New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith (undisclosed) returned to practice Wednesday, Aug. 15, but did not participate in team drills.

Fantasy Tip: It's unclear what has been bothering Meredith, but it doesn't seem to be serious since he was on the practice field today. Monitor his status, but he has WR3 upside in one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.

Saints | Cameron Meredith in line to start

Tue, 24 Jul 2018 09:34:43 -0700

New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith is the best bet to be the team's No. 2 receiver, according to Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune.

Fantasy Tip: Katzenstein makes the point Meredith has to be able to bounce back from the knee injury that forced him to miss the entire 2017 campaign, but he is the highest-paid receiver on the team and gives the Saints versatility with his ability to play inside or outside they don't otherwise have. Ticketed to play the "big slot" that made Marques Colston a fantasy star years ago, Meredith is a great high-upside WR4 pick in the later rounds.

Saints | Cameron Meredith hopeful for training camp

Tue, 17 Jul 2018 00:32:00 -0700

New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith (knee) said that while he is still recovering from his knee injury and has been limited in team activities thus far, he is hopeful to be given the "all clear" for training camp. "On a scale of '1 to 10,' it's almost a 10… I haven't had a setback along the recovery process," Meredith said of his injury. "I'm gaining strength day by day, month by month. I'm excited to see how soon I can get back, but the main objective for me is to do as much as I can with the trainers to get ready for the season. My goal is to try and get back to training camp. As long as there aren't any setbacks or anything like that, it shouldn't be a problem."

Fantasy Tip: Even if he's not fully cleared for the start of training camp, it's looking more like Meredith can at least be ready by Week 1. Only two years ago -- his last healthy season -- Meredith led the Bears with 66 catches for 888 yards and four touchdowns. Being reunited with receivers coach Curtis Johnson in New Orleans should also help the 25-year-old potentially make a major impact in this high-powered offense, and thus, he's a great sleeper for 2018.

Saints | Cameron Meredith ahead of schedule

Thu, 24 May 2018 10:32:32 -0700

New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith (knee) is way ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to head coach Sean Payton. Payton added that the Saints have a "clear vision" on how they want to use their new receiver.

Fantasy Tip: If Meredith stays on this pace then there's a better than good chance he'll be fully available for training camp. The Saints won't want to push him too hard, though. New Orleans' crowded offense stunts Meredith's potential. As such, he's a WR4 or flex option.

New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith (knee) is recovering well and might be able to participate in minicamp, according to head coach Sean Payton.

Saints | Cameron Meredith says he'll be 100 percent

Wed, 11 Apr 2018 20:47:56 -0700

Updating a previous report, New Orleans WR Cameron Meredith's (knee) offer sheet was not matched by the Chicago Bears "reportedly" due to concerns over the health of his knee. However, Meredith said that he sees himself "being 100 percent for at least the season," with training camp being his goal. The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts also expressed interest in the wide receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Meredith tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee last August, which resulted in him missing the entire 2017 season, so it's understandable if some teams were scared off over those concerns. At the same time, based on what he did a couple of seasons ago, Meredith will have a chance to break out into a useful fantasy option again if he can return strong. He'll have WR3 potential.
