiving yards (1,136) last season and will continue to be the top target in the passing game for Miami. He can be considered a No. 2 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry under investigation

Mon, 07 Aug 2017 09:30:50 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is being investigated for possible battery, head coach Adam Gase confirmed Monday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is in a contract year and posts very good numbers in PPR leagues - outside of touchdowns. Ryan Tannehill has struggled with the deep ball throughout his career, and Jay Cutler could help Landry there. The cloud of the investigation puts some risk on his high-end WR2 status.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry to play out rookie deal

Fri, 28 Jul 2017 12:37:44 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry did not receive a contract extension offer from the Dolphins this offseason and is expected to play out the final year of his rookie deal.

Fantasy Tip: This seems to be a clear sign the Dolphins intend on moving forward with DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills in what would figure to be a more play-action heavy, vertical-based passing game. Landry still figures to see his seven targets per game or so in 2017, but owners counting on the level of production he provided in his first three seasons may be disappointed. He figures to be firmly on the WR2/3 borderline.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry deal not pressing

Thu, 27 Jul 2017 12:00:11 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry isn't worried about a contract extension and neither are the Dolphins. Owner Stephen Ross said he doesn't know if a deal will get done before the season starts and even said Landry could be franchise tagged next offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The bottom line is that Landry is the best wide receiver on the Dolphins and one of the most consistent PPR receivers in the league. His scoring upside has a low ceiling, but he has WR1 appeal in said PPR leagues.

Dolphins | MIA still wants to re-up with Jarvis Landry

Mon, 24 Jul 2017 07:54:20 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry still hasn't received a contract extension offer from the team, but the Dolphins are still interested in getting a deal done. Landry is under contract for 2017, and the team could use the franchise tag next season at around $15 million.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has been productive, but his 13 touchdowns in three years stunt his fantasy value. He's a WR2, but if he could find his way into the end zone more often, he has WR1 tools.

Dolphins | No offer for Jarvis Landry

Thu, 13 Jul 2017 19:02:26 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has not been offered a contract extension, but Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald believes that could change in the coming weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is one of the best slot receivers in the game. He hasn't shown enough touchdown potential to be considered a WR1 yet, but he is a quality WR2 with more value in PPR formats.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry won't discuss extension

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 16:55:26 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will not talk about a possible contract extension once the regular season commences. The potential extension is expected to be around $11 million per year. If an extension is not agreed upon by next offseason, then the Dolphins will have the option of placing the franchise tag on Landry.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is indubitably Miami's best, most consistent receiver and Ryan Tannehill's go-to guy. He has more value in PPR formats, but he's still a viable low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 in standard leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry getting it done in the slot

Tue, 20 Jun 2017 19:50:08 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has secured 199 catches out of the slot over the last three seasons, more than any other receiver in the NFL over that time.

Fantasy Tip: Much of Landry's production out of the slot came in his first two seasons, but that doesn't diminish just how consistently he gets open regardless of where he lines up. The fourth-year wideout is a rock-solid WR2 in most leagues and only needs to find the end zone more often in order to become a WR1.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry will not hold out

Tue, 20 Jun 2017 09:03:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will not negotiate with the Dolphins regarding a contract extension after the start of the season, according to his agent, who added the receiver will not hold out training camp if the deal is not reached in the next few weeks.

Fantasy Tip: It's more than a bit surprising Miami hasn't already locked him up, but at least owners should be able to breathe easier regarding his status for the upcoming season. With no fewer than 84 catches in any of his first three seasons, he's a solid WR2 who only needs to find the end zone a bit more often in order to become a WR1.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry reports for minicamp

Tue, 13 Jun 2017 17:45:10 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry reported for the start of minicamp Tuesday, June 13, even though he is looking for a new contract. Landry would like to sign an extension before the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins will have a little over a month to work something out with Landry, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. Landry ranked 10th in the NFL with 1,136 yards in 2016 and tied for seventh with 94 receptions. He is the main target in the passing game for Miami and should be low-end No. 1 of a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry not focused enough?

Thu, 08 Jun 2017 14:55:48 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry must "zero in" on the small details of the game that kept the Dolphins from "clicking" last year, according to The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley. Head coach Adam Gase has been pleased with how consistent Landry has been practicing and doing the little things. "When he's rolling he was today, you just keep trying to find ways to get him the ball," Gase said.

Fantasy Tip: Little things or no little things, Landry has been a solid fantasy player during his first three professional seasons, averaging 96 catches for 1,017 yards and 4.3 touchdowns. Those numbers put him in prime low-end PPR WR1 territory.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry a decent bet to sign new deal

Tue, 06 Jun 2017 09:41:04 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is entering the final season of his four-year rookie contract, and the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero believes there is a 60 percent chance Landry will sign an extension prior to the start of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has frustrated owners by scoring only 13 touchdowns over his first three seasons, but that is about the only thing lacking on his resume - real or fantasy. His yards per catch has increased every year and he has yet to finish with fewer than 84 receptions in a season, which makes him a pretty solid WR2 option more often than not in PPR. Miami cannot afford to let him walk, so expect negotiations to pick up fairly soon.
