Vikings | Latavius Murray shows up in ground game

Thu, 23 Nov 2017 13:26:36 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray notched 20 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown Thursday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Give Murray some butter 'cause he's on a roll, now scoring four times in his last three outings. His main value is in standard leagues as he has only caught seven passes on the year. Still, he needs to be in the RB2 conversation going forward.

Vikings | Latavius Murray punches two in

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 15:41:24 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed 15 times for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Murray started out slow, but he has emerged as the top back in the Twin Cities. The former Raiders back has 15 or more carries in each of his past five games while finding the end zone four times in the past four outings. He'll look to keep it going on Thanksgiving against the Lions in Week 12.

Vikings | Latavius Murray posts 68 yards, TD

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 17:50:43 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed 17 times for 68 yards with a touchdown in the Week 10 game against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Murray has posted 12 or more rushes in each of his past five games, but he really has just one big game during the span. The good news is that he averaged 4.0 yards per tote in this one, his second-best average of the season, and he scored a touchdown for the second time in three games. He remains more of a low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option in most formats.

Vikings | Latavius Murray held in check

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 09:54:04 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed for 39 yards on 19 carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Murray received a season-high 19 carries against the Browns but was not able to build off his terrific Week 7 performance. He will continue to share work with Jerick McKinnon but probably will only be a flex option in most standard leagues.

Vikings | Latavius Murray play well in Week 7

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 13:53:29 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Murray had by far his best performance of the season against the Ravens and has received at least 12 carries in each of the last three games. He can be a solid No. 2 running back next week because of the matchup.

Vikings | Tough sledding for Latavius Murray

Fri, 20 Oct 2017 20:48:08 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray is averaging 2.6 yards on 25 carries in the two games since RB Dalvin Cook (knee) was injured.

Fantasy Tip: Murray has been splitting time with Jerick McKinnon in Cook's absence, but McKinnon has been the more explosive and versatile back. Murray is a low-upside flex play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7, and McKinnon has RB2 upside in PPR formats.

Vikings | Latavius Murray goes nowhere fast

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 16:20:12 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed 15 times for just 28 yards in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers and he added one catch for nine yards.

Fantasy Tip: Murray just doesn't look comfortable in the Minnesota offense, as Jerick McKinnon is much more familiar with the system and way more productive since Dalvin Cook went down. Murray admitted two weeks ago he isn't 100 percent after offseason surgery and he certainly looks like it.

Vikings | Latavius Murray has quiet night

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 23:30:14 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray registered 12 rushes for 31 yards in the team's Week 5 game Monday, Oct. 9, against the Chicago Bears. He added two catches for 12 yards.

Fantasy Tip: In Minnesota's first game without Dalvin Cook, Murray actually began the game as the starter in the backfield, but it was virtually all downhill from there, as Jerick McKinnon took over shortly after and garnered significantly more touches than the former Oakland Raider. McKinnon seems to have taken over as the Vikings' lead back, which makes Murray droppable in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Vikings | Latavius Murray not 100 percent

Mon, 02 Oct 2017 08:25:32 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) said his ankle isn't 100 percent after offseason surgery, but he's ready for a big workload if needed in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Jerick McKinnon is also dealing with an ankle issue, and their health will be a big factor in how the load is split. Murray becomes a flex option if Dalvin Cook (knee) indeed tore his ACL.

Vikings | Latavius Murray totals nine touches

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 15:04:50 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed seven times for 21 yards in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions while adding two receptions for eight yards.

Fantasy Tip: Murray saw a season-high nine touches, as he and Jerick McKinnon are expected to shoulder the load now that Dalvin Cook suffered a knee injury and could be lost for the season. Murray is worth scooping up in all fantasy leagues, as he is fresh and should get plenty of looks going forward. The Vikings meet the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 5.

Vikings | Latavius Murray not concerned

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 21:10:59 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray said he is not worried about his lack of touches in Week 1. "It doesn't determine anything at this point," Murray said. "It's still very early. I got a lot of work to do and as a team we have a lot of work to do still."

Fantasy Tip: Murray should see more than a couple of touches per game going forward, but Dalvin Cook looks locked in as the lead back. Murray is merely a handcuff to Cook at this point.

