Saints | Cameron Meredith says he'll be 100 percent

Wed, 11 Apr 2018 20:47:56 -0700

Updating a previous report, New Orleans WR Cameron Meredith's (knee) offer sheet was not matched by the Chicago Bears "reportedly" due to concerns over the health of his knee. However, Meredith said that he sees himself "being 100 percent for at least the season," with training camp being his goal. The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts also expressed interest in the wide receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Meredith tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee last August, which resulted in him missing the entire 2017 season, so it's understandable if some teams were scared off over those concerns. At the same time, based on what he did a couple of seasons ago, Meredith will have a chance to break out into a useful fantasy option again if he can return strong. He'll have WR3 potential.

Saints | Cameron Meredith officially joins Saints

Wed, 11 Apr 2018 12:22:42 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith's two-year, $10 million offer sheet from the New Orleans Saints will not be matched by the Bears, according to a source. Meredith is officially a Saint.

Fantasy Tip: Meredith is a welcome addition to one of the most pass happy offenses in the NFL. He'll compete for targets primarily alongside Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn with Willie Snead also garnering attention from the slot. Meredith probably would have seen more looks in Chicago, but his overall fantasy value is more promising in New Orleans. View him as a low-end WR3 to high-end WR4.

Bears | Chicago not matching Cameron Meredith

Wed, 11 Apr 2018 12:17:58 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith's two-year, $10 million offer sheet from the New Orleans Saints will not be matched by the Bears, according to a source. Meredith is officially a Saint.

Fantasy Tip: Meredith's departure puts pressure on oft-injured Kevin White to stay healthy and makes Allen Robinson even more of a go-to target for the Bears. White is merely a late-round flier given his injury history, but Robinson makes for a low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 as Mitchell Trubisky's No. 1 target.

Saints | Cameron Meredith to sign offer sheet from NO

Saints | Cameron Meredith visited Saints

Mon, 26 Mar 2018 13:48:15 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith visited the New Orleans Saints last week, according to a source. Meredith has already met with the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. The Bears have the option to match any offer sheet given to Meredith.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard to envision the Bears not matching whatever offer sheet that is thrown Meredith's way, especially given Kevin White's injury history. When at full health, Meredith has WR3 upside.

Ravens | Cameron Meredith to visit Ravens

Wed, 21 Mar 2018 13:44:26 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith will meet with the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, March 22.

Fantasy Tip: Baltimore has already added Michael Crabtree and John Brown to an underwhelming wide receiver corps. Meredith would make a nice complement opposite Crabtree with Brown in the slot, but Baltimore is where wide receivers' fantasy value goes to die.

Colts | Cameron Meredith pays visit to Colts

Tue, 20 Mar 2018 14:41:07 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith visited the Indianapolis Colts Tuesday, March 20, according to a source. If they so desire the Bears would be able to match any offer the Colts give Meredith.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts are making some decent moves to help improve Andrew Luck's offense. They've already signed Ryan Grant and Eric Ebron and have even added some offensive line help. It will be more difficult to acquire Meredith since he is a restricted free agent, but it's an intriguing marriage that is bound to be underrated if it comes to fruition.

Bears | Cameron Meredith tendered

Mon, 12 Mar 2018 10:17:37 -0700

Chicago Bears restricted free-agent WR Cameron Meredith (knee) received a tender at the original-round level Monday, March 12. As a result, he will receive a one-year contract worth $1.907 million in 2018 if he remains in Chicago. Since Meredith was undrafted, the Bears will receive no compensation if Meredith signs an offer sheet elsewhere and they decline to match.

Fantasy Tip: It's a fairly big risk for a team that needs receiving help as much as Chicago, but the Bears are likely counting on Meredith's ACL injury last summer making him unappealing to the other 31 teams. If Meredith is able to rehab well and make it back by training camp, the Bears will probably give him every opportunity to earn back his lead receiver status.
