Bills | Nick O'Leary not guaranteed of spot

Tue, 25 Aug 2015 21:28:26 -0700

Buffalo Bills TE Nick O'Leary is not guaranteed of a spot on the 53-man roster, head coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday, Aug. 25. "I don't know," Ryan said. "I can tell you that is some great competition. I like the way (TE Chris Gragg) has really picked his game up, and (TE MarQueis Gray), obviously (TE Matthew Mulligan) brings you the element of being that tremendous blocker."

Fantasy Tip: The Bills sunk a sixth-round pick into O'Leary, so it would be a bit of an upset if he didn't make the squad. However, he has done nothing to differentiate himself from the others and stand out.

Bills | MarQueis Gray excited about offense

Mon, 13 Jul 2015 07:34:41 -0700

Buffalo Bills TE MarQueis Gray is excited about playing in offensive coordinator Greg Roman's scheme with TE Charles Clay. "This offense right here is tight end heaven," Gray said. "We move around so much that we really play receiver, slot, we play everything but running back. You could line up at any of those spots - that's the best part about this offense." Gray also said this could be his breakout year. "Especially with this offense and the opportunities coming my way - I'm going to take full advantage of it," Gray said. "I want to be that guy where defensive coordinators say 'Watch out for 48.' I want to put fear in the defense."

Fantasy Tip: Gray is a fringe option at the position but could be worth a waiver pickup during the season. Clay has some PPR upside and is in the midrange TE1 discussion.

Vikings | Rhett Ellison, MarQueis Gray to pick up slack

Mon, 22 Sep 2014 13:04:04 -0700

Minnesota Vikings TEs Rhett Ellison and MarQueis Gray are likely to pick up the slack at the tight end position with TE Kyle Rudolph (hernia) out at least six weeks. Gray saw most of the work in passing situations in Week 3 after Rudolph came out. The team could also promote TE Chase Ford to the active roster.

Fantasy Tip: Gray is likely to make the bigger fantasy impact, and he has familiarity with offensive coordinator Norv Turner from their time in Cleveland. Gray will be a very cheap option at FantasyScore, but you'd likely be better off looking elsewhere.