Vikings | Goal-line work up for grabs in Minnesota

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 18:52:27 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray said goal-line carries have not been assigned to a certain running back yet. "We still need to go out there and play some games," Murray said.

Fantasy Tip: If Murray can carve out a role as the goal-line back, it could salvage his fantasy value to a degree. Either way, Dalvin Cook is the back to own in Minnesota and a RB2 candidate. Murray is no more than a RB4 and a handcuff to Cook.

Vikings | Quiet debut for Latavius Murray

Sun, 27 Aug 2017 19:43:21 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) made his preseason debut Sunday, Aug. 27, finishing with two carries for six yards and two catches for 10 yards against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: While he is finally back from injury, Murray has already been surpassed by Dalvin Cook in the backfield pecking order. Cook is worth a look as a RB2 while Murray is no more than a low-end RB4 at this point.

Vikings | Latavius Murray to make preseason debut

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 13:03:18 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is expected to play in Week 3 of the preseason this weekend, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect Murray's workload to be too big in his return from offseason ankle surgery. Dalvin Cook is the running back to own in Minnesota, but Murray could very well vulture some scores and short-yardage carries. Murray returning does not decrease Cook's fantasy value, who should still be selected as an RB2.

Vikings | Latavius Murray could play next Sunday

Sun, 20 Aug 2017 06:34:15 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is expected to play in the preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Aug. 27, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. He had missed both of the team's first two exhibition contests.

Fantasy Tip: Murray will split time in the backfield with Dalvin Cook this season and is expected to be used primarily as a ball carrier. He should be viewed as a RB3 or flex option in most fantasy formats.

Thu, 10 Aug 2017 14:58:26 -0700

Minnesota Vikings DE Brian Robison, LT Riley Reiff, RB Latavius Murray, WR Laquon Treadwell, RB Jerick McKinnon, LB Kentrell Brothers and CB Jabari Price are not expected to play in the team's preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, Aug. 10.

Vikings | Latavius Murray not traveling

Tue, 08 Aug 2017 20:48:33 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Latavius Murray (ankle) was limited during practice Tuesday, Aug. 8, and said he is not traveling with the team for their preseason game Thursday, Aug. 10. He said he is not sure if he will play in the second preseason game but knows he will be ready for the start of the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Murray just started practicing this week, so it is not known when he will be able to play in a game. He is expected to share playing time with Dalvin Cook this season and probably will be used mostly as a ball carrier. Murray could be used as a No. 3 running back or flex option this season.

Vikings | Latavius Murray returns from PUP list

Mon, 07 Aug 2017 12:57:50 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Look for the Vikings to take it easy with their new running back leading up to the regular season. Dalvin Cook has impressed so far and should stay ahead of Murray, but Murray is ideal for short-yardage and goal-line situations. That being said, Cook has low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 potential, with Murray slotting as more of a flex play.

Vikings | Latavius Murray hopes to practice soon

Thu, 03 Aug 2017 16:41:18 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) said he has two encouraging individual workouts this week and believes he is close to taking part in practice. Murray has been on the Physically Unable to Perform list since the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Murray is expected to be a part of a committee at the position with Dalvin Cook and Jerick McKinnon also on the roster. Murray probably will be used mostly as a ball carrier and will only see a few targets in the passing game. Owners will need to keep an eye on his role during the preseason to see how he will be used. He could be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy running back depending on his role.

Vikings | No timetable for Latavius Murray

Mon, 31 Jul 2017 11:42:53 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) does not have a specific timetable for when he will return from the Physically Unable to Perform list, although he did say it would be before the regular season starts.

Fantasy Tip: The longer Murray is on the PUP list the more of a concern his availability is. Cook gains value every day Murray isn't activated. Cook is expected to start anyway, but expect Murray to vulture some touchdowns and to be used more as he becomes healthier.

Vikings | Latavius Murray not doing much

Mon, 24 Jul 2017 08:46:51 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) isn't doing much at camp Monday, July 24.

Fantasy Tip: Murray's offseason ankle surgery has slowed him and allowed rookie Dalvin Cook to potentially usurp him atop the depth chart. Both with be in the RB3 category in fantasy drafts.

