Browns | Josh Gordon impressing fellow WR

Fri, 06 Jul 2018 18:29:39 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry called WR Josh Gordon "unstoppable" after watching him during spring practices. "The size that he has and his ability to be able to get in and out of cuts, I think that's one of the most impressive things I've recognized and noticed about him," Landry said.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon's production on the field has never been a problem, but he has had more than his fair share of trouble off the field. He is far from a save pick, but if he's available as a WR3, the upside is worth the gamble.

Browns | WR impressed with Tyrod Taylor

Thu, 05 Jul 2018 13:25:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry said QB Tyrod Taylor was very impressive during offseason workouts and showed good accuracy and leadership during practice. Landry said he believes Taylor will be the starting quarterback this season.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has been named the starter by Hue Jackson but does have Baker Mayfield behind him on the depth chart. He has played well over the last few seasons and will have a solid receiving corps to work with in 2018. Taylor has a chance to be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in most leagues.

Sat, 14 Apr 2018 10:27:00 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry officially signed a five-year extension Friday, April 13, worth $75.5 million.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry is close to finalizing a five-year, $75.5 million extension Thursday, April 12, which is expected to be done today. The deal will guarantee him $47 million.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is coming off a 112-987-9 season that was pretty unheralded. He hasn't gone for more than 1,157 yards in a season, which keeps him as a good WR2 in fantasy.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry was officially traded to the Cleveland Browns Wednesday, March 14, in exchange for a 2018 fourth-round draft choice and a 2019 seventh-round draft choice.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have added Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola in free agency, so they likely will handle Landry's workload in 2018. Both Amendola and Wilson could be late-round picks in fantasy drafts, but Amendola may have a bit more value.

Browns | Cleveland set to acquire Jarvis Landry

Fri, 09 Mar 2018 13:52:53 -0800

The Cleveland Browns agreed to trade two draft picks - one in 2018 and 2019 - to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for WR Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns on Friday, March 9, according to sources. ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports the Browns are working on signing Landry to an extension.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have a ton of cap space and will not give up a first or second-round pick in this trade, so Cleveland fans should be happy. Landry gives the Browns an imposing duo if Josh Gordon can stay on the field and may end up replacing Corey Coleman, whose future with the team is reportedly uncertain. Landry's 2018 fantasy stock will depend somewhat on what Cleveland does at quarterback this offseason, but he should remain a high-volume target and top-30 fantasy wideout.
