Jaguars | Blake Bortles on track to play

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:31:59 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles is still not posting great numbers over the first two games of the season and lost his No. 1 receiver to a major injury. Owners in all leagues should avoid Bortles most weeks.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles practices in full

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 14:48:13 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles increased his passing yards from Week 1 to Week 2 but threw two interceptions in the last game. He will be facing a tough Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 3 and should be avoided in all leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles has full practice

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 12:43:48 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles is a risky start even in a good matchup, but he's up against one of the best defenses in the NFL so far this year in the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has already picked off eight passes and recovered two fumbles in two games. Stay away from Bortles.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles picked off twice in loss

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 17:26:23 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 20 of his 34 pass attempts for 223 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 2 against the Titans. He also rushed four times for 29 yards.

Fantasy Tip: It was a disappointing game for the Jaguars after their promising Week 1 road win. Bortles failed to throw for 300 yards against the Titans for the first time in four games, too. He'll look to rebound in Week 3, but he faces a tough matchup against the stout Ravens defense in London.

Jacksonville Jaguars S Calvin Pryor (ankle) did not practice Friday, Sept. 15, and has been ruled out for Week 2. CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle) also did not participate in practice Friday and has been listed as questionable. OL Brandon Linder (knee) remained limited practice, while QB Blake Bortles (wrist), A.J. Bouye (illness), DT Abry Jones (knee) and RB T.J. Yeldon (hamstring) participated fully in practice and were removed from the report.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles full go

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 13:11:17 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: The loss of Allen Robinson is a big hit to Bortles' fantasy value. The inconsistent gunslinger didn't have a lot of value anyway. Bortles is merely a desperation start moving forward.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles practices in full

Wed, 13 Sep 2017 14:05:18 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles appears to be on track to face the Titans. He threw for 662 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in two games against the Titans in 2016, but he is still nothing more than a QB2 in most fantasy leagues after losing Allen Robinson to a season-ending injury in Week 1. See what kind of rapport he develops with Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee and company first before delving into the Bortles business again. For now, expect a heavy dose of rookie Leonard Fournette with limited passing.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles removed from injury report

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 13:45:39 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) was removed from the Week 1 injury report after practicing in full Friday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles is no better than a desperation play for owners without Andrew Luck and/or Jameis Winston this week. He generated a respectable 22.4 fantasy points in Week 10 versus Houston last year, but their Week 15 meeting resulted in an inglorious 10.1-point day.

Jaguars | Friday report for Jags

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 13:40:17 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (abdomen) did not practice Friday, Sept. 8, and has been ruled out for Week 1. FS Tashaun Gipson (ankle) and RB T.J. Yeldon (hamstring) were limited participants and are questionable. DT Michael Z. Bennett (groin), QB Blake Bortles (wrist), DE Dante Fowler Jr. (knee), CB Jalen Ramsey (hip) and OL Josh Wells (ribs) practiced in full and have been removed from the report.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles a full participant

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 13:47:54 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) put in a full practice Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has taken a long tumble down the fantasy football cliff after a breaking out season in 2015. He nearly lost his starting job this offseason and is likely on a short leash heading into 2017. Unless you're desperate and have Andrew Luck and/or Jameis Winston, don't start Bortles.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles takes part in full practice

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 15:15:33 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (wrist) was able to practice in full on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles is on track to start in Week 1 against the Texans. He total 357 passing yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions and a rushing score in two appearances against Houston last season. After receiving consideration as a QB1 in 2016, he appears to be more of a QB2 in most leagues in 2017.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles wins starting job

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 06:54:35 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will be the team's starting quarterback for the season opener against the Houston Texans Sept. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Although Bortles went 12-for-16 for 125 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Aug. 24, he had struggled mightily for most of training camp and the preseason, which is why QB Chad Henne was given serious consideration for the starting job in the first place. Despite the fact that Jacksonville has several decent offensive weapons, Bortles should not be viewed as a great option in any fantasy format.

