Packers | Davante Adams expected to be available

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 23:11:44 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) will likely be available to play against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22, barring a setback during pre-game warmups, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Adams played through an ankle injury for much of 2015, and the results weren't pretty. He said earlier in the week he wouldn't be "playing like last year," but he relies on an excellent release to compensate for less-than-ideal speed. And an ankle injury on turf isn't the most stable situation. Still, if he takes the field Adams could be a risky third receiver.

Packers | Davante Adams listed as questionable

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 13:25:15 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 20, and is listed as questionable for the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: Adams probably will be a game-time decision for the game, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation over the next few days. He will be a risky option for owners but can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he is active.

Packers | Davante Adams misses second practice

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 16:26:07 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Jan. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Despite this news, Adams is expected to suit up on Sunday and he'll be a fine WR2 option to lean on against the Falcons, especially if Jordy Nelson (ribs) remains sidelined. Through the first two postseason contests, Adams has been on a tear, hauling in 13 of 22 targets for 201 yards and a touchdown.

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 07:27:48 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is expected to play in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Adams had 12 catches for 74 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. He has a 23-276-4 line the last four games in what has been a breakout year. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Packers | Davante Adams was busy against ATL

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 07:22:17 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams had 12 catches for 74 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Atlanta bent a little bit against the Seattle Seahawks last week with a 10-171-1 line against WRs. Adams has a 23-276-4 line the last four games, but he is battling an ankle issue. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Packers | Davante Adams' injury similar to last year's

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 18:49:38 -0800

Updating a previous story, Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is reportedly dealing with an ankle similar to the one that hobbled him for most of the 2015 season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.

Fantasy Tip: Adams isn't even going to be allowed to practice until at least Saturday, so there's certainly reason for concern. With Jordy Nelson unlikely to play and Adams trending in that direction, Aaron Rodgers may not have enough weapons to go toe-to-toe with the Atlanta Falcons' high-scoring offense. Randall Cobb and Jared Cook are shaping up as solid, high-floor DFS plays this weekend.

Packers | Davante Adams to miss some practices

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 12:01:21 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is not expected to practice until Saturday, Jan. 21, at the earliest, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation during the week to see if Adams is in any danger of missing the NFC Championship game. He has posted 201 yards and one touchdown in the first two weeks of the postseason and should have a solid role if he is able to play. Owners in fantasy leagues should consider him a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver.

Packers | Davante Adams starting

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 12:27:37 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams will be in the starting lineup for the Divisional round playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys with Jordy Nelson (ribs) ruled out.

Fantasy Tip: Adams is coming off an outstanding Wild Card performance where he caught eight passes for 125 yards and one touchdown. He may see more targets than usual with Nelson out and should be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues because of his touchdown potential.
