Tue, 22 Jul 2014 15:52:04 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders (undisclosed) is facing a four-game suspension. He will miss training camp due to personal issues.

Fantasy Tip: It's a tough break for Sanders, assuming the suspension holds up, but it does add value to WRs Cecil Shorts, Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson for the season's first four games. Even with the added value, none of the Jaguars' receivers are reliable fantasy options.

Jaguars | Cecil Shorts likely game-time decision

Thu, 17 Oct 2013 14:07:09 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) will likely be a game-time decision against the San Diego Chargers in Week 7. Also, WR Ace Sanders (concussion) hasn't practiced all week and is unlikely to play. The swelling in Shorts' shoulder has subsided, but he's still dealing with some pain. "I ran around today in walk-through and felt pretty good," Shorts said. "It's going to hurt. So we'll see how it goes. No decision yet but I'm excited about my chances." Shorts was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 17, and head coach Gus Bradley said he won't practice Friday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Shorts will be tested Sunday morning to see if he'll go, and it'll likely come down to pain tolerance. With Sanders also out, Mike Brown is likely to see his playing time increase dramatically, but not enough to consider starting him. Look for other options and prepare to be without Shorts.

Jaguars | Chad Henne not guaranteed start

Mon, 16 Sep 2013 13:06:21 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne isn't guaranteed to start in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, even though QB Blaine Gabbert (hand) is expected to miss another game. Henne went 25-for-38 for 241 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Oakland Raiders. Henne was sacked five times. WR Cecil Shorts was targeted 14 times and had eight grabs for 93 yards and WR Ace Sanders had five catches for 64 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Henne will probably start, but he definitely should not be started against arguably the best defense in the league. Shorts and any other Jaguars receiver is an extremely weak play this weekend.