Vikings | Latavius Murray shows up early

Sun, 23 Jul 2017 19:26:38 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) was one of the veterans to show up with the rookies for an early start to training camp Sunday, July 23. "It'll be helpful for me just being here," Murray said. "I'm happy to be able to dive back into the playbook, and again, I want to learn it as much as I can, inside and out, so when I'm back on the field I'm able to play fast."

Fantasy Tip: Murray has been limited this offseason by an ankle injury, which could allow rookie Dalvin Cook to close the gap. Both backs should be viewed as RB3 candidates for now, but Cook has the higher ceiling.

Vikings | Latavius Murray falling back

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 08:51:59 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is losing his grip on the starting job due to the addition of RB Dalvin Cook. Murray has missed the entire offseason recovering from ankle surgery, and Cook's blend of speed and versatility coincides with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's stylistic history at the position.

Fantasy Tip: Murray was an RB2 when he signed in the offseason, but Cook's arrival has to demote Murray into the RB3 range in fantasy. Cook has upside in the system as an RB3, but Murray has the advantage in experience. This will be a battle to keep a close eye on moving forward.

Vikings | Dalvin Cook has leg up in RB competition

Thu, 29 Jun 2017 19:34:15 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has an early leg up in the running back competition, according to RB Latavius Murray. "Dalvin's already been through the organized team activities, he's already been through the offseason," Murray said. "So, he has that up on me."

Fantasy Tip: Murray also said he expects to the starter in Week 1, but it remains to be seen how the carries will be split between Murray and Cook. Both backs are RB3 candidates, and Cook figures to have more upside in PPR formats and long-term value.

Vikings | Latavius Murray expects to start

Tue, 27 Jun 2017 11:45:14 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) said he expects to be the starting running back Week 1 even though the team added RB Dalvin Cook in the draft.

Fantasy Tip: Murray missed the entire offseason because of ankle surgery but has a chance to be ready for training camp. Murray may be the starting running back but will have to share work with Cook and Jerick McKinnon. Owners probably should consider Murray as a No. 3 running back this season.

Vikings | Latavius Murray expected at camp

Thu, 15 Jun 2017 12:31:40 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

Fantasy Tip: Murray's injury, recovery and the presence of Dalvin Cook make him an iffy fantasy player for 2016. While Murray will be involved in a committee with Cook, assuming he's healthy, he can't be viewed as more than a weekly flex option.

Vikings | Latavius Murray to begin running soon

Thu, 08 Jun 2017 12:40:52 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is out of his walking boot and is expected to begin running unassisted in about a week. Murray said he feels great and that already dealing with the same surgery earlier in his career has helped his rehabilitation. The newly acquired running back anticipates being ready for training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Murray was acquired this offseason to kind of take over for Adrian Peterson, but Dalvin Cook is favored by many pundits to be Minnesota's main back. It will be a committee, assuming Murray is healthy, but Cook does have more upside. Drafting the rookie as an RB3 isn't ludicrous, while Murray is more of a flex selection.

Vikings | Latavius Murray might be ready for camp

Thu, 01 Jun 2017 13:55:23 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray's (ankle) goal is to be recovered well enough from his ankle surgery that he is able to participate in training camp. Murray said he's going to trust the process, not rush the process, and that he is on track to return for camp at some point.

Fantasy Tip: Murray's stock really took a hit this offseason with the injury, surgery and Dalvin Cook being drafted. If Murray isn't able to get back to full health by the time the regular season starts, he could be taken over by Cook sooner rather than later. Either way, Murray will be splitting time with Cook and can't be trusted as more than an RB3 or flex.

Vikings | Minnesota expecting committee backfield

Wed, 10 May 2017 19:39:20 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RBs Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook are expected to engage in a "heated competition" and, eventually, forge an established committee to replace Adrian Peterson, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Andrew Krammer.

Fantasy Tip: The competition can't begin in earnest until training camp, when Murray is expected to be ready after undergoing ankle surgery in March. Based on talent alone, Cook should be considered the frontrunner, but Minnesota was more than happy having Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata share touches last season. Cook will most likely lead the backfield in touches, but Murray will probably be the change-of-pace and preferred goal-line option, making both flex options at best.

Vikings | Minnesota noncommittal about starting RB

Fri, 05 May 2017 12:01:00 -0700

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer did not shed any light on the identity of his team's starting running back - expected to be a two-man battle between Latavius Murray and rookie second-rounder Dalvin Cook - when asked about it Friday, May 5.

