The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived RB Akeem Shavers, WR D.J. Monroe and DT Richard Clebert. The team also terminated the contracts of OG Roger Allen and DE George Selvie.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed undrafted free-agent WR Jerry Johnson (UCLA), CB Rashaan Melvin (Northern Illinois), WR D.J. Monroe (Texas), LB Willie Moseley (Buffalo), OT Brice Schwab (Arizona State), RB Akeem Shavers (Purdue), OG Adam Smith (Western Kentucky), CB Branden Smith (Georgia), OT Nick Speller (Massachusetts) and OT Jason Weaver (Southern Mississippi). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Purdue RB Akeem Shavers measured a 39 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-10 broad jump and completed 19 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press at his Pro Day Friday, March 1. Shavers reportedly ran the 40-yard dash under 4.4 seconds twice but those times were unofficial.