Jaguars | Jacksonville not ready to name starting QB

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 20:30:22 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Chad Henne and Blake Bortles could play in the final preseason game, according to head coach Doug Marrone. Marrone said he has no timetable for naming a starting quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles went 12-for-16 for 125 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the third preseason game, while Henne went 8-for-14 for 73 yards. The Jaguars may not name a start until right before Week 1, but owners in all leagues should pass on both quarterbacks.

Jaguars | Chad Henne to start Thursday

Wed, 23 Aug 2017 16:13:19 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne will be the starting quarterback for the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Aug. 24. QB Blake Bortles is also expected to receive some playing time with the first-team offense during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Henne may now be the leading candidate for the starting quarterback job since he is starting the most important preseason game. Owners should avoid the Jaguars quarterback situation in their drafts no matter if Henne or Bortles starts.

Jaguars | Jacksonville QBs share snaps

Mon, 21 Aug 2017 16:01:49 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Blake Bortles and Chad Henne received an equal amount of snaps with the first-team offense during practice Monday, Aug. 21. Head coach Doug Marrone is not ready to name a starter for the third preseason game and wants to see them practice Tuesday, Aug. 22, before making a decision.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has struggled during training camp and preseason, which has given Henne a chance to win the starting job. The Jaguars have a good set of receivers on the roster, but owners should stay away from the team's quarterback situation in fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles not a lock to start

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 20:50:12 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said QB Blake Bortles has to earn the starting quarterback job and indicated QB Chad Henne has a chance to take the job. Marrone said he is looking for the best person to lead the offense.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles struggled last season and is having problems during the preseason, so he may have to play well in the third preseason if he wants to start Week 1. Owners can monitor the situation over the next few weeks, but neither Bortles nor Henne is a great option in fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles dominating in garbage time

Wed, 16 Aug 2017 21:57:52 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has the highest passer rating (111) in the NFL over the last two seasons during garbage time (defined as the last five minutes of the fourth quarter and the losing team is down nine or more points), having completed 78-of-118 passes for 964 yards, with 12 touchdowns versus only four interceptions. Additionally, since 2015, 20.7 percent of Bortles' touchdown passes have come in these instances, which is nearly four times the average for the rest of the league.

Fantasy Tip: Experienced fantasy owners are probably already aware of Bortles' elite ability to pad his stats in meaningless situations, but it's even more glaring when you look at the actual numbers. Still, it shouldn't really tempt owners to draft the fourth-year pro as their starter, as Bortles was a huge letdown last season when many expected him to make a giant leap. He'll be entering a make-or-break campaign and hasn't really exhibited any encouraging signs this summer.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles' arm is OK

Tue, 15 Aug 2017 23:51:36 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles indicated his arm was "fine" when speaking to reporters Tuesday, Aug. 15. This came after head coach Doug Marrone said he rested Bortles over the weekend because the quarterback looked like he had a tired arm.

Fantasy Tip: Expectations are down dramatically for Bortles this year, and there's a presumption the team will lean on its ground game, diminishing Bortles' role in the process. He has some weapons, but Bortles currently rates as a shaky fantasy backup.

Jaguars | Uneventful showing from Blake Bortles

Thu, 10 Aug 2017 18:55:43 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles connected on 3-of-5 passes for 16 yards in the team's preseason opener Thursday, August 10, opposite the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: A very uneventful beginning to the preseason for Bortles, though that is expected of just about all starters in the first preseason contest. Owners that are interested in giving the former No. 3 overall draft pick another shot this season after his disastrous showing a year ago will have to keep waiting to see what progress -- if any -- Bortles has made since a terrible 2016 campaign.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles making mistakes

Sat, 29 Jul 2017 20:21:20 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles threw five interceptions during team drills Saturday, July 29, and head coach Doug Marrone said they would take a look at the plays.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has been the fantasy king of garbage time the last couple of seasons, padding his stats late in games with Jacksonville trailing. He has also been a turnover machine and should be viewed as a QB2 this season.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles struggles with turnovers

