Chiefs | De'Anthony Thomas set for big role

Sat, 30 Dec 2017 20:25:42 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas is expected to have a big role against the Denver Broncos in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: The Chiefs are resting several starters, so Thomas should see plenty of snaps. Patrick Mahomes' big arm and Thomas' big-play speed could hook up for a long play, but Thomas is still no more than a DFS dart throw.

Chiefs | De'Anthony Thomas to be No. 2 WR

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 15:44:05 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas is expected to work as the team's No. 2 wide receiver in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys with WR Albert Wilson (hamstring) ruled out.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas will be the team's No. 2 wideout, starting opposite Tyreek Hill. He could see an increase in targets, and the versatile receiver might even see a rush or two. However, he hasn't had more than three touches in a single game this season, so he is still only worth considering as a WR5 in deeper fantasy formats at this time.

Chiefs | De'Anthony Thomas has big grab, TD

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:10:35 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas posted three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: The highlight of the day was a 57-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. He entered with just three receptions for 22 yards all season, so the score was quite the surprise. Despite the score he isn't someone who warrants fantasy consideration in most formats.

Chiefs | KC receiver depth still unsettled

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 13:43:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Albert Wilson, Chris Conley, Rod Streater, De'Anthony Thomas and Tyreek Hill will all compete for playing time behind WR Jeremy Maclin. Head coach Andy Reid liked what he saw from Wilson and Conley during offseason workouts, though.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson and Conley probably have an inside edge with their experience and familiarity with the system. Maclin is really the only Chiefs receiver with any real fantasy value, but Wilson and Conley are worth a look as a WR5.

Chiefs | Big plays rare for De'Anthony Thomas

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 21:48:11 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas' longest play from scrimmage in 22 games is 36 yards, and he is averaging just 7.4 yards per catch.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas' biggest asset is his big-play speed, but unfortunately, he hasn't been able to produce many big plays. He is nothing more than a late-round flier at this point.

Chiefs | De'Anthony Thomas not in trade talks

Tue, 29 Mar 2016 13:29:21 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas has not been involved in trade talks with the San Francisco 49ers, according to Chiefs general manager John Dorsey.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas is a former Oregon Duck, which would make some sense with former Oregon coach Chip Kelly now in San Fran. Thomas has been more of a special teams contributor in his two seasons in the NFL, and he caught just 17 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown in 2015. He's unlikely to garner any fantasy interest anytime soon.

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 00:00:58 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas (concussion) said Wednesday, Jan. 20, on his official Twitter account that he is "still trying to recover from my concussion." There have been conflicting reports from the team about Thomas' status.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas wasn't much of a fantasy factor, and his status is up in the air for 2016. Even with a change of scenery it's hard to see him making much of an impact.
