Browns | Isaiah Crowell a full participant

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 13:12:19 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell was upgraded from limited to full from Wednesday to Thursday, so he should be good to go for Week 4 against the Washington Redskins. Washington has been porous against the run this year, giving up over 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns per game to running backs. Crowell is solidly in high-end RB2 territory.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell limited

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 16:15:28 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell has received at least 15 carries in each of the last two games and has rushed for 212 yards and one touchdown during that span. He should continue to receive most of the carries in the running game and can be a No. 2 running back or a flex option for owners.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell runs for 79 yards

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 18:47:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell carried 15 times for 79 yards in the Week 3 overtime loss against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted once but did not have any catches.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell has emerged as a solid RB2 over the past two games. He'll look to keep it going in Week 4 at Washington.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell expected to remain lead back

Sat, 24 Sep 2016 09:47:53 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell "looked more explosive than ever last week", according to ESPN's Pat McManamon, who went on to say he believes Crowell will remain "the main guy" with Duke Johnson serving as the change-of-pace back.

Fantasy Tip: Although Crowell ranks fifth in the league with 195 yards rushing, it's been well-documented how fluky most of those yards have been, as 40 of them came on three draw plays at the end of a blowout loss in Week 1 and 85 more came on a complete defensive bust last week. With Cody Kessler expected to lead the offense for the next two months, the entire offense is most likely doomed. Since he provides very little in the passing game, it is highly unlikely Crowell will be anything more than a middling flex in a few weeks.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell rushes for 133 yards

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 14:52:27 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell rushed for 133 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. He also caught one pass for 15 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell has been receiving a majority of the carries at running back, while Duke Johnson has been used more as a receiver. Crowell should continue to be the main runner for Cleveland and could be a No. 2 running back or a flex option for owners.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell to be busy in Week 2?

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 18:24:04 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell will be "turned loose" in Week 2, according to head coach Hue Jackson. "We just have to hand it to him enough times," Jackson said. "If you have a runner you believe in, you have to give him the ball."

Fantasy Tip: Jackson clearly believes in Crowell, but the Browns have to be competitive in order to stick with the running game, and a matchup with Baltimore in Week 2 isn't ideal. At best, Crowell is a flex candidate.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell expected to be fine

Sat, 13 Aug 2016 05:45:17 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (shoulder) underwent a X-ray on the shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason game Friday, Aug. 12, but head coach Hue Jackson said it does not appear to be a long-term injury.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell could sit out a few days, but it appears that he should be fine moving forward. He probably will be the starting running back but will be part of a committee at the position. Owners should consider Crowell as a No. 3 running back at this point.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell bangs up shoulder

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 20:29:24 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (shoulder) is having an X-ray on his shoulder following a 17-11 preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers Friday, Aug. 12.

Fantasy Tip: If Crowell's injury turns out to be serious, Duke Johnson would see a significant bump in value. If both are on the field, Crowell is a solid RB3 option in most leagues while Johnson has similar value in PPR formats.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell to dominate carries?

Sun, 24 Jul 2016 17:54:37 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell could reach 1,000 rushing yards this year, according to beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, and Cabot believes Crowell is going to receive a "bulk" of the carries this season.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the endorsement of Crowell, backfield mate Duke Johnson is still waiting to steal some carries and soak up a majority of the targets in the passing game. Throw in Cleveland's suspect offense, and Crowell is likely ticketed for RB3 territory.

Browns | Cleveland cops angry about Isaiah Crowell

Tue, 12 Jul 2016 20:05:29 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell apologized for his controversial post on social media, but the Cleveland Police Union is threatening to boycott games by the team if Crowell doesn't do more than apologize for his Instagram post. "He needs to go to Dallas, help the families who lost their loved ones last week, write them a check, look them in the eyes and give a heartfelt apology," the president of Cleveland's Police Patrolman's Association said Tuesday, July 12.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell is in hot water with fans and the cops in Cleveland, and the team wasn't terribly keen on his decision to post and subsequent apology. This will be an ongoing story and it wouldn't be shocking to see Crowell move closer to the unemployment line, especially if he doesn't light it up on the field this summer.
