Charles Chandler, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox said he is unsure if the team will re-sign free-agent WR Muhsin Muhammad. "As free agency moves forward, it stays fluid," Fox said. "Moose has been great for this organization. I've always appreciated him as a player, as a guy in that locker room. It would be hard for me to predict how that's going to turn out."

Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, reports Carolina Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad's time with the Panthers may be running short. He is not under contract next year. Despite Muhammad, 36, being reasonably productive this year, the Panthers are painfully aware they must upgrade their receiver position to take pressure off of WR Steve Smith. If Muhammad is willing to play for a low salary and accept a backup role, the Panthers may keep him around as a third or fourth receiver.
