Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (foot) returned to the lineup for Triple-A Iowa Tuesday, Aug. 19. Bryant did not start the previous two games with a left foot contusion.
Fantasy Tip: Don't expect Bryant to debut in 2014. However, owners in keeper/dynasty formats should consider stashing Bryant for next season, especially if you're out of contention this year.

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (undisclosed) left his game with Triple-A Iowa after only two innings and was seen leaving with a trainer.
Fantasy Tip: Despite stellar numbers in the minors, a September promotion to the big leagues was already unlikely based on the team's plans. Any type of serious injury would likely doom what little chance he had to reach the majors this year.

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant hit a home run in his first game since being promoted to Triple-A Iowa.
Fantasy Tip: After crushing the ball for Double-A Tennessee, Bryant picked up right where he left off with his new team. Theo Epstein recently said that he doesn't expect Bryant to reach the majors this season, but that could change if he keeps launching home runs. In the meantime, he at least needs to be owned in all keeper leagues and NL-only formats.

Chicago Cubs executive Theo Epstein said he doesn't see 3B Kris Bryant playing in the majors this season.
Fantasy Tip: Just because Epstein says Bryant won't come up this year doesn't mean the Cubs won't change their minds. However, this will temper some of the excitement and predictions that Bryant will be up with the team soon, perhaps this summer. He should still be owned in all keeper leagues and stashed in NL-only leagues.

The Chicago Cubs moved 3B Kris Bryant from Double-A Tennessee to Triple-A Iowa Wednesday, June 18. Bryant was leading the Southern League in batting average (.355), home runs (22), RBIs (58), on-base percentage (.458) and slugging percentage (.702). Bryant was selected second overall in last June's draft. He won the Home Run Derby at the Southern League All-Star Game earlier this week.
Fantasy Tip: Bryant is easily the Cubs' most alluring prospect in the minors, and you can see why. He has sped through the minor league system and has dominated at every level. If he continues to rake at Class AAA, it might not be long before he shows his face at Wrigley. He should already be owned in all NL-only and keeper formats, and it's coming time to stash him in the rest of leagues.

Fantasy Tip: The club wants Bryant to get as much seasoning as possible, but he could come up and contribute right now.
