Jaguars | Allen Robinson looks 'much better'

Sun, 07 Aug 2016 16:47:58 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson appears to be a different receiver in training camp so far and a much better receiver at that due to improved route-running and a more aggressive mentality in pursuing the ball in the air, according to Jaguars.com senior writer John Oehser.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson finished in a three-way tie for first in the league with 14 touchdown catches in 2015, so he has his work cut out for him to be "much better" in his third season. Robinson may not end up being a better fantasy receiver this year, however, as the Jaguars should have an improved defense and running game, lessening the need for the team to rely so heavily on the passing game. Still, Robinson should still be considered a low-end WR1 at worst in most leagues.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson's status uncertain

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 15:03:45 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson's (hamstring) status for minicamp is uncertain because of his hamstring injury, according to head coach Gus Bradley.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars may decide to hold Robinson out of practice next week since hamstring injuries can be tricky. He will have several weeks to recover before the start of training camp. Robinson was one of the better receivers in the NFL in 2015 and should be a weekly starting option for fantasy owners in 2016.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) did not participate in organized team activities Tuesday, June 7.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson works on side

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 11:19:09 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) worked on a side field during organized team activities Monday, June 6.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars are taking things slow with Robinson, and he may not be a full participant until training camp. He finished sixth in the NFL in 2015 with 1,400 yards and was tied for the league lead with 14 touchdowns. Robinson can be a low-end No. 1 or an elite No. 2 wide receiver in most leagues.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson out with hamstring issue

Mon, 23 May 2016 08:37:26 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) was out of practice Monday, May 23, with a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Tip: A-Rob broke out with an 80-1,400-14 season in 2015. Entering his third year, he's likely to creep into the back end of the WR1 mix. It's a risk, but it's hard to see him falling into the WR2 mix very often in drafts if he has a normal camp.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns said he and WR Allen Robinson are the best receiver tandem in the NFL and are only going to improve.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson enters the 2016 season as a borderline WR1. Hurns could creep into WR2 range, but he is better suited as a strong WR3.
