The New England Patriots have signed undrafted free-agent DT DeWayne Cherrington (Mississippi State), SS Kanorris Davis (Troy), OL Elvis Fisher (Missouri), TE Brandon Ford (Clemson), DT Cory Grissom (South Florida), CB Brandon Jones (Rutgers), OL Josh Kline (Kent State) OL Chris McDonald (Michigan State), WR T.J. Moe (Missouri), CB Stephon Morris (Penn State), LB Ian Sluss (Portland State), C Matt Stankiewitch (Penn State), TE Zach Sudfield (Nevada), DT Joe Vellano (Maryland) and LS Mike Zupancic (Eastern Michigan). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Louisiana Tech WR Quinton Patton posted a time of 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash Sunday, Feb. 23, at the NFL Scouting Combine. Elon WR Aaron Mellette and Cincinnati WR Kenbrell Thompkins posted a 4.54-second time, while Kansas State WR Chris Harper checked in at 4.55 seconds. Virginia Tech WR Marcus Davis managed 4.56 seconds, while Clemson's DeAndre Hopkins was clocked at 4.57 seconds. South Carolina WR Ace Sanders had a time of 4.58 seconds, while Syracuse WR Alec Lemon and Jacksonville State WR Alan Bonner finished at 4.59 seconds. Southern Methodist WR Darius Johnson checked in at 4.60 seconds, while Eastern Washington WR Brandon Kaufman had a time of 4.67 seconds. Duke WR Conner Vernon was good for 4.68 seconds, and Missouri WR T.J. Moe rounded out the group with a time of 4.74 seconds.
