Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the competition for the kick returner job is wide open at this point. WR Golden Tate, WR Bryan Walters, WR Justin Veltung, WR Arceto Clark, CB Will Blackmon and CB Jeremy Lane all received reps as returners during practice Saturday, July 27.

Seahawks | Battle to be heated for fifth WR job

Seattle Seahawks WRs Doug Baldwin, Percy Harvin, Sidney Rice and Golden Tate are expected to be the top four wide receivers. Unless an injury or two occurs, that leaves WRs Phil Bates, Arceto Clark, Chris Harper, Greg Herd Jermaine Kearse, Brett Swain, Justin Veltung, Bryan Walters and Stephen Williams to battle it out for the fifth, and perhaps sixth, receiver job(s). The team kept five receivers last season, but could elect to keep six. Walters reportedly had a strong offseason working in the slot.

NFL | Arceto Clark participates in Pro Day

Mississippi State WR Arceto Clark measured 5-foot-9 3/4, 181 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.69 seconds and 4.59 seconds, the short-shuttle in 4.22 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.66 seconds. He measured a 33-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-2 broad jump and completed 16 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
