Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said he intends to stick with QB Matt McGloin as his starting quarterback for now in remarks made at his press conference on Friday, Nov. 29. However, Allen also wants to get another look at QB Terrelle Pryor before this season ends. It is all part of Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie gathering as much information as possible on their quarterback situation before they head into the offseason.

Oakland Raiders OL Jared Veldheer made his season debut Thursday, Nov. 28, after being out 11 games with a torn triceps, and the Raiders said they would go by "feel" to see how long the left tackle would play on Thursday. It turned out Veldheer played every snap and helped the offensive line keep QB Matt McGloin clean. He wasn't sacked by the Dallas Cowboys once. "I felt great," he said. "I wanted to help us, and I was able to maintain my stamina and I felt good conditioning-wise. My arm held up great. That's all in the past now."

Oakland Raiders QB Matt McGloin will start in the team's Week 12 game, according to head coach Dennis Allen.
Fantasy Tip: Even coming off a start that saw him put up decent numbers, McGloin should only be considered as a bye week replacement in deeper leagues at this point.

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he hasn't decided if QB Matt McGloin will receive his second straight start over QB Terrelle Pryor (knee). McGloin was 18-for-32 for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 11 win over the Houston Texans. Allen will gauge Pryor's health this week before making a decision.

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen indicated Monday, Nov. 18, that the team plans to stick with QB Matt McGloin at quarterback, as he has the "hot hand." McGloin was given the game ball in Week 11 against the Houston Texans following his first NFL start and win.
Fantasy Tip: For fantasy purposes, McGloin is only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues which require two starting signal callers.

The Oakland Raiders coaching staff loved QB Matt McGloin, and the team's Week 11 game will be big in determining if McGloin has a shot at supplanting QB Terrelle Pryor in the future.
Fantasy Tip: Whether McGloin starts in Week 12 will have a lot to do with whether Pryor is healthy enough to return. McGloin looked good in his first career start but was aided with some short fields to work with early in the game. It'd be a rash decision to go away from Pryor at this juncture, in our opinion.