Wed, 21 Jun 2017 11:35:45 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has committed 63 turnovers over the last three seasons, which is the most in the NFL. His 51 interceptions during that span ranks second among quarterbacks.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has thrown at least 16 interceptions in all three seasons since joining the NFL but has also thrown 58 touchdowns over the last two seasons. Bortles is a risky option for owners because of his turnovers and probably should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles tired of 'below average' play

Wed, 14 Jun 2017 21:42:19 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles said that the team is "sick and tired of being below average" and "not being successful when we feel as though we have the ability to be a good team." He added: "We haven't been. It's time to make a change. It's not going to happen overnight. You have to go do something about it."

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars, especially Bortles, had a lot of promise going into last season, only to end up falling far, far below expectations. The 2014 No. 3 overall draft pick will be entering the most important season of his career, as another disappointing campaign would most likely end his tenure as the starter in Jacksonville. He may become a reliable option again in fantasy down the line, but out of the gate, Bortles won't be a recommended starter for owners in most leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles' mechanics 'improved'

Sat, 13 May 2017 10:37:36 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone believes there is "no doubt" the way QB Blake Bortles is throwing the ball this offseason "has improved".

Fantasy Tip: As always, major improvement in correcting a fundamental is only good if it sticks when a quarterback is facing a live pass rush, so owners need to play the wait-and-see game at least until preseason action gets underway. Bortles spent his offseason working with quarterback guru Adam Dedeaux, and it should be noted he worked hard on his mechanics prior to his breakout 2015 season, so there is reason for hope. Bortles is a high-upside QB2 who should be available late in drafts.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles' option picked up

Mon, 01 May 2017 08:24:39 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles had his fifth-year option exercised Monday, May 1.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles regressed in his third year with 3,905 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and 16 INTs, but he's still just 25 years old. He'll be a low-end QB1 or a high-end QB2 option in fantasy.

Jaguars | No decision on Blake Bortles' option

Sun, 23 Apr 2017 16:13:33 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said the team has not decided if they will pick up QB Blake Bortles' option this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars have a few more weeks to decide on Bortles' option, but he will have to play better if he wants a long-term deal from the Jaguars. He has thrown 69 touchdowns and 51 interceptions in his three years in the NFL and should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues in 2017.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles to see increased reps in camp

Sun, 16 Apr 2017 09:59:12 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will need to "go back and build his foundation from the beginning," according to head coach Doug Marrone. "We told him (in January) we wanted him to make sure his arm was ready to go because there will be an increase in reps, which will help him. I've been with Drew (Brees) in New Orleans and obviously he's a Hall of Fame-type quarterback and that's the way we approached it with him and with the team. You start with the foundation and you look to see how fast they can work through the foundation," Marrone said.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has spent the offseason with quarterback guru Adam Dedeaux in California and is still waiting for the team to decide whether or not it will pick up his $18 million option for 2018 by the league deadline on May 3. Talent is not a question with Bortles, so a bounce-back season could be in order if he doesn't abandon his mechanics and the line plays better. He's a high-upside QB2 option for now.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles' option won't be exercised?

Sun, 26 Mar 2017 10:05:39 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is unlikely to see his fifth-year option for 2018 picked up by May 2 - the deadline to do so - according to the Florida Times Union's Ryan O'Halloran.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars could easily select a quarterback on either one of the first two days of the draft in order to put some pressure on Bortles, but it seems more likely they will go all-in with him one more time and try to shore up some other weaknesses instead. Bortles, who is spending his offseason working on mechanics, is very much facing a pivotal year and should be considered little more than a high-upside QB2 in fantasy drafts this summer.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles confident in offseason work

Mon, 20 Mar 2017 23:09:41 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles said he is "confident" with what he's done this offseason, and that he'll be able to "come help this team be as good as we possibly can be." Bortles is in the process of adjusting his mechanics and throwing motion.

