Dolphins | Jarvis Landry should be in uniform

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 14:23:57 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has been targeted 26 times over the last three games and but has posted at least 50 yards in only one of those games. He has caught only two touchdowns this season but can still be a decent No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry fully practices

Thu, 08 Dec 2016 14:43:39 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (non-injury) put in a full practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Landry and the Dolphins as a whole have been underachievers in 2016. He hasn't even been too valuable in PPR leagues, which is where he's most valuable. He may see his fair share of targets, but he hasn't topped 100 yards since Week 3 and has only scored once in his last nine games. Plus, the Arizona Cardinals have one of the better pass defenses in the NFL. Landry shouldn't necessarily be benched, but he's no more than a WR3 in PPR formats.

Thu, 08 Dec 2016 09:41:33 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (non-injury) is participating in practice Thursday, Dec. 8, after missing practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Landry likely will receive his usual workload this week against the Arizona Cardinals. He posted a solid 87 yards in the team's Week 13 game and could see a solid amount of targets during the game. He can be considered a No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry not practicing

Wed, 07 Dec 2016 11:16:26 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (non-injury) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Landry probably will be back at practice later in the week and should be in uniform in Week 14. He is coming off a solid performance where he caught 11 passes for 87 yards in Week 13 and should have a solid role against the Arizona Cardinals. He can be considered a No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry posts 11 receptions

Sun, 04 Dec 2016 21:12:05 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry racked up 11 receptions for 87 yards on 14 targets in the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: The game was just the second double-digit reception outing for Landry this season. He has six or more receptions in seven of his 12 games, but just twice in the past six. Despite the uneven results lately, he remains a must-start in all PPR fantasy formats and most standard leagues as well.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry's struggles continue

Sun, 27 Nov 2016 15:05:49 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught four passes for 47 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Miami has found several other capable receivers and a sound running game to cut into Landry's fantasy production. The Dolphins have an unfavorable schedule for receivers going forward, and there is not a lot of reason to believe he will turn it around without DeVante Parker's back injury being serious. At best, Landry is a PPR flex play.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry will be active

Sun, 27 Nov 2016 09:17:59 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is officially active for the team's Week 12 game.

Fantasy Tip: Landry should receive his normal workload this week against the San Francisco 49ers and should see a solid amount of targets. He probably should be considered a low-end No. 2 or a No. 3 receiver in a majority of fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry's status in question

Fri, 25 Nov 2016 17:10:06 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Landry should be able to play even though he is listed as questionable, but owners will need to check the inactive list before deciding on their lineups. He has caught at least five passes in four of his last five games but has been a bit inconsistent in terms of his receiving yards. Landry should probably be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry good to go Week 12

Fri, 25 Nov 2016 11:31:23 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) wore a red non-contact jersey in practice this week, but head coach Adam Gase told reporters Friday, Nov. 25, he did so only as a precaution and expects Landry to play Week 12 versus the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Owners have seen Landry's targets and production slip significantly following the emergence of Jay Ajayi, but he may be needed again this week despite the soft running-game matchup since the Dolphins could be without three offensive line starters. While he is never a great bet to find the end zone, the volume should be there this week and make him a solid low-end WR2 play in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry limited at practice

Thu, 24 Nov 2016 21:50:57 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a strong WR3 most weeks, but he has WR2 upside against the 49ers in Week 12, especially in PPR formats.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry limited

Wed, 23 Nov 2016 13:41:15 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: A player usually plays when he is limited to begin the week's injury reports, unless, of course, he is downgraded later on. Landry should be in starting lineups in what is arguably his best matchup of the season against the San Francisco 49ers, who have been the worst fantasy defenses against receivers in 2016. Landry has disappointed this season, but he's a fringe WR1 in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has TD in victory

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 20:29:28 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry reeled in five receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown on five targets in the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Landry didn't do much in the yardage department, but at least he found the end zone. The emergence of DeVante Parker has taken away targets from Landry. Treat him more as a WR3 heading into Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 11:50:21 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 08:03:54 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 11's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was a full participant in practice Friday, Nov. 18, after being limited during the previous two sessions earlier in the week. He should continue to see a decent amount of targets and should be viewed as a high-end WR3 in standard fantasy formats, with WR2 upside in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry's status in question

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 16:04:00 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 18, and is listed as questionable for Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Landry probably will be able to play, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. He has been a bit inconsistent this season but has been targeted at least six times in each of the last four games. Landry should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry remains limited

Thu, 17 Nov 2016 18:20:23 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry listed as limited

Wed, 16 Nov 2016 16:28:31 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Landry likely will be able to play in Week 11, but owners should check on his status later in the week. He has been targeted at least six times in eight of the nine games this season and will continue to be one of main parts of the team's passing game. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in all leagues.