Fantasy Tip: Nor should he. Zimmer is an old-school coach in the first place and naming a starter - or even a leader in the clubhouse - now serves no purpose when he wants his players to earn the job in camp. Murray will almost certainly begin camp atop the depth chart, but Cook figures to reduce his role to more of a short-yardage hammer and goal-line back early in the season. Cook has low-end RB2 upside as a rookie, while Murray may struggle for flex value.

Vikings | Latavius Murray without a timetable

Tue, 25 Apr 2017 10:09:50 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) said there's no timetable for his return, but he's hoping to be ready for training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Murray doesn't have a lot to fend off for touches in Minnesota, and if he can stay healthy, he's a solid RB2 option in fantasy.

Vikings | Latavius Murray undergoes surgery

Wed, 22 Mar 2017 15:54:26 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray (ankle) underwent ankle surgery Wednesday, March 22, but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. The Vikings knew Murray would need surgery before they sign him.

Fantasy Tip: Murray likely will miss all of the offseason workouts but should be on the field for the first training camp practice. Murray should receive most of the touches in the running game next season and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues.

Vikings | Short stay for Latavius Murray?

Sat, 18 Mar 2017 19:49:27 -0700

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray's deal is for one year with two option years, and the minimum he could make is $3.4 million. The full $5.15 million that he's owed next season becomes guaranteed on the third day of the 2018 league year.

Fantasy Tip: It ends up being a low-risk deal for Minnesota, and Murray should have plenty of incentive to deliver a strong season. He should have a high floor as a volume-based RB2.

Vikings | Latavius Murray terms

Thu, 16 Mar 2017 08:23:31 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray received a three-year, $15 million deal, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Murray fits the offense better than Adrian Peterson, and he's a two-way threat that should help Sam Bradford in check-down situations. Murray will probably have to share some of those third-down reps with Jerick McKinnon, and Murray has been a bit brittle. However, he has upside in the offense with a heavy workload and has RB2 bang for the buck.

Vikings | Latavius Murray boards Vikings' ship

Thu, 16 Mar 2017 00:08:24 -0700

Free-agent RB Latavius Murray (Raiders) agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, March 16. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ESPN's Field Yates reports the contract can be voided after one season.

Fantasy Tip: The signing all but closes the door on a potential return for Adrian Peterson and is perhaps the best landing spot for Murray, who spent most of 2016 sharing touches in the Oakland Raiders' backfield. Murray should have a clear path to 200-plus carries and could flirt with low-end fantasy RB2 value in Minnesota, while Jerick McKinnon should retain potential low-end flex value as the likely passing-down back.

Vikings | Latavius Murray visiting Minnesota

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 11:42:48 -0700

Free-agent RB Latavius Murray (Raiders) is visiting the Minnesota Vikings Tuesday, March 14.

Fantasy Tip: Minnesota missed out on signing Eddie Lacy, and Murray may be next on the list of coveted replacements for Adrian Peterson. The Vikings' offensive line needs some work, so this would be a downgrade for Murray from his prospects with Oakland. In short, he has RB2 upside but is a mildly risky third fantasy rusher if he winds up in the Twin Cities.

Jaguars | Jacksonville to meet with Latavius Murray

Sat, 11 Mar 2017 14:47:35 -0800

Free-agent RB Latavius Murray (Raiders) is scheduled to meet with the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday, March 13, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars have Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon on the roster, but Murray could be the lead back if he signs with Jacksonville. Murray probably will have to join a running back committee no matter where he signs but could be a No. 3 fantasy back if he leads his team in carries.

Seahawks | Seattle to visit with Latavius Murray

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 13:38:04 -0800

Free-agent RB Latavius Murray (Raiders) is scheduled to meet with the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: The Seahawks have Thomas Rawls on the roster but could also use another option in their running game. Murray may look at other options but probably would not start if he decides to sign with the Seahawks. Owners probably could consider Murray a No. 3 running back if he signs with Seattle. C.J. Prosise has the most fantasy upside among the Seahawks backs because of his role as a third-down back and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy option.

