Jaguars | Marqise Lee will be ready for camp

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 13:31:06 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, according to wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan. Sullivan added that Lee will be managed in order to preserve his health.

Fantasy Tip: It's certainly encouraging that Lee should be ready for training camp after he missed all of organized team activities and minicamp. Lee will have some ground to make up upon his return. He should be viewed as a WR5.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee to be No. 3 WR?

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 11:27:17 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee is slated to start behind WRs Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times Union.

Fantasy Tip: Lee has been dealing with a nagging knee injury this offseason, possibly giving Hurns a head start on staring opposite Robinson. This, of course, could depend on how quickly Lee recovers and how long it will take for him to acclimate to normal playing time and conditions. Lee is more of an attraction from a fantasy standpoint if he's healthy, but both should be taken as a WR5 for now.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee working way back

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 19:45:16 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) suffered a knee injury before organized team activities (OTAs), and he will need to catch up to quickly establish a Week 1 role.

Fantasy Tip: Lee is projected to be the No. 3 wide receiver behind WRs Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns. Unless he can leapfrog one of the two and find his way into a starting role, he is best left to the waiver wire on draft day.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee being held out of minicamp

Tue, 16 Jun 2015 20:02:08 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) is being held out of this week's minicamp because of a left knee injury, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Bradley noted Lee will be a full participant once training camp begins.

Fantasy Tip: Lee was expected to miss minicamp, and while on the surface it isn't significant, he is missing repetitions in a new offense. As it stands, Lee is a late-round target with upside in drafts this season. He owns the physical tools to succeed, but fantasy owners will want to see it happen on the field before trusting him in their starting lineups.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee may miss minicamp

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 09:39:53 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) could be held out of minicamp next week, because he is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered earlier this offseason. He is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Lee does not need to rush back to practice, so sitting out the minicamp will give him several more weeks to rest his injured knee. Lee should have a solid role in the team's passing game this season and could be a late-round option in fantasy drafts.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee to miss two weeks?

Thu, 28 May 2015 15:21:32 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) could miss the next two weeks of action as he continues to recover from an elbow injury he suffered last season.

Fantasy Tip: Lee said he should be OK in a couple of weeks and that he has no worries about the injury. Lee still has some improvements to make on the field after recovering off the field. He should be taken as a WR4 or WR5 for now in 2015 fantasy drafts.

Jaguars | Wednesday injury report

Wed, 17 Dec 2014 10:43:12 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Andre Branch (groin) and LB Khairi Fortt (hamstring) have been ruled out for Week 16. DE Ryan Davis (knee), FS Josh Evans (foot), DT Roy Miller (knee) and WR Tommy Streeter (abdomen) are listed as questionable, while WR Marqise Lee (elbow) and DE Chris Clemons (knee) are listed as probable. Branch, Fortt and Miller did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 17. Lee and Clemons fully participated in practice, while the other players were limited.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee a full participant

Tue, 16 Dec 2014 13:13:36 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (elbow) practiced in full for the second straight day Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Lee ($3,300) is a boom-or-bust fantasy option at FantasyScore. A nice matchup against the Tennessee Titans should make you a bit more comfortable in taking the leap, though, especially if Blake Bortles (foot) plays.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee a full go

Mon, 15 Dec 2014 17:03:15 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (elbow) practiced in full Monday, Dec. 15. The Jaguars didn't actually practice Monday, so Lee's status is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Lee's new injury doesn't appear to be very serious, so we expect him to suit up Thursday night versus the Tennessee Titans. Lee had just four catches (nine targets) for 14 yards in Week 15. He's an intriguing talent, but until we see more, he's too risky of a start at FantasyScore, even with a promising matchup this week.

Jaguars | Allen Hurns to start

Tue, 18 Nov 2014 06:01:38 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns will replace WR Allen Robinson (foot) in the starting lineup instead of WR Marqise Lee.

Fantasy Tip: Hurns ($3,100; 6.2% of your cap) is worth considering on FantasyScore as a low-level basement flex option.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee to be more involved

Thu, 13 Nov 2014 14:28:05 -0800

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee is expected to be more involved in the passing offense moving forward now that WR Allen Robinson (foot) is out for the rest of the year. Lee has just 13 catches for 141 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games in his rookie season. Lee has also been mentioned as a possible replacement for WR Ace Sanders as the punt returner, but the injury to Robinson likely means Sanders will retain that job.

Fantasy Tip: Cecil Shorts and Allen Hurns will benefit the most from Robinson's season-ending injury, but Lee could be a wild card down the stretch if he develops some chemistry with Blake Bortles.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson on top of depth chart

Fri, 24 Oct 2014 11:35:25 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson has risen to the top of the team's depth chart, and he's played 90 percent of the offensive snaps in the last three weeks. Robinson is well ahead of WR Marqise Lee on the wide receiver pecking order.