Dolphins | Six receptions for Jarvis Landry

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 19:30:53 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry converted all six of his targets into receptions in the Week 10 game against the San Diego Chargers and he finished with 53 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was used a little more than last week, but it was still a disappointing performance for Landry and his fantasy owners. DeVante Parker had eight targets and that could be a problem going forward if Parker stays healthy.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry likely to play

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 07:29:53 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Landry returned to practice on a limited basis Friday, Nov. 11, after sustaining a minor shoulder injury Wednesday, Nov. 9. He has a favorable matchup this week versus a San Diego defense that has allowed the second-most receptions and fourth-most receiving yards in the NFL, making him worthy of consideration as a high-end WR2.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry limited in practice

Fri, 11 Nov 2016 15:57:05 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 11, and he is questionable for the Week 10 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has a very favorable matchup against a Chargers defense which ranks 26th in the NFL, allowing 279.3 yards per game with 14 touchdowns and 33 pass plays of 20 or more yards. The team apparently wants to get the ball into his hands more, and that's great news for fantasy owners with this favorable matchup.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry plans to play Week 10

Fri, 11 Nov 2016 10:20:07 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is dealing with shoulder soreness but plans to play through it in Week 10 against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Head coach Adam Gase and offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen each took some of the blame for not getting the ball to Landry enough last week, so look for an early overcorrection in that regard this week. However, with Jay Ajayi and the ground game working so well lately, Landry's once-consistent volume has been virtually nonexistent. It's fair to expect Gase and Christiansen will find a happy medium sooner than later, so keep trotting out Landry as a high-floor WR2.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry pops up on injury report

Thu, 10 Nov 2016 14:02:33 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 10.

Fantasy Tip: The cause and severity of Landry's shoulder issue were not disclosed. He will be one of the key players to keep an eye on heading into the weekend. If he's limited or can't play then DeVante Parker would receive a nice fantasy boost.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry day-to-day

Thu, 10 Nov 2016 10:33:34 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is considered day-to-day because of a shoulder injury. Landry said his shoulder did not feel right after practice Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is probably dealing with a minor injury, but owners should look for an update on his status in the next day or two. He has been a big part of the passing game this season for the Dolphins and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues if he plays.

Dolphins | Adam Gase takes Jarvis Landry's blame

Tue, 08 Nov 2016 08:32:22 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry had just three catches and six targets in Week 9, and head coach Adam Gase took the blame for it. "That's all on me," Gase said. "Ryan (Tannehill) does a good job of making sure we're in a good play, gets him the ball when his number is called. I don't want him forcing the ball. It's my job to make sure that our best player on offense is getting the ball." Landry has just 18 catches the last four games after averaging eight per contest the first four weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is still useful, but his 49-605-1 line is a far cry from where many that took him early in fantasy drafts expected. Landry now has 243 catches in his career and just 10 touchdowns. It may not get much better from a touchdown perspective with his quarterback. He'll have a decent matchup as a high-end WR2 against the San Diego Chargers.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry held to three grabs

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 18:48:03 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry was limited to three receptions for 33 yards on six targets in the Week 9 game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is normally a stud in PPR fantasy formats, but he did very little against a poor pass defense, much to the dismay of his owners. He'll look to rebound in Week 10 against the San Diego Chargers in another favorable matchup.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry fined

Sat, 29 Oct 2016 07:08:26 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry was fined $24,309 by the National Football League for his hit on FS Aaron Williams (head, neck) in Week 7's game against the Buffalo Bills. Landry committed a high crack-back block on Williams, which led to him being hospitalized for neck and back injuries.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have a bye in Week 8 but Landry should be viewed as a solid WR3 in PPR formats going forward, even though he has only reached the end zone once this season.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry hauls in five balls

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 16:42:33 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted five receptions for 78 yards in the Week 7 game against the Buffalo Bills. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a machine for fantasy owners in leagues that reward points per reception (PPR), as he has five or more grabs in six of his seven outings. He has scored just once in seven games, and no visits to the end zone since Week 3, so his value is a bit lesser in standard fantasy formats. Still, he is a decent WR3 in those leagues until he starts to find the end zone.

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 20:28:18 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for a game-high 91 yards in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was targeted nine times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has seven or more receptions in five of his six games this season, as he is a points machine for fantasy owners in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). He'll look to keep it rolling in Week 7 against the Buffalo Bills.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry should play

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 14:33:10 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) is expected to play Thursday, Sept. 29, against the Cincinnati Bengals despite his questionable status, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals really relapsed last week against the Denver Broncos, and suddenly Landry and the Dolphins' passing game doesn't have a bad matchup, at least on paper. The Bengals will want to re-prove themselves in a primetime home game and Landry probably isn't 100 percent for tonight's contest, but he's still a high-end WR2 play in PPR formats.

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 15:14:18 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 28, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Landry should have a good chance to play in Week 4, but owners will need to check the inactive list before deciding on their lineups. He has recorded at least 120 yards in each of the last two games and should be a starting candidate in all leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry limited Tuesday

Tue, 27 Sep 2016 15:04:35 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Tuesday, Sept. 27. Landry's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Fantasy Tip: It's an upgrade from yesterday when Landry didn't practice. The Denver Broncos thrashed the Cincinnati Bengals through the air in Week 3, which bodes well for Landry and the passing game on Thursday night if Landry does take the field. Assuming he's good to go, he's a PPR WR1.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for a team-high 120 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is a high-target fantasy receiver who is loved by his owners in formats which reward points per receptions (PPR). He isn't bad in seasonal standards leagues and DFS play, either.

