Free-agent FS Deon Grant (Giants) has not retired, and he feels he will be re-signed by the New York Giants sometime during training camp. "This is the first time in three or four years - and this was the longest one - that I can say I came out completely healthy," Grant said. "I revamped everything and my body feels wonderful right now."

Free-agent SS Deon Grant (Giants) was extremely popular in the locker room, and he brought veteran leadership and a calming presence, as well as versatility on the field. For now, the New York Giants appear to intent on seeing what they have heading into training camp, but the possibility still exists that Grant could return at some point.

New York Giants SS Deon Grant (head) left the Divisional Round playoff game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Jan. 15, due to a head injury. He went to the locker room, passed concussion tests, and was able to return to the game.

New York Giants S Deon Grant (quadriceps), CB Aaron Ross (concussion), RB Da'Rel Scott (knee), DL Osi Umenyiora (ankle, knee), RB Danny Ware (concussion) and CB Corey Webster (hamstring) are probable for the Divisional round this weekend. Grant, Umenyiora and Webster were limited in practice Friday, Jan. 13, while the others practiced in full.

New York Giants SS Deon Grant will wear the helmet with radio communication in Week 12 in place of LB Michael Boley (hamstring). Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell said he wants Grant to wear the helmet because he is on the field a majority of the time. It is not known if Boley will wear the helmet once he is able to return.