Fantasy Tip: It's no secret that Bortles was arguably one of the most disappointing players in all of fantasy football this past season, but the hope is he can return to his 2015 form by working with quarterback gurus Tom House and Adam Dedeaux. He has a solid supporting cast around him on offense to pull it off, but owners should probably wait for him to show signs of life early on in the campaign before giving him a shot again.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles working on mechanics

Sun, 19 Mar 2017 13:29:48 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles said he has been working with quarterback coaches this offseason and has been able to develop a quicker release. He has been working out with WR Marqise Lee in California and is scheduled to work out with WRs Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns next week in Arizona.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles was expected to have a big season in 2016 but finished with 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He has thrown 51 interceptions since entering the NFL, but he could cut down on the interceptions if he uses a quicker release. He will have plenty of weapons to work with in the passing game, but owners probably should consider him a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Jaguars | Jags counting on Blake Bortles rebound

Sat, 04 Mar 2017 15:47:29 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan is counting on a bounce-back season from QB Blake Bortles in 2017. "That's our hope and it's not just our dream. And then it's, 'How do we make it happen?' … Blake has to organize himself and there is only so much we can do under the collective bargaining agreement. There is a lot of stuff Blake controls. We want to do everything to make Blake successful," Khan said.

Fantasy Tip: Khan doesn't have much choice. Bortles' mechanics regressed in a big way last season, which contributed greatly to his demise. To that end, he has spent most of the offseason in California training with throwing guru Tom House, like he did in the 2015 offseason. It may be too much to ask for a return to his breakthrough 2015 campaign, but Jacksonville has enough weapons to help Bortles improve if he can become more efficient with his throwing motion.

Jaguars | Coach says Blake Bortles will be starter

Wed, 01 Mar 2017 11:52:22 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said he sees QB Blake Bortles as the team's starting quarterback in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles finished the 2016 season with two straight 300-yard games and had two touchdowns in those games. He has struggled with interceptions since entering the league but has thrown at least 23 touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. He will have a solid receiving corps to work with but should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles not a lock to start?

Fri, 24 Feb 2017 10:26:32 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles did not receive a full commitment to remain the starter from Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin on Friday, Feb. 24.

Fantasy Tip: It should be noted Coughlin did not indicate the Jaguars would be moving on from Bortles either. Chad Henne and Brandon Allen are the only other quarterbacks on the roster, so any realistic challenger is going to have to come via free agency or the draft. Bortles is the odds-on favorite to remain the starter in Jacksonville, but he is firmly in QB2 territory in fantasy.

Jaguars | GM confident in Blake Bortles

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 13:16:50 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles still has a vote of confidence from general manager David Caldwell despite two rough seasons to start his young career. "I think we can win a lot of games with Blake; I think we can win a Super Bowl with Blake," Caldwell said. "I think he needs to improve and I think we need to improve around him, too, in order for that to happen. I think the future is bright for him."

Fantasy Tip: Whether or not Caldwell said these things with a straight face is unbeknownst to many, but good for him if he did. Bortles is mechanically flawed and has thrown 34 interceptions in his first two years. Despite that, he has finished comfortably in QB1 territory, largely thanks to garbage time in Jaguars' losses. View him as a low-end QB1 to high-end QB2 next season.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles still the QB

Thu, 12 Jan 2017 07:32:32 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles was endorsed as the team's quarterback Thursday, Jan. 12, by executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles' numbers weren't too far off from 2015 this season except he threw 12 fewer touchdowns. Entering his fourth season, he'll be in a make-or-break situation as a low-end QB1 or a high-end QB2 in fantasy.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles unsure about option

Sat, 07 Jan 2017 10:06:39 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles said he has no idea if the team will pick up the fifth-year option in his contract.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles had a disappoint 2016 season but did play better in the last two games of the season, so the Jaguars may pick up the option. Bortles should be the starting quarterback for the Jaguars next season and should be seen as a No. 2 quarterback in deeper fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles back to basics

