Philadelphia Phillies SS J.P. Crawford (forearm) began fielding work and did light throwing Friday, May 11, and the team will determine the next step of his rehab schedule this weekend. Manager Gabe Kapler said it is uncertain if Crawford will need a rehab assignment before coming off the disabled list.

Updating a previous report, the Philadelphia Phillies placed SS J.P. Crawford (forearm) on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, April 29, due to a strained right forearm. In a corresponding move, INF Jesmuel Valentin was called up from Class AAA Lehigh Valley.

Philadelphia Phillies SS J.P. Crawford (forearm) could require a stint on the disabled list because of a strained right forearm, according to manager Gabe Kapler. The team will know more about his status after he undergoes an MRI exam Sunday, April 29. INF Jesmuel Valentin or INF/OF Roman Quinn could be promoted from Class AAA Lehigh Valley if Crawford is placed on the DL.
