Marlins | Adam Conley nabs seventh victory

Wed, 27 Jul 2016 15:57:32 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley upped his record to 7-5 after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in his start Wednesday, July 27. The southpaw logged 6 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing eight hits and three walks. He also struck out six.

Fantasy Tip: Conley has been enjoying a very solid sophomore season in the big leagues, as today's outing lowered his ERA to a desirable 3.38. Additionally, he's striking out nearly a batter per inning on the year. Conley has the potential to contribute in all fantasy formats, especially if he keeps up his recent work. The 26-year-old has allowed two runs or fewer in five straight starts.

Marlins | Adam Conley punches out nine

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 16:33:52 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley allowed three runs, two earned, on three hits while walking three and striking out a career-high nine over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday, July 17.

Fantasy Tip: Conley has allowed two earned runs or less in five of his last six starts, and while he is prone to the occasional dud, his strong strikeout numbers make him worth owning in most formats.

Marlins | Adam Conley earns win

Mon, 04 Jul 2016 05:08:18 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley picked up the victory Sunday, July 3, as he pitched six innings to beat the Atlanta Braves, 5-2.

Fantasy Tip: Conley improved to 5-5 overall, but he seems to have his best stuff come against the Braves, who have one of the worst offenses in all of baseball. Conley is still a bit too shaky to trust in regular leagues, but if he's facing the Braves or a similar team with a weak offense then by all means spend some DFS money on him.

Braves | Ender Inciarte out again

Sun, 03 Jul 2016 14:30:06 -0700

Atlanta Braves OF Ender Inciarte (groin) is out for the second straight game Sunday, July 3, against the Miami Marlins. OF Chase d'Arnaud is in the lineup and hitting second against Marlins SP Adam Conley.

Fantasy Tip: Keep Inciarte off your active rosters until he is deemed safe to return, and even then you may want to wait a game or two. As for d'Arnaud, he is hitting .271-1-9 but has six stolen bases. D'Arnaud's fantasy value for now largely revolves around speed, but he is part-timer at best.

Marlins | Rough inning dooms Adam Conley

Tue, 28 Jun 2016 20:41:55 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley struck out nine Detroit Tigers over the first 4 1/3 innings of his start on Tuesday, June 28, but proceeded to surrender two walks, a double and two homers before getting pulled.

Fantasy Tip: Five of the seven runs the Tigers scored in the fifth inning were charged to Conley, who struck out six of the first seven batters he faced. The 26-year-old has been highly inconsistent this season, although he should have a chance to right this wrong on Sunday when the Marlins face the Atlanta Braves' league-worst offense.

Marlins | Adam Conley has terrific outing

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 14:17:28 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley pitched eight scoreless innings against the Atlanta Braves Wednesday, June 22, to pick up his fourth win of the season. He allowed four hits during the outing, while striking out four batters.

Fantasy Tip: Conley has pitched pretty well this season and has allowed two runs or fewer in eight of his 14 starts this season. He is scheduled to face the Detroit Tigers in his next start, which makes him a risky option for owners.

Marlins | Adam Conley allows one hit Friday

Fri, 17 Jun 2016 19:49:58 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley allowed one run on one hit over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Colorado Rockies Friday, June 17, with five walks and five strikeouts. He threw 62 of his 109 pitches for strikes.

Fantasy Tip: Conley was one out away from recording a quality start and would have been credited with the win if he had made it through six full innings, since the Marlins took the lead for good in the bottom half of the inning. However, control problems prevented him from pitching further into the game. Conley's next scheduled start will come against the Atlanta Braves Wednesday, June 22.

Marlins | Adam Conley impressive Wednesday

Wed, 01 Jun 2016 19:32:21 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley allowed two hits over six scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday, June 1, with three walks and nine strikeouts.

Fantasy Tip: Conley is worth using as a starting pitching option in daily fantasy contests only if he has a favorable matchup. His next scheduled start, which will come against the Minnesota Twins Tuesday, June 7, definitely falls into that category.

Marlins | Adam Conley having command issues

Fri, 27 May 2016 21:29:06 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley allowed two runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out three in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Atlanta Braves Friday, May 27. He also threw a wild pitch and hit three batters.

Fantasy Tip: Conley walked seven batters in his previous starts, and he appears to be hitting a wall after a solid start. Outside of NL-only leagues, you can hunt for a better option.