Thu, 05 Jan 2017 06:59:53 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will spend this offseason working on his mechanics. He said he'll spend about 10 weeks working on his footwork, which he said was his biggest mechanical flaw. His windup and release will improve along with it, Bortles said. Bortles said part of his issue was that he was trying to be a stand-still passer, which has nothing to do with leaving the pocket, and that's just not something with which he's comfortable.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles was expected to take a leap forward in his third year, but it ended up being a bunny hop backwards. He's just going to be 25 next season, and there is still room to grow to reach his ceiling. He'll be a low-end QB1 possibility or a great QB2 flyer next season.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles salvages season

Wed, 04 Jan 2017 15:21:03 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles managed to pass for 3,905 yards and 23 touchdowns in an otherwise unimpressive season. He also ran for 359 yards and three touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: The rushing numbers really aided Bortles' fantasy outlook. In one of the least impressive seasons in recent memory, Bortles thrived in garbage time throughout the season and played his way into QB1 territory. This is just another reminder that you don't have to be a good real-life quarterback to be a good fantasy quarterback.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles had two separations

Mon, 02 Jan 2017 12:03:22 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulders, wrist) toiled through two shoulder separations and tendinitis in his wrist last season.

Fantasy Tip: The injuries are convenient excuses for Bortles, but he was flat out bad in 2016, injuries or no injuries. His play is extremely erratic and his throwing technique is unorthodox. Even with a solid 2015 season, the 2016 season was enough to put him in backup fantasy quarterback territory.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles ends mediocre season

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 17:35:15 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 25 of his 39 pass attempts for 301 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts. He also rushed three times for 21 yards and lost a pair of fumbles.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles took a big step backwards in 2016. While his 3,905 passing yards wasn't horrible, it was more than 500 off from his breakout season of 2015. He also threw 12 fewer touchdowns (23) than he did lSAt season, while losing a career high three fumbles and throwing 16 interceptions. He will be slotted more as a QB2 heading into 2017 in most fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulder, wrist) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles scores on TD catch

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 14:14:31 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 26 of his 38 pass attempts for 325 yards, one touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 16 game against the Tennessee Titans. He also rushed three times for seven yards and hauled in a 20-yard touchdown reception on a trick play and throw from WR Marqise Lee.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles had been struggling lately, so this game was nice for fantasy owners who actually stuck with him. He has been dealing with a nagging shoulder injury, too, but that didn't appear to be an issue in this one.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles not tied to next coach

Fri, 23 Dec 2016 07:37:39 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will not be tied to the next head coach as general manager David Caldwell said there's no mandate for the new coach about what to do at quarterback. Caldwell said he still believes in Bortles.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has taken a step back this year, but in his defense, the team has been plagued with injuries at the skill positions. Bortles is a matchup play with a decent one against the Tennessee Titans this week.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles has full practice

Thu, 22 Dec 2016 13:27:47 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles has been one of the biggest failures in football this year, both in real life and in the fantasy realm. He's given fantasy owners week after week of disappointment, but he has a chance to redeem himself this week versus a vulnerable Tennessee Titans secondary. Even so, Bortles is in backup fantasy quarterback territory.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles to remain starter

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will remain the starting quarterback even though he struggled in Week 15, according to interim head coach Doug Marrone.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles was held to only 92 yards passing against the Houston Texans and has thrown for 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions this season. Owners in all leagues should avoid Bortles for the final two weeks and probably should consider him a No. 2 quarterback next season.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles has disastrous outing

Sun, 18 Dec 2016 15:54:01 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed just 12 of his 28 pass attempts for 92 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans. He was able to run for a score, but finished with two rushes for minus-5 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Bortles took a giant step backwards after a promising season in 2015. He entered the season as a low-end QB1, but is limping to the finish line as a QB2 in most fantasy formats.
