Colts | Details on Jack Doyle's contract

Tue, 07 Mar 2017 17:03:12 -0800

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle's three-year contract is worth $19 million with an extra $2 million possible with incentives, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: As stated earlier, Doyle was barely in TE1 territory last season despite sharing snaps with Dwayne Allen. In what should be a similar situation this year, Doyle remains a low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 candidate.

Colts | Jack Doyle staying with Colts

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Jack Doyle agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Colts Tuesday, March 7, according to a source. Financial details were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Doyle came out of nowhere last year to finish in TE1 territory, even while splitting time with Dwayne Allen. A similar situation could unfold this season, but Doyle should still be considered a low-end TE1 to high-end TE2.

Colts | Jack Doyle will be a free agent

Tue, 28 Feb 2017 13:03:38 -0800

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Jack Doyle will test the free-agent market despite the Colts' attempts to re-sign him, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Look for Doyle to garner plenty of interest in free agency in what is a relatively weak free-agent group of tight ends. Doyle jumped onto the fantasy radar last year even while splitting time with Dwayne Allen. As a matter of fact, Doyle finished in TE1 territory, playing in all 16 games. Depending on where he plays, Doyle is a low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 consideration.

Jaguars | Jacksonville may look at several TEs

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 15:02:07 -0800

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent TE Jared Cook, Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent TE Jermaine Gresham and Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Jack Doyle could receive interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars during free agency.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars have agreed to trade Julius Thomas to the Miami Dolphins and do not have a replacement on their roster, so they will be looking to add another tight end this offseason. The Jaguars likely will use their tight end in the passing game but that player should only be considered a No. 2 tight end in most leagues.

Colts | Jack Doyle could land big deal

Wed, 15 Feb 2017 20:52:16 -0800

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Jack Doyle could receive a contract in the neighborhood of $5 million to $7 million annually, according to Jim Ayello, of The Indianapolis Star. He would be due $9.84 million in 2017 should the Colts chose to tag him, which appears unlikely.

Fantasy Tip: Doyle enjoyed a breakout season in 2016, but even with the salary cap increase, such a deal seems awfully steep. Monitor his movement; in the right situation, Doyle could become a weekly starting consideration for fantasy purposes.

Colts | Jack Doyle likely to test free-agent waters

Sat, 11 Feb 2017 15:05:54 -0800

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle is expected to have several suitors in free agency following his breakout 2016 season in which he finished with 59 catches for 584 yards and five touchdowns, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts absolutely love what Doyle brings to the locker room and it should be noted he pretty much rivaled Coby Fleener's best seasons in Indy with the year he just had. However, Dwayne Allen received a huge four-year contract last season and isn't going anywhere, while the Colts are high on the upside of Erik Swoope, With all the help Indianapolis needs on defense, it is possible Doyle will be allowed to walk if he doesn't agree to a team-friendly deal.

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 19:54:10 -0800

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Jack Doyle will likely have multiple suitors in free agency, according to beat writer Stephen Holder.

Fantasy Tip: Despite sharing duties with Dwayne Allen, Doyle emerged as a viable weapon in the passing game. If he is given the chance to be the No. 1 tight end somewhere, he could be a TE1 candidate in 2017.
