Philadelphia Phillies minor league SS J.P. Crawford (thumb), who had been playing in the Arizona Fall League, has been shut down due to a slight tear in his thumb ligament. The injury has been immobilized and will not require surgery. He is expected to be completely healthy by the time spring training camp opens.
Fantasy Tip: Crawford is considered to be one of the top shortstop prospects in all of baseball. Owners in dynasty leagues should keep tabs on him, although it is unlikely that he will reach the majors next season.