NFL | Latavius Murray not expected to return

Wed, 08 Mar 2017 19:47:18 -0800

Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray is unlikely to return to the team, with "all signs indicating" he won't be back, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur.

Fantasy Tip: The Raiders haven't made much of an effort to bring him back, mostly because they believe he left too many yards on the field and didn't show enough elusiveness. For now, it is good news for DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard, although Oakland is fully expected to bring in a power back this offseason. That player - whether it be a free-agent like Adrian Peterson or a rookie like Oklahoma's Samaje Perine - will be walking into a situation in which he should immediate assume RB2 value.

Vikings | Vikings interested in Latavius Murray

Tue, 28 Feb 2017 22:18:57 -0800

The Minnesota Vikings have exhibited "a good deal of interest" in Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray, according to "several sources."

Fantasy Tip: Although the former sixth-round draft pick averaged just four yards per carry for the second straight campaign, Murray did score a career-high 12 touchdowns and would be a fine option to replace Adrian Peterson. His value might receive an uptick, even if just slightly, if he were to end up in Minnesota, where he would unquestionably also become one of Sam Bradford's most dependable targets in the passing game as well.

Redskins | WAS unlikely to pursue Latavius Murray

Mon, 27 Feb 2017 16:58:37 -0800

Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray is not expected to be an option for the Washington Redskins during free agency, in the opinion of CSNMidAtlantic.com's Rich Tandler.

Fantasy Tip: Murray is not expected to return to the Raiders but should receive interest from a few teams during free agency. He may not be able to find a starting job but should have a solid role with a team in 2017. He probably should be considered a No. 3 fantasy running back at this point. Rob Kelley likely will be the starter for the Redskins and can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 back for fantasy owners.

Raiders | Latavius Murray expected to leave Oakland

Sun, 26 Feb 2017 11:43:43 -0800

Impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray is unlikely to return to the Oakland Raiders when he officially hits the open market next month.

Fantasy Tip: An earlier report suggested "the door will remain open" for Murray to return, but the fact the Raiders are willing to let the market set his price means the odds of that are slim. Murray is not a difference-making talent, but he's a capable power back with 74 catches over the last two seasons despite losing a ton of reps to DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard in 2016. Teams like the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers could be interested if his financial demands aren't too high.

Raiders | Latavius Murray could still return to OAK

Sun, 26 Feb 2017 08:48:39 -0800

Although the Oakland Raiders are expected to let RB Latavius Murray reach free agency, the door will remain open for a possible return to the organization after he tests the market, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The 27-year-old Murray had 788 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 14 regular-season games last year and should be viewed as a RB2 in most fantasy formats. If he does not return to Oakland, expect the Raiders to use a committee of DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard and Taiwan Jones in the backfield in 2017.

Raiders | Competition for Latavius Murray?

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 18:07:25 -0800

Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray will have interest from multiple teams, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan, and Caplan believes the market for Murray could make it difficult for Oakland to re-sign him.

Fantasy Tip: Murray has been the workhorse for Oakland the last two years, and if he returns, he should be a high-floor, volume-based RB2.

Raiders | Latavius Murray may not return

Mon, 13 Feb 2017 13:35:20 -0800

Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray is not expected to be re-signed, according to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Fantasy Tip: The Raiders have a deep backfield as is and they can afford to let Murray go even with his recent success. DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard and Taiwan Jones will make up the Raiders' backfield for now. Washington has the most promise, but this should end up as a committee.

Raiders | Latavius Murray saw touches drop in 2016

Mon, 30 Jan 2017 15:33:00 -0800

Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray recorded less carries and receptions in 2016 than he did in 2015. Murray had 195 carries and 33 receptions this season while recording 266 carries and 41 receptions in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Murray will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so there is a chance he will be playing for a new team in 2017. He finished in the top five in touchdowns with 12 and may be able to find a starting job with a team. He can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues depending on his offensive role.

Raiders | Latavius Murray open to extension

Sun, 08 Jan 2017 22:43:49 -0800

The agent for Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray has had talks with the team about a contract extension. Murray has said he'd like to stay with the team that drafted him.

Fantasy Tip: Murray should stay a decent RB2 candidate if he stays in Oakland. He had a quiet day in the NFL Wild Card game against the Houston Texans, but one game doesn't ruin a player's contract plans.