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 13:44:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught 10 passes for 137 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 22:23:15 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for 59 yards in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks and he was targeted a team-high 10 times, twice as many as any other teammate.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is the only receiver in Miami that can be trusted from a fantasy perspective. He is a stud in PPR leagues due to his frequency of catches and high targets.

Dolphins | MIA hopes to lighten Jarvis Landry's load

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 12:16:36 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has been an effective kick and punt returner to this point of his career, but the team is hoping to have him focus solely on offense. Miami would like to see rookie WR Jakeem Grant assume both roles so Landry can focus on offense only.

Fantasy Tip: While such a move would not be pleasant news for Landry owners in leagues in which return yards are factored in, the Dolphins are smartly trying to preserve their most proven playmaker in the passing game. Landry is unlikely to match last year's 111 receptions regardless and will be asked to play more often as an outside receiver in head coach Adam Gase's offense, but he still profiles as a strong WR2 in most leagues, especially PPR.

Dolphins | Big season on tap for Jarvis Landry?

Sat, 11 Jun 2016 17:38:30 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will take his game to "another level" this season, according to head coach Adam Gase, who plans to put Landry in a position to make more big plays.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was already a borderline WR1 in PPR formats, and with Gase determined to bring out the best in him, Landry should be viewed as a WR2 candidate in all leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry working on footwork

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 18:12:35 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has been working out with Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown and New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. in order to develop the footwork and feel to play outside receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Playing on the outside more often could lead to some big plays for Landry, but he should be a solid WR2 even if he remains in the slot and a borderline WR1 in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry could still be returner

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 15:54:34 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry will continue to be the team's kick returner if he is the best option for the job, according to special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.

Fantasy Tip: Landry will have a big role in the passing game in 2016, so the team is looking for other options for their kick and punt returner jobs. He recorded 110 receptions and 1,157 yards in 2015 and should be a starting player in all fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry can improve

Tue, 31 May 2016 08:28:38 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry averaged just 10.5 yards per catch last year, which was ranked 105th in the league out of qualifying receivers. Only 10 of his 110 catches (9%) went for 20 yards or more in 2015. New head coach Adam Gase will try to put Landry in a position to make more big plays this year. Landry also had just four receiving touchdowns last year despite being targeted 165 times in the red zone, which was sixth most in the league. Miami plans to keep Landry fresh by reducing his role on special teams as well. He returned 49 kickoffs and punts in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Landry broke out in his second season with 110 catches (165 targets) and 1,157 receiving yards. It'll be tough to top that in 2016, but the Dolphins should improve overall on offense and spread the ball around more under Gase. Consider Landry a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2 with much more appeal in PPR leagues.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry probable for Week 17

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 13:34:23 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 1, and he is listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has averaged 10 targets and seven receptions per game this season, and with 104 catches for the year, he continues to show as a second-tier PPR option. FantasyScore players can turn to Landry as a viable option for Week 17, as he projects to be heavily involved in an offense trying to keep pace with New England.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry listed as limited

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 16:31:51 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) appears to have a good chance to play in Week 17 despite the injury. He has been targeted at least 10 times in 10 games this season and could be a solid starting option for owners against the New England Patriots.

Dolphins | Three Miami receivers limited

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 13:03:44 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Rishard Matthews (ribs), Jarvis Landry (knee) and Kenny Stills (thigh) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Stills ($2,000, 4.0%) probably have a better chance of playing than Matthews ($2,800, 5.6%), who hasn't played in over a month. The New England Patriots are never an easy matchup, but they've been mediocre against wide receivers this year. The only one of the three worth playing on FantasyScore, though, is Landry.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry sets NFL record

Mon, 28 Dec 2015 12:18:13 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry's 188 catches through his first two seasons are the most in that span in NFL history.

Fantasy Tip: Landry has quickly turned into a PPR goldmine. He caught 84 passes in his rookie campaign last year, and followed it up with 104 catches this year with one game to play. The touchdowns could be higher -- he's only scored nine in the last two seasons combined -- but he's still a WR1 consideration in PPR leagues next year.

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 15:05:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Jarvis Landry caught seven passes for 111 yards Sunday, Dec. 27, in an 18-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He became the first Dolphins receiver in team history to amass 100 catches in a year.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Ryan Tannehill have developed a rapport with each other. He has been a good source of FantasyScore points all season despite the Dolphins' woes.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry absent Thursday

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 15:16:24 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) put in a limited practice yesterday, so the downgrade is puzzling. He will really need to be tracked heading into the weekend. If he misses practice again this week, that's a pretty big red flag. It would be a shame if Landry were unable to play or limited at all; he has a terrific matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16.

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 12:21:38 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (quadriceps) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Miller ($5,200, 10.4%) should still be able to take the field this weekend despite their limited statuses. Landry is a much more reliable choice than Miller, but Miller is still pretty solid when he does touch the ball. They both have a great matchup against the Colts and should be considered a WR1 and RB2 on FantasyScore, respectively.
