Cubs | Kris Bryant good to go vs. Cards

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 13:41:20 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (flu) is playing third base and batting third against St. Louis Cardinals SP John Lackey Friday, June 26. Bryant left the game due to the flu Thursday, June 25.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) is worthy of nightly consideration at FantasyScore. However, he is mired in a bit of a funk of late with just three hits over his past 27 plate appearances, and two of those hits went for home runs during his two-homer game Monday, June 22. It isn't out of the question to fade Bryant Friday.

Wed, 17 Jun 2015 21:43:25 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant went 2-for-6 with a grand slam Wednesday, June 17, against the Cleveland Indians.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,600; or 11.2% of cap) continues to be a tremendous play in FantasyScore, as he has now hit safely in 13 straight games. His hitting .358 (19-for-53) with 10 runs scored, a homer and six RBIs during the impressive run.

Cubs | Kris Bryant extends hitting streak

Wed, 17 Jun 2015 18:30:54 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant extended his hitting streak to 13 games Wednesday, June 17, against the Cleveland Indians. Bryant is the only player this season with multiple hit streaks of at least 12 games.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has lived up to the hype so far, and he's worthy of regular FantasyScore consideration, regardless of the matchup. Bryant's low batting average against lefties will surely rebound to a norm before long.

Cubs | Kris Bryant extends hit streak to 12

Tue, 16 Jun 2015 20:59:27 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant went 1-for-4 against the Cleveland Indians Tuesday, June 16, to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant's ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) batting average and plate discipline were the question marks entering the season, but it has been his power that has been underwhelming. For the season, Bryant has a .294/.400/.478 slash line with 37 runs, seven home runs, 35 RBI and five stolen bases. Expect the power to pick up, but don't be surprised if the batting average begins to dip a little, too.

Cubs | Kris Bryant impressing on bases

Sun, 14 Jun 2015 08:35:16 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant is impressing manager Joe Maddon with his work on the base paths. Bryant dove head-first into second base for a double, and also scored on a fielder's choice to the shortstop in the fourth inning Saturday, June 13, against the Cincinnati Reds.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) continues to find new ways to impress his manager and fantasy owners alike. With an odd reverse split, Bryant is a must-start against right-handed pitchers, while he continues to struggle against southpaws.

Cubs | Kris Bryant bangs out three hits

Sun, 07 Jun 2015 19:00:48 -0700

Chicago Cubs OF Kris Bryant finished a home run short of the cycle and scored twice in a 6-3 win over the Washington Nationals Sunday, June 7.

Fantasy Tip: It was Bryant's ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) first multi-hit game since May 29, and while he has plenty of upside, the rookie can be a boom-or-bust option at times at FantasyScore.

Cubs | Kris Bryant playing LF

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 13:17:24 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant is starting in left field and hitting second in the batting order against Miami Marlins SP Brad Hand Tuesday, June 2. SS Jonathan Herrera receives the start at third base and is hitting ninth. OF Chris Coghlan is out of the lineup against a lefty.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) is a very strong FantasyScore option against the soft-tossing lefty Hand, even though the rookie is hitting .227 (5-for-22) with one home run against southpaws this year. Herrera ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) should be ignored.

Cubs | Kris Bryant continues to hit

Tue, 26 May 2015 13:45:21 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games, going 17-for-50 (.340) in that span. He's also hit safely in eight straight games at home with four home runs.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is starting to live up to the rookie hype after a slow start to his major league career. However, he may struggle to return a profit today against Washington Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann, who is holding righty hitters to a slash line of .224/.259/.252 in 2015.

Cubs | Kris Bryant continues power surge

Thu, 21 May 2015 18:34:50 -0700

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant hit a home run in the first inning against the San Diego Padres Thursday, May 21, extending his hitting streak to 10 games and giving him five home runs in his last 39 at-bats.

Fantasy Tip: It took a while for Bryant ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) to find his power stroke, but he showing his immense potential in a big way lately. The rookie could run hot and cold throughout the year, but he is a great option at FantasyScore while he is rolling.