Fantasy Tip: Although the Jags face a decent defense in the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, Robinson is very cheap at FantasyScore ($3,800; 7.6% of cap). He's intriguing since he's seeing most of Blake Bortles' attention.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee nearing return

Tue, 30 Sep 2014 20:02:05 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) is going through the team's return-to-play protocol and could return to practice this week.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Lee will be back on the field in Week 5, but when he does return, he could be worth a flier at FantasyScore when the matchups are solid now that Blake Bortles is the starting quarterback. Bortles has shown the ability to stretch the field with the deep ball, and Lee has big-play speed.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee aggravated injury

Thu, 18 Sep 2014 11:52:07 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) aggravated his hamstring injury in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17, and he's now been ruled out for Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. His availability beyond Week 3 is unknown. "My main focus is getting it right," said Lee, who is tied for the team lead with eight catches for 73 yards. "The hamstring can linger. If you try to continue to try to come back, come back, come back when you're feeling 85, 90 (percent), you're still going to have issues."

Fantasy Tip: With Cecil Shorts and Allen Hurns also banged up heading into Week 3, the Jaguars don't have many healthy receivers at their disposal. That may make Allen Robinson ($3,700 at FantasyScore) a worthwhile deep sleeper.

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 11:31:16 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 12, and is listed as probable for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Lee injured his hamstring during practice earlier in the week but appears to be fine. Lee could be considered as a flex option in some leagues, but could be passed over at FanstasyScore. Lee costs $4,300 at FantasyScore, but owners could spend a little more money to get a better option.

Jaguars | Cecil Shorts to be limited if he plays

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 11:04:12 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (hamstring) would see only limited repetitions if he does play in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Shorts is listed as doubtful for the game, and he practice only once this week on a limited basis Thursday, Sept. 11. The team will likely turn to their two rookie wideouts again for the second straight week, WRs Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns.

Fantasy Tip: Avoid Shorts in all leagues this weekend, even if he is a surprise active on Sunday morning. Hurns isn't a bad start if you added him off the waiver wire or if you're considering his $5,000 (10.0% of cap) salary at FantasyScore.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee fully participates

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 13:14:01 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 11.

Fantasy Tip: It might be best to wait a week to see how involved Lee will be in the offense, especially considering how heavily involved WR Allen Hurns has been. Lee's FantasyScore price is $4,300.

Wed, 10 Sep 2014 12:52:21 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during practice Wednesday, Sept. 10, and is listed as a limited participant.

Fantasy Tip: The severity of the injury is not known at this point, so there is a chance he misses Week 2. Owners should wait to see if he is able to practice later in the week before deciding on their lineups. Lee costs $4,300 on FantasyScore this week, but owners could consider looking for healthier options.

Jaguars | Two rookies starting at WR

Sun, 07 Sep 2014 09:51:28 -0700

The Jacksonville Jaguars will have rookie WRs Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns starting for them in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. WR Cecil Shorts III (hamstring) did not even make the trip with the team after being ruled out with an injury.

Fantasy Tip: If you're looking for a low-cost, high-upside pick in FantasyScore, Lee should be given some consideration. He'll cost you just $4,200 and this might be the lowest he'll be priced all season. Hurns is not available yet in FantasyScore, but look to see him make his season debut entering Week 2.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee's effort criticized

Sat, 09 Aug 2014 14:39:53 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee's effort in the first preseason game was criticized by head coach Gus Bradley. He played 16 snaps and wasn't targeted on a pass play. "I think that's one of those things we're looking at it's the consistency," Bradley said. "Run your routes (like the football) is coming to you. You can't change speeds. You can't choose when and when not to. I've told you before that I've seen him switch to where he's more focused. I'd like to visit with him about what happened (Friday.) He did play good, but he could have done some things even more precise. It wasn't exactly where we need him to be."

Jaguars | Marqise Lee lining up all over

Wed, 30 Jul 2014 19:09:15 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (and fellow rookie WR Allen Robinson) have seen more reps in training camp with WR Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and WR Ace Sanders (personal) sidelined. Lee has shown off his versatility, lining up all over the field so far in camp, and offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is finding ways to get him the ball. Lee is still not 100 percent from an ankle injury suffered in June, but he is improving. "It's coming along. I'm still getting treatment and rehab, but it's coming back gradually. I've got to keep it strong to go through an entire season," Lee said Wednesday, July 30.

Jacksonville Jaguars WRs Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson have looked comfortable and consistent in the early part of training camp, according to John Oehser.
